What do devs think about an option to auto hide the bars on the bottom while windowed like it does in fullscreen?
we are working on it, but should not just hide / show bars, make it semi-transparent top of the video.
need new *bars, classes....

testing latest builds with flybar enabled, mpc-be in fullscreen mode freeze when jump to previous/next video file using back/forward command (I get a black screen and when moving mouse the "mpc-be is not respondig" dialog box)

madvr+lav filters

update
with flaybar enabled, it seem that something going wrong when opening a new video file while in fullscreen mode: I've tried some settings combination, if I disable "use worker thread to construct the filter graph" in Options-> Playback everything work fine!

It enters fullscreen but doesn't leave it.

Disable internal video decoders, keep blank in "external filters tab" ,play, the active decoder is still internal mpc video decoder.

A bug?

Edit: I knew why.
I registered the standalone MPCVideoDec.ax (for dxva checker test), this caused the bug. Unregister it, everything works fine.

Impressive work on the support for embedded cue-sheets and cover art within flac and wavpack files. Thanks a lot!
However, I have one minor question: Could you enable the Zoom-function (Alt+1-4) for covert-art too, and have it auto-zoom to 100% if that function is enabled in Option->Playback?

There's seems to be something wrong with the standalone WVSplitter.ax:
VFW_E_CANNOT_CONNECT (0x80040217)
No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection.
It won't connect to "File Source (Async.)".

I think this option (http://i.imgur.com/B689gRI.png) should be checked by default, it calculated more accurate duration (Same is LAV Splitter) with many of my local mpeg files.

How do you think?:)

PS: http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=387610&uk=3558042035
uncheck that option: 7min34s
check that option: 7min41s
LAV Splitter: 7min40s (correct)

While not the case in Win7, in WinXP I get messed-up colours with the "MPC Video Decoder", and not only on this video, but A LOT more! Obviously MPC-HC doesn't have this issue.

Fixed.Thanks.
Could you tell me btw why MPC-BE's standalone filters each are ±1.2MB(!) larger in size than MPC-HC's?

Reading about xy-VSFilter vs MPC-HC internal subtitle render I found a file (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19804113/Forumi/Fajlovi/doom9/t%20%281%29.mkv) that can be used to test if render can properly handle typesetting in ASS subtitles.
So, I decided to test MPC-HC and MPC-BE ISR if those can show subtitles correctly.

I checked Position subtitles relative to video frame in both players.

Here is the result:

I see - playback broken is options "Sub picture to buffer" set to 0(zero).

I say many times - this is do not optimal options. Probably will in the future, i will remove this. If set 0 - there is no queue use for render subtitle - it's bad, very bad.

And many complex ass/ssa subtitles need "Sub picture to buffer" to be set to 0 , otherwise they cant be displayed correctly...

Right, BE supports external .sup (no support on xy/hc) and has improved internl PGS many times (hc has many such bugs).

But xy-vsfilter has one advantage which other players lose, "horrible" anime subtitle (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1606760&postcount=411).:)

Too bad because the playlist it's the closest thing MPC-BE has to a library

Anyway, any updates to the Сross-compile toolchain (http://dev.mpc-next.ru/index.php/board,15.0.html) since the GCC 4.8.0 has been released ?

P.S. You can use MPC-BE only with a remote control to play your media files from your libraries if you start MPC-BE with a command like : mpc-be64.exe "C:\...\...\Videos\" "D:\...\Music" "E:\ServerFolders\Recorded TV" /fullscreen and then open the playlist to select the file(s) you want to play (last part only and if the playlist will be functional via keyboard / remote control :))

Please can you take another look at the crashing of MPC-BE when deselecting the internal MPEG source filter to use LAV for Bluray disk/files.

This crash only occurs in Windows 8 x64 with the VS2012 x64 build.

I have also uploaded the crash dump,
