Slider is moving. I can change it to higher than 127 kb/s.
But when i click config again it is still on 127 kb/s. And encode is 127 kb/s too. Even if i create a preset it is still same.
This problem is on Constrained VBR, ABR and CBR. Not on True VBR

I think this problem is based on that True VBR's max is 127.

You have two errors. The first is that ffms cannot index the audio part of the input file. Have you already updated ffms to r722? You can also try to downgrade ffms to 2.17 (http://code.google.com/p/ffmpegsource/downloads/detail?name=ffms-2.17.7z&can=2&q=)
And the second error may be a result of the first one.

Beside the file (cutting with VirtualDub may be possible) I need one full log file covering the whole OneClick process. So close/restart MeGUI, add one file to OneClick, start the process and wait untill the first error comes up. Upload this log.

For the moment, I cannot reproduce on my side...did you create several jobs and you're running them afterwards ? or did you use multiple workers for each jobs ?

I selected True VBR's q=100, Next i changed mode to Constrained or ABR or CBR. Then bitrate is changed to 100 kb/s.

This can be a pain as I sometimes want to change priority which is impossible to do so when this happens.

So the AviSynth profiles will not be applied to all files? Have to verify this and will fix it.
EDIT: All settings in the advanced tab will be ignored in batch mode. Maybe this is the problem. Have you selected the proper AviSynth profile in the OneClick profile?

I too would like to have the 'OneClick' button on the queue tab.

I keep running into a problem encoding from mpg files captured from my tivo. Opening such a file sometimes shows audio tracks that simply do not exist. The one click tool correctly identifies the main track and shows it as audio 1 but also loads these phantom tracks in additional tabs. If I process a folder, when the one click batch reaches such a file, the batch errors and stops complaining it cannot find the audio track file. Since it happens so often, I figured it would get knocked out as a bug fix but it has not.

Suppose Zathor could use an example file to work from. Let me know where to send it, I can find one thats not too large.

I use CineForm AVIs a lot, and they can not be indexed with FFMS. Maybe I'm missing somethings, but I don't see a way of using OneClick with AVISource/DirectShowSource.
Is it possible? If not could this option be added?

I would suggest to place the EXE files not in "\Program Files\MeGUI" but rather in "\Program Files\MeGUI\tools\eac3to" (so eac3to is able to use it in its own conversions); anyway, do configure the path.

You will find several different sites searching the web for "megui tutorial", even videos. But beginners may prefer different software with possibly less freedom, but better guidance. StaxRip (SourceForge project: staxmedia) may be one alternative.

I tried handbreak before, xmedia encode or recode but i only like megui as it is the best for dvd ripping, please help me mate to learn this please...........

Could you upload a sample of your file please ?

I have no problem uploading a sample, but as CineForm is a propriety codec you would need to install the decoder to read it. (there's a free "GoPro CineForm Studio" installer).

Note that when I have the codec installed, I have no problem importing an .avs that uses AVISource or DirectShowSource into MeGUI (using any method, including OneClick). I also have no issues using MeGUI's AviSynth script creator and choosing AVISource in the "choose your prefered way to open..." dialog.

However I can't see a way to open the AVI directly with OneClick, since there's no apparent way to fall back to AVISource/DirectShowSource when the file is not readable by any of the indexers.

In the stable build of MeGUI, it is possible to load up the VOBs of a DVD into the HD Streams Extractor, and extract the streams (cf. beginning of this post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=163647) for step by step instructions, images, etc., if this idea is not clear).

In the Development build of MeGUI, this no longer works. It works for a single VOB, but once the whole VOB sequence is selected it does not work (or, in general, if more than one VOB is selected).

If those file can be detected by MediaInfo we can switch to DirectShowSource/AviSource automatically. I assume that is the reason why Kurtnoise asked for the file. As a workaround you can create a AVS file with the AVS Script Creator (using AviSource) and load this file ans input file in OneClick.

In the stable build of MeGUI, it is possible to load up the VOBs of a DVD into the HD Streams Extractor, and extract the streams (cf. beginning of this post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=163647) for step by step instructions, images, etc., if this idea is not clear).

In the Development build of MeGUI, this no longer works. It works for a single VOB, but once the whole VOB sequence is selected it does not work (or, in general, if more than one VOB is selected).
I will have a look.

The FourCC in your file is not recognized yet by FFmeg libraries...

So, you need to change this with a small tool like Nic's FourCC changer (available in the Xvid codec package) :

Is it possible to include aspect ratio distortion calculator into avisynth script creator window? When I encode, I have to use Yoda's resize calculator to get the least amount of distortion because this feature is missing in MeGUI.
Also, I would like to see an option in avisynth script creator which will enable me to encode square pixels but using mod2. Now, I have to use mod16 and save the script, then manually open the .avs file and change, for example, vertical resolution from 400 to 402 or whatever and then open the script in MeGUI again.

The spinners step in jumps of 16 but you can just type over the height with whatever value you want

I did it today as I encoded a film which has OAR 2.40:1

Closest mod16 is 720 x 304, I just manually typed in a height of 300 (which is actually mod4)

There appears to be something odd going on with MeGUI 2188 and/or the development update server. I assume it relates to AVISynth although I've not touched the AVISynth installation and I've never had this problem before. I've duplicated the same problem using two PCs running XP.

After upgrading to version 2188 I get a "required component is missing" message and MeGUI decides "AVS" is not installed and wants to install version 2.5.8 (using the development update server).
I switched to the stable server, MeGUI gave me the same message on startup, only after letting it check for updates "AVS" is no longer included in the update list.
I rolled back to version 2174 and got the same "required component is missing" message at startup but AVS was not included in the list of updates.

Anyway, without knowing exactly how the process works, after switching update servers a couple of times, MeGUI 2174 now works while set to use the development update server and no longer tells me a required component is missing, but as soon as I switch back to version 2188 it does. At least I can use MeGUI if I stick to version 2174.

Seems like a reasonable idea until MeGUI decides a component is missing which isn't. Although if it's the update server which decides a component is missing which isn't, maybe it's not such a good idea.

The AviSynth 2.5.8 DLL in the AVS package is just a fallback for the case that you did not yet install AviSynth before using MeGUI. If you already installed AviSynth, MeGUI should be using your installed version. That may well be e.g. AviSynth-MT 2.6 by SEt (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=148782) as an update to the generic version 2.5.8 instead...

Correct. The reason is that MeGUI is now able to operate without installation (=portable) from a client where you do not have administrator permissions. Only remaining point is that for some actions in eac3to or dss2 you need the Haali splitter installed. Maybe this can be solved also - but currently you need to install it (but I will at least add a check if and which version is installed).

I have 2.5.8 installed. It's been installed from day 1 (after last reformat) and hasn't been touched since. MeGUI has always just used it.

Okay I let it install the AVS package and everything's back to normal. It's just the "required component is missing" message is rather counter-initiative if the required component is really a fallback and isn't actually required, as such.
I guess I just wasn't sure if the AVS package was something which would mess with the "system" AVISynth installation, hence my hesitation to install it, but I understand how it works now.

Hi.. i use a lot megui to rip my tv series so i use a lot the same settings, the same size and in general the bitrate calculator, it's not possible to autoselect in bitrate calculator the format i choose like output? (for example i want to save it to mp4, i select it, i open the bitrate calculator and i find the right format already selected). It's a little improvement but that will help everyone.
Same thing for the size of the bitrate calculator, it isn't possible to remember the last selected size? Or at least add an option to do that. with this option if i want the same size i just have to click ok, if i want instead to change it i still have to select the new size even without the option.
