Yes - on Nvidia with DXVA2 Resize must use "8-bit integer" only.

Is anyone else having problems with full screen mode with the newest versions of madVR? On my system, when switching from Windowed to FSE, the video window disappears but the audio keeps playing. Doesn't occur with MPC-HC.

Had same problem on Win 10, couldn't resolve
Rolled back to 8.1., problem gone.

Hi everyone,

I've asked a few times if we could have an option to not show the file name when playback starts and OSD is enabled, but it didn't happen.

I'm wondering if it would be easier/possible to get a shortcut for enabling/disabling OSD instead? Maybe that would benefit more users?

That way, we could disable OSD by default so that the file name isn't displayed when playback starts, and enable OSD when we want to see some info like playback/remaining time.

I'm aware that this is a very minor feature request. I guess it's only an issue for those like me who have an HTPC as their main source in a cinema room and who find that displaying a file name distracts from the experience of watching the movie yet appreciate the ability to display some important info during playback. Maybe I'm the only one in which case you're certainly right to ignore my request.

In any case, thanks for all the good work. If such a minor issue is the only thing that keeps bothering me, it means that the product is great :).

I increased queue and cache size in "performance" and changed "EVR buffers" to 4 and I'm very happy with the difference on my low-spec laptop.

I'd like to tweak wifi cache too. How can I do it?

Video and Audio are not in sync.
MPC-HC has no problem.

Great work on the Statistics OSD Part it doesn't cause so much render interferences it seems like it does with MPC-HC though i wonder why the difference with EVR Custom :)

Volume Change on MPC-HC can cause micro stuttering on OSD Rendering that's not the case it seems with MPC-BE, very nice and stable.

CPU and GPU Usage is also a nice addition, doesn't interfere with the Video Rendering everything seems nicely layered.

Somebody seemed to care about really high clean Windows Performance not only the look of the Application.

Render Frametime would be a nice addition to the Statistics specially with the Shader Part.

A Graph only mode without any Text Statistics would be a nice addition as well.

What is used for GPU Usage calculation ?


About OSD - we are rewrite OSD mechanism, now it's don't use direct draw through video renderer(as it was and how it's work in MPC-HC). That's why it does not affect the video output :)

About GPU usage - use some function direct from Nvidia drivers(.dll) i compare result with GPU-Z and they look like the same :)

I encountered the same error on one PC, and fixed it by uninstalling FFDShow (x64) and some other legacy stuffs. Not for sure, but it was my only experience.

I tried to mux some video with some PIP in it using the latest mkvtoolnix version, using VLC i can display the two streams properly, but using latest beta of MPC-BE doesn't seems possible, the video stream sub menu in greyed out, tried with a bunch of renderer but without success.

Internal MatroskaSplitter support only 1 video stream, it's a limitation.

Anyway. I've just installed Windows 10 and encountered an extremely frustrating bug. The context menu for media files to play or add to the list in MPC-BE no longer works. Neither does it work for folders. I've tried dragging files into the list and that doesn't work either - not sure if it did before though. Basically the only way to queue up files now is to go File->Open File/Folder or to right click in the playlist and click Add.

This pretty much kills usability to be honest, though I'm still using it.

Is there a work around or do I need to wait for the program to become Windows 10 compatible.

Somehow, I cannot play mkv files anymore, h264 or h265. It crashes with App Crash saying error is OLEAUT32.dll

Ask author of madVR - what he say about its. I somethimes use madVR for test and all be fine.

Check the madVR OSD (Ctrl+J) to see if the "movie xx.xxx fps" information is the same, when using the internal filter vs. LAV.

I have a weird problem. Player works fine only for the first time and after I press reset button in Miscellaneous option, bringing back default settings. After I start any video it works like mp4, mov, avi, wmv, until I try to play mkv video, where player crashes with following report:

Slightly confused by your post, were you discussing a fix or just reporting the same issue? What I gathered is that MPCBEShellExt64.dll needs updating to work with 10, I can't do that right?
