possible bug: When switching settings store location from registry to ini file mpc-be forgets the settings of MPC Audio Renderer (Wasapi Shared / Excl.)

Agree. It looks like a problem with all the built-in filters.

Little reminder; Problem is still present.

2. AVC/H264 DXVA gives broken image on latest build 1.4.6 1587, I use Windows 8.1 64-bit, GPU: Intel HD 3000 Sandy. I only have latest stable 1.4.5 on my hdd and fine with it. If there's a build that I should check to confirm the latest working build, let me know.
Thanks.

This is the last version that supports Windows XP.

I see, so MPC-BE behave different than most of player that support WASAPI Exclusive I ever found, usually when they stopped, device can be used by other player. Okay, thanks.

Is it possible to have mpc-be to differentiate between ffdshow raw 32 bit and 64 bit? Currently when I tick ffdshow raw in 32 bit or 64 bit it selects it for both 32 bit and 64 bit players. I want them to remember independently.

Are there any "telemetry codes" (http://news.softpedia.com/news/visual-studio-2015-secretly-inserts-telemetry-code-into-c-plus-plus-binaries-505113.shtml) in the nightly / beta (https://yadi.sk/d/hlf1lfC8mKU58) release of MPC-BE ?

P.S. More info at "Visual Studio 2015 Secretly Inserts Telemetry Code into C++ Binaries" (http://news.softpedia.com/news/visual-studio-2015-secretly-inserts-telemetry-code-into-c-plus-plus-binaries-505113.shtml)

EDIT Stable version it's compiled with 2013 apparently so no telemetry

^ Semi-OT — regarding the telemetry "thing"...

Well, µ$oft themselves is the only one to be blamed in this case... I mean, ambiguous terminology, because the marketing people speak louder than the technical staff. For example, a boot partition is called "system partition" and vice-versa... ISO-9660 becomes "CD File System", UDF becomes "Live File System" :rolleyes: , and so on.

Well done , this version works fine now. And the video's image is as good as lavfilter's ( I say that because when using mpc-be, video's image has many blurs/artifacts under dxva2 native . Now it seems the problem existing in all versions of mpc-be has been solved).

:thanks:

Yes, it does: open it, then you'll see it in the Help menu. "Specific time" isn't supported you have to "program" it (e.g. in batch and the help of Task Scheduler).
What do you want to do? Alarm? :)

Hi chros,

Thank you for the reply. I found a Thumbnails software call Video Thumbnails Maker which create thumbnails (image) of a video. It support "open file at the specific time", so the "time" that the thumbnails was capture, clicking on that will open the video at that specific time.

It just something that I'm interested in taking advantage of.

Anyway, I never knew the "Command line switch", I see that it currently does support it using, "start pos hh:mm"

Will try it in future. Thank you.

I'm trying to create a context menu item for win8.1x64 which will call ffmpeg for remuxing.

this is the command:
ffmpeg -i "%1" -c:v copy -c:a copy "%1".avi

here's an example context menu entry:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv]
@="Flash Video"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\DefaultIcon]
@="\"C:\\portable program files - linked\\media player classic - black edition\\x64\\mpciconlib.dll\",36"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\shell]
@="open"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\shell\open]
@=""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\shell\open\command]
@="\"C:\\portable program files - linked\\media player classic - black edition\\x64\\mpc-be64.exe\" \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\shell\remuxtomp4]
@="remux to .mp4"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\shell\remuxtomp4\command]
@="ffmpeg -i \"%1\" -c:v copy -c:a copy \"%1\".avi"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\shellex]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mpc-be64.flv\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\MPCBEShellExt]
@="{A2CF4243-6525-4764-B3F5-2FCDE2F47989}"

when the entry is chosen, Win8.1 opens a window asking if the chosen program should be run or MPC-BE and the call to ffmpeg is never executed.

The best I can tell, there is no actual statement of default association, there is only this declaration:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.flv]
"Application"="wmplayer.exe"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.flv\OpenWithList]
"MRUList"="ab"
"a"="mpc-be64.exe"
"b"="MediaInfo.exe"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.flv\OpenWithProgids]
"WMP.PlayMedia"=hex(0):

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.flv\UserChoice]
"Hash"="we9jqwrTGIE="
"ProgId"="mpc-be64.flv"

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.flv is completely empty.

Does anyone know enough about how associations work to determine what is missing and how to correct the problem?

rock
22nd June 2016, 23:10
Maybe because Windows cannot find the executable file. Replace ffmpeg to the file location directly (e.g. you have ffmpeg.exe in C:\Programs then use C:\Programs\ffmpeg.exe). I wonder why you use extension .avi

FredThompson
23rd June 2016, 22:37
".avi" was a typo left over from something else.

Your assumption was correct.

The path must be explicitly stated. I thought the system path would be used.

Thanks for your help. Fixed now.
