MPC is not anymore able do transcode an AAC 5.1 audio stream (e.g. from a mkv) to an AC3 and stream it to a SPDIF...it even hangs or gives only stereo or no sound at all, depending on the details of the setup (Win7x86; MPC with internal filters)...tried MPC Audio Renderer, Direct Sound,...

I'm currently using LAV filters and MPC BE, but can't navigate DVD menus, regardless of which settings I use in each. A Google search did not find a solution.

Is it possible to add a delay to the second audio renderer?

The two I'm trying to use, hdmi and speaker out, are 20-30 ms out of sync which makes for a slight echo.

For about 2-3 weeks or so I have not been able to compile the x86 build of MPC-BE. I use VS2013 and have tried updating to the latest Mingw from http://dev.mpc-next.ru/index.php/topic,1828.0.html, I have also tried a fresh checkout. Compiling the x64 build works fine.

Get the following errors,
8> ../../../bin13/lib/Release_Win32/ffmpeg.lib
8> ar: ../../../bin13/obj/Release_Win32/ffmpeg/libavfilter\af_atempo.o: No such file or directory
8> make.exe: *** [../../../bin13/lib/Release_Win32/ffmpeg.lib] Error 1
8> The system cannot find the file specified.

Error 1 error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'D:\Files\Source\MPC-BE\bin13\lib\Release_Win32\ffmpeg.lib' D:\Files\Source\MPC-BE\src\apps\mplayerc\LINK mpc-be

The af_atempo.o file does exist as indicated above but wandering if it should not be /af_atempo.o as the path vs \af_atempo.o indicated above?

Is there a problem with the MpcAudioRenderer mpc-be standalone filter included in the current stand alone filter pack (Standalone Filters MPC-BE 1.0.3.0 x86).

I, purely as a tester, along with ccrocker (madVR player dev on the MeediOS project) have been trying to introduce the filter as an alternative option to ReClock for WASAPI playback. Although the filter can be registered correctly and added to the graph, playback continually falls to the Windows Audio config and we get a 5.1 in, 2.0 out scenario.

Is the standalone filter broken?

As part of the MeediOS project ccrocker has developed a plug-in, which enables Meedios to use madVR as an alternative player - obviously giving users the option of using madVR as an internal player in conjunction with LAV filters and xy-sub filters, rather than the built in playback engine - presumably evr based, though I can't say for certain.

What he has done is add support to this player to offer MpcAudioRenderer as an option to either the default, or Reclock renderers, thereby giving WASAPI (which I believe the renderer as part of the standalone filters provided) access without the need to have reclock installed.

As I understand it, with the filter correctly registered, the plugin will build the graph discretely, telling Directshow where and how to put the various filters rather than letting directshow decide and possibly insert other filters that may have higher preferences.

However having registered and chosen the MpcAudioRenderer as preferred renderer, despite a multi-channel source, the output (where Windows Sounds are set to stereo), provides only a stereo stream. With WASAPI correctly active I would expect it to bypass that setting and produce identical output to input (Yes/No?).

Unless this is adequate to get some help or advice, what I will do is ask the dev to chime in with a few more specifics and see how we go from there.

EDIT: And yes, Keep Aspect Ratio doesn't seem to have effect.

Try Options->Internal Filters-> Video Decoders -> Video Decoder configuration -> Read AR from stream

Change it to undetermined (Square box) if it isn't.
