Anyway, thanks again for your great software len0x.

Here is something that doesn't happen every day - a new version of AutoGK - 2.30 beta only for readers of this thread (that's why its not anounced in the first post and on the website). I found some old sources with a slightly different GUI that I've done more than half a year ago to support unlimited number of audio/subs streams. Merged them into current version and it seems to be working but I cannot gurantee anything as I simply don't remember the state it was in... Have a go at it :)
P.S. its in the beta section on the website and don't forget to check out CTRL-F11 options :)
Thank you very very much. It fixed problem I have been working on in this thread.

I found a problem witn AutoGK 2.30b.
I deleteted the AutoGK.ini, then I run AutoGK and change the audio options to mp3 vbr. I close AutoGK , reopening it the audio options are all set to default: Auto.
The settings aren't saved also if the AutoGK.ini is generated.

Thanks len0x for this new release.
multiple audio encoding is a nice addition, subtitles didnt show up in the final video but i will test it later today again.
Autogk seems faster compared with the last version, altough i wish there was a way to disable the compressibility check.

To be more precise, in the status bar at the bottom of the autogk window all settings are showed as auto while if I go in the advanced options I find the flag on mp3 vbr. If now I click on OK also in the status bar it shows me mp3 vbr but if I close and reopen AutGK I have again the problem.
If I start a conversion, AutoGK use the parameters on the bar at the bottom and not what is in the advanced settings, so I have every time to open the advanced settings e click OK.
Here are the screenshots to help you to understand the problem.

Just found a problem with NTCS source in the new version.
I did 2 tests with the exact same NTCS source.
In the old version (2.27)everything is fine:
[2006-08-13 17:15:53] Found NTSC source.
[2006-08-13 17:15:53] Source aspect ratio: 4:3
[2006-08-13 17:15:54] Color correction enabled.
[2006-08-13 17:15:54] Analyzing source.
[2006-08-13 17:24:17] Source is considered to be interlaced.
In the new version (2.31) things go wrong:
[2006-08-13 18:11:35] Found NTSC source.
[2006-08-13 18:11:35] Source aspect ratio: 4:3
[2006-08-13 18:11:35] Source seems to be pure FILM.
Output is very crappy (skipped deinterlacing I guess) and as you can see in the log it skipped the "analyzing source" step.
Thanks.

Hi Len0x.
Thanks again for new version but i will be greatfull for you if you can also solve audio sync problem, which started after replacing besweet to azid/norm/lame
Just put besweet and remove azid etc or make option for the user that what audio encoding tool he wants to use [BeSweet or azid/normalize/lame].
Also add one button in advance setting to call hidden options instead of Ctrl+F9 & Crtl+F11 etc
Put .divx and .avi option back (in advance setting, its disabled for long time)
Adding support for H-264
Total removal of agk_tmp folder can probably be controlled via hidden option now.
Thanks in advance

after installing auto gk 2.32b, all of the xvid files i have encoded before installation with either auto gk 2.27 or virtual dub will crash MPC when i try to play them.
however, the files i encode with auto gk 2.32b play fine.
when i load the compression menu with virtual dub, i have 2 xvid mpeg-4 choices instead of the usual 1. the fourcc code on the duplicate is 'yv12'. this choice was not here before installation of auto gk 2.32b
my previous xvid codec was the february 28 2006 bundled with auto gk 2.27. the xvid codec bundled with auto gk 2.32b is july 2006.
to get my earlier files to play correctly, i had to uninstall xvid completely and then re-install my older version.
the files i encoded with auto gk 2.32b using the july 2006 build of xvid play fine even after my re-installation of the feb 2006 build of xvid.
i wonder why?

14th August 2006, 16:48
i discovered my problem.
recently i installed the k-lite codec pack from august 13 2006, and it included some sort of divx settings manager that appears when you play ONLY divx movies, or so it seems!
apparrently, it was trying to load itself when i played xvid movies after the installation of auto gk 2.32b.
i disabled the settings manager by renaming it, so that it would fail to load.
my xvid files all play fine now, with the july 2006 xvid codec bundled with auto gk 2.32b.
however, i now have 2 xvid-mpeg 4 codec choices when i load the compression menu in virtualdub. the fourcc on 1 of the choices is 'yv12'. they appear to be the exact same codec, with the same information popup when i click 'about'. its the july 2006 build.
other than that, everything is fine now.

>>> and solve audio sync problem....
Hi,
This is kind of shouting (too loud for me).
1. Please see: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=114681
2. I have not experienced a/v desynch for DVD rip without newer protections Arccos etc... in recent AGK releases.
3. For recent DVDRip I have 9 of ten perfect rips without desynch using Ripit4me (in movie mode). I suppose I made a mistake for N°10 (HP & Goblet of fire); give it a try: http://www.ripit4me.org/index.html
And I used the Setarip_old trick to get the A/V back in synch: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=856657#post856657
You may also refer to a neuron2 recent post regarding how to post (or not post) in this forum: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=863219#post863219

whats the difference between the 2 programs???From http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=44244:What is VirtualDubMod?
VirtualDubMod was started as a unification of several popular modifications of the famous video editing software VirtualDub by Avery Lee (First 'members' were VirtualDubMPeg2, VirtualDubOGM and VirtualDubAVS). Since then many new features have been added and some new mods have been assimilated (e.g. VirtualDubNET).For more information, :readguid: -- Doom9 has specific examples of both VdubMod and Vdub procedures -- keyword search in http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/doc-overview.htm

mwvirk... I have encoded many things with AGK and not seen any AV sync problems, but even if I did the last thing I would do is to post like you did.
I think you need to try some other things to see if AGK is the problem or your source is at fault.

Thanks LenOx, excellent. Have also used to convert a home movie file to DivX so I could send it over the internet for relatives and friends far away. AGK worked without any problems. I had tried conversion with the "new" Dr DivX 2.0.0 and it kept crashing.

Thanks for the new release len0x. I know you said 2.32 would be the last release for this calendar year, but I'm gonna ask for a new feature anyways :)
One minor feature I have wanted for a long time is the ability to save/restore the job queue. It would be fine if this was done automatically (ie. always save on exit, and re-load on start). This is because I often queue up lots of jobs, but then might have to reboot (for whatever reason) before all jobs are finished. It's a pain to have to go through adding all jobs again.
Thanks again for a great app!

After updating from 2.27 to the latest 2.32 beta, the Output audio setting was reset back to Auto (I normally have it set to CBR). Some of the other settings may also be reset, but they were on defaults already so I couldn't say.
