Almost all subtitles between 00:21 and 01:30 are shown later than they should be.

Updated german Translation. I sent you a pm

Feature request: Delay timer like MPC-HC has it. I made a request there some time ago and they added it.
Reason: Every TV or monitor needs some seconds when switching from one refresh rate to another.
Please use also the delay when switching between D3D-fullscreen and window-mode. This is very important.
I think the time should be adjustable since the time the displays need is different from one to another.

v0lt

@Klaus1189
I do not understand what kind of delay in question.
Like madVR? There screen flashes after a few seconds switching to full screen. This will not happen, because bad idea.

huhn
10th September 2015, 15:49
a TV needs a long time to change refresh rates.

if you change the refresh rate from 60 hz to 23 hz the screen can be black for over a sec but audio is still played.

with other words there should be an option to delay playback when the refresh rate changed.

Klaus1189
10th September 2015, 16:46
Exactly. The feature they added for me is located here

If set to 0 it is like now, but for users like me this option is very important. No flashing :)

Note that I set it to 8 secs (!!) so the video starts after the OSD Info of my Samsung monitor and on my Samsung TV disappears.

I do not see the picture.

I do not understand the problem. The settings (View->Otions->Video->Fullscreen) have a lot of options for all occasions.

huhn
10th September 2015, 17:48
but no option for that.

it's mostly for HTPC use anyway. users with an normal PC monitor normally doesn't need that.

Klaus1189
10th September 2015, 18:11
I made a short video with my mobile phone where you can see the feature in action.

Without the feature you don't see the complete video. In this example you don't see the beautiful back of Nicole.

BTW: My soundsystem doesn't sound so bad, it's the way my crappy Galaxy Note 4 picks up sound. And not happy with Android, next time iOS, but that's another story ...

I tested build 758:
It looks like refresh rate change works now.
But why do we need the checkbox marked in the picture?
-> If delay is set to 0 secs we don't need it and when the seconds are set, it is automatically on.
I did a reset on mpc-be and now I can't enable the checkbox marked in the picture. What do I have to do?

I found a bug: wrong resolution/refresh rate stored. I filmed with my mobile phone what's happening:

If I play a video with D3D-mode and press for example o for options on the keyboard, it is opened but it can't be displayed because D3D-mode doesn't support that, so I think we should disable such keyboard shortcuts which don't work while D3D-mode is being used, because if a button on the keyboard is pressed without you know that, you can't close MPC-BE like I reported that with o for options while D3D-mode is used.

Klaus1189

There are two ways to add MPC-BE to context menu:

(1) In options/formats you can add MPC-BE to context menu (two entries: Play and add to playlist) which is very useful, but I think we should add the icon of MPC-BE to the context menu entries. These look a bit empty. -> explorer context.png

(2) While Installation the user can install another context menu entry which should be removed because it is obsolete -> It's already in MPC-BE integrated -> (1).
We should remove this obsolete thing from the installer. -> installer.png

Do we really need the association entries in the installer? Every user must set up MPC-BE for his/her needs and can enable file association in options. I think these are also obsolete.

It will look better :)

If you select while install "Install the shell extension" - then you'll get similar menu items in explorer.

This one is the obsolete one. Icons which doesn't represent MPC-BE and hard to remove if the user wants to disable this. The integrated ones -> (1) can be disabled and are fine.
Please remove it from the installer. No need for it.

BTW the bug is even more ugly if you think about it. You must select it because it only looks like it is already set up to play these framerates at 60.000p

hi v0lt - I know that you can change playrate, what I mean is change the playrate variable e.g. i prefer 0.25x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 4x instead of the current preset, and someone else prefers different variables. Similar to how you can change the seek e.g. some prefer 5 seconds, some prefer 10 seconds so my request was whether we can change the playrate variable please thank you!

Thank you. That's too bad then. The logic in that option is not good e.g. either 'auto' or absolute multipliers. Hope you reconsider custom rate setting, even if just in registry or ini.

I have the same question like regular MPC-HC, since behaviour is the same. I cannot play mkv files and HEVC files, with default settings and custom external LAV filters and splitters as well.

What I have found with some older MPC-HC 1.5.3.3725 (sorry for wrong threat but situation is completely the same) when turn on Audio Built-In switcher everything starts working well, I can play whatever file format. If I turned it off I cannot play mkv and HEVC files.

Could you see what s a problem and possbile make some fix.

AMD R9 290 card
Creative Audigy sound card.
