Guys, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Advanced priorities settings in lav splitter don't seem to work with mpc-be. I need ADVANCED SETTINGS. Like here, for example:

You using history in MPC-BE? If yes - it's also remember selected audio/subtitles streams.

The TV channels I watch on YouTube have live broadcasts. I can watch channels like a TV with MPC-BE. But sometimes they restart these live streams and the Video ID changes. When the ID changes, the addresses I added to my Playlist become unavailable. But the addresses of these channels do not change. For example: https://www.youtube.com/c/NTV, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtc-a9ZUIg0_5HpsPxEO7Qg. Could there be a way to quickly open live streaming addresses on these channels?

For example, if https://www.youtube.com/c/NTV/live is typed, it only opens the live broadcast on that channel.

I don't know how possible it is possible to do this or any other arrangement, but I still wanted to ask.

This way the browser opens the live stream of the channel directly. I didn't know this before :) , but MPC-BE can't open it this way.

Not here ! I tested it also on another PC - same problem.
So maybe something got broken in the German version of Win10 (19042.610) ? Hopefully other German users can comment ? Klaus ?

I did a clean fresh install of Win10 20H2 and have already updated to optional update which updated Win10 from 19042.572 to 19042.610:

I updated already to latest nightly build 5633 and can confirm that it is working, i mean it is remembering the window size.

I went back to 5631 and can confirm it is working also there. If it is not working for you, try to reset settings of MPC-BE and configure new.

But on the second PC that I mentioned MPC-BE was not installed before so I think there is something else going on. 5629 works but 5631 and 5633 are broken. Both in registry- or ini-mode.

Follow up - made a few more tests.
@ devs and Klaus. Can you please check what happens if you close BE windowed and/or fullscreen ?

Is there a way to save the window format? Sorry but I don't know what it's called. When you open MPC-BE you can select either "1", "2", or "3" for different window formats. I prefer "2" but every time I open MPC-BE it defaults to "1".

In mpc-hc you can use a command line switch in launch icon properties:
/viewpreset N
Start with specific preset, where N is either "1" Minimal, "2" Compact or "3" Normal

EDIT: However, this option is not listed for mpc-be.

@ devs and Klaus. Can you please check what happens if you close BE windowed and/or fullscreen ?

When I come home I do the tests.
I tested it that way: open MPC-BE, configure the settings to remember window size and don’t change size when playback starts. I also closed MPC-BE and checked window size after 2nd start of MPC-BE and it remembered.
So today I try maximised and Fullscreen (Alt+Enter) if it remembers the window size after closing and 2nd Start. Did I get you right?

Where did you extract the portable compressed folder to? Use place without need for admin rights. If you have path where you need admin rights to write, .ini file won‘t be updated due to missing rights.

On my main rig the problem is now gone with r5636 !! Don't know if the devs looked into it and made some changes or if it was just windows own security tools intervening for whatever reason.
Will check the other PC tomorrow but I think it will be fine again now too. If not ... I'll be back ;)

Hi, I have a problem with MPC-BE (1.5.5 (build 5433)). When I start a stream on Discord to stream a movie, the software stops responding (as I move forward in the video).
Strangely enough, the sound continues to work, but the program does not respond and ends up closing.

It works with the video software built into Windows (Movies and Videos).

There are two files in the archive : the patch file and the mplayer.rc file. I couldn't make a patch for the mplayer.rc file since it's treated as binary... The patch is based on version r5647.
