Yes, I'm getting the same thing on build 1981. I'm doing an Autoencode producing a final .AVI. It fails when it tries to do the MUX. I've gone back to 1974 and all is working again.

The same case is with me :(

I can only mux .avi only when "PC" is set as Device Type in svn 1981's avi muxer.
The "Standard" Device Type gave me the same error as the others have.

Please post the avisynth script used (you have to expand the "Avisynth script" in the log viewer or post the log directly). Also please post your source file as I am not able to reproduce this. Have you tried it without cut list and delay in order to track down the error?

Since updating mp4box, I am now getting errors when muxing .264 and .ac3 into an mp4 file. Mp4box will not read the h264 video stream. Verified older version of mp4box in yamb works on same files. This is new error on same work process I have been using for some time.

It seems that every recent mp4box build has at least one big bug. I recommend to use MKV whereever possible.

Thanks for the update on mp4box. Unfortunatly the new version exits with an error that it cannot find msvcr100.dll which was not included in the zip file. Read a bit online about it and it seems to be some sort of VisualC redistributable file.

Should not MeGUI install this also if its needed for the update? Or can you point me where to get the correct version to install?

yes, you can use it directly in the audio panel...but this requires to have only one audio track.

We will find a solution. I did not know that some AAC formats can not be played with FFAudioSource. If this is the case we can bypass FFAUdioSource for these formats and try to decode it with DirectShowSource. This is not the prefered way but if this is the only way...
EDIT: Can you please upload your audio file?

EDIT: Can you please upload your audio file?

How about changing the default audio decoder back to DirectShowSource for .aac and make the File Indexer support indexing .aac using FFMSIndexer?

If the user want to use FFAudioSource, he/she will have to index it using the File Indexer first which will produce the .ffindex file and the .avs script that will be fed to the audio input tab.

How does that sounds?

I am not an expert in this so tell me your views.:)

Zathor
4th March 2011, 18:17
The problem is that DirectShowSource does not work "out of the box" for aac files. But a way could be to check if it can be decoded by FFMS and if not to revert to directshowsource.

Thnx for replying!
This plugins directory, I have to manually add it, right? I don't have it after I install AviSynth.
Anyway when I extract all plugins and when I start Megui, File Indexer, I input my MKV file, put it in queue and start the job, I get this error message

Sorry about posting the same thing is two threads but one says troubleshooting and the other says bug reports, so its hard to know where to post issues.

Anyway, just wanted to say I think the latest mediainfo update is bugged.

I just formated my computer and reinstalled everything and once I was done reinstalling and updating megui I got this error message everytime I tried to select an input file in File Indexer.

http://i54.tinypic.com/2jca5hx.jpg

Anyway, I reinstalled MeGUI again and went through the development server updates one by one and mediainfo is the one that caused the problem.

So anyone else get this problem after updating?

i'm getting the same error as vorkey. i installed a new megui today. when i go to open up a vob file through the file indexer, i get that error. i have ms visual 2010 installed along with ffdshow tryouts, haali media splitter, divx, xvid. has anyone figured out what the issue is?

P.S. i uninstalled megui and reinstalled it without updating mediainfo from the 0.7.39 build and megui works fine. the 0.7.42 mediainfo build is whats causing the problem when trying to index vob files.

Hi,

yesterday I encoded some interlaced content with MeGui using x264.

I created a new profile with the preset "very slow" and activated the advanced options to enable "Encode Interlaced" in the Frame-Type-Tab.

However x264.exe encoded the file progressive (checked with Mediainfo).

Now I checked it again:

When setting "Interlaced Encoding" the string "--interlaced" is added to the commandline however according to this post (http://doom10.org/index.php?topic=1351.0) the --interlaced switch is depreciated and -tff/-bff should be used instead.

Is this a bug of Megui or did I miss something?

I just download MeGUI r1911(certainly a x86 build, right?) from sf.
I found something weird when I run my encode.
My OS is XP x64. I installed solely x86 version avisynth.
I see the x264 in this version is too old, so I replace it with r1913 from x264.nl. I only replace the x86 build(found there's a x264_64.exe in the directory but I didn't touch it). When I run the encode, I found that it invoke the x264_64 but not the x86 version as expected.
And when I realized there's not a normal situation, I deleted the x86_64 and try run my encode again, the job simply done in a second, in other words, failed immediately.
How did it do that? Is this a feature or bug? I would like to utilize x264_x86 since my whole toolchain are x86. Thanks.

@Valeron
You can use the 64bit x264 for your encoding,it is suppose to be 10% faster than the 32bit x264 on a 64bit machine even though your work flow uses 32bit filters/decoders.
Nonetheless, you can set MeGUI to not use 64bit by un-checking this.

How does MeGUI feed the x64 version while my avisynth is x86? Won't there be any bottleneck?

Thank you so much.
P/S: mkvmerge (come with megui) 4.5 or 4.6 still got this problem :(
