But now the 2.15mt replace the Vanilla 2.14 and the ffmpeg-mt directory isn't updated.
...
Is a problem or the desired behaviour?
A tool update will only add files and never remove files. Therefore old files can be still available but they will not be used.
I don't want use the mt version:
- may be unstable
- old ffmpeg Dec. 15th update
- I only have 2 cores and want the second one for other tasks.
Please make a suggestion how to proceed. Use vanilla ones only, add both build in one package, add a second package with an option in the settings, ...

Hi there...
I have a problems with xvid-1.3.0-rc1 version after updating....
I can't open the encoded file with VDM & MPC. I can't render the file in AvsP via Directshowsource - only green screen.
Btw, the latest FFMS2 can open the encoded file.
Am I missing something? What's wrong?

ok, i guess you're using the development version of megui.
have you set the threads option higher than "1"?

No problem for me.
Like Sharktooth say I put the vanilla version at megui\tools\ffms folder.

Zathor, I really prefer the MT version. I have never had any problems with it and the speed difference is substantial.
If there are still users who want to use the single thread version I suggest adding a checkbox to the options screen where you can choose which version to use.
Another option would be to simply add both FFMS and FFMS-MT to the file indexing window, so you can choose using the radio buttons which one to use in each case.
I actually put in a feature request about this a couple of months ago but just closed it when I saw that FFMS-MT was now the default.

Croatian and serbian languages bug in MKV Muxer
This is from the log:
-[Error] An error occurred: Error: 'scr' is neither a valid ISO639-2 nor a valid ISO639-1 code. See 'mkvmerge --list-languages' for a list of all languages and their respective ISO639-2 codes.
-[Error] An error occurred: Error: 'scc' is neither a valid ISO639-2 nor a valid ISO639-1 code. See 'mkvmerge --list-languages' for a list of all languages and their respective ISO639-2 codes.
'hrv' (vrom hrvatski) is correct for Croatian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes)
'srp' is correct for Serbian
Also for romanian MKV Muxer is using 'ron' even more correct is 'rum', but this will not give an error.

setting priority to normal wont speed up the encoding unless you have other running programs that eat CPU cycles. also, your settings are awkward, expecially when there are presets. plus, --no-dct-decimate is a placebo option...
try something like: --bitrate 1500 --preset slow --sar 12/11
Now have i changed my decoder to ffdshow and i set Priority to Low, and now it works fine.

I noticed that megui puts the line, on xvid encoding, "-par 1:1"
This is bad because causes a custom AR which can be a pain for some players although it is the same of square pixels. Could be that line changed to "-par 1" which sets the default (square pixels)?
For now i add "-par 1" to the custom command line parameter but that should come by default, i guess.

When loading MKV file in File Indexer and keeping the option "Demux all track (btw: tracks, not track)", the result is an ffindex file which is correct, but NO audio file is demuxed, just an .avs file regarding audio.
Cosmetic: in MKV Muxer window, I think correct is "forced track".
Request: is possible to make some Blu-Ray > MKV "Remuxer"? Load Blu-Ray (like in HD Streams extractor), selecting the (HD and SD) audio tracks (also some encoding to be available for the HD audio track for the devices which can't play HD audio), subs, chapter and remux as MKV.

I've found a bug in the latest MeGUI, while using the FRAPS codec. This might be an issue with other codecs that use the YUV colorspace though.
When I open the AVI in MeGUI, it indexes and creates an .avs file. The standard .avs script that is created, the video looks way too dark. I'm guessing the FFVideoSource might be using 16-255 rather than 0-255 for color values?
Using the FFVideoSource() the video looks too dark: http://shadowdane.shackspace.com/megui_wrong.jpg
Switching to AVISource() the video looks correct: http://shadowdane.shackspace.com/megui_correct.jpg
This only started happening recently with the switch to the FFVideoSource function in the .avs scripts. I've been just manually editing this myself, but it is a little bit of a pain. This didn't start happen until recently.

Should be easily fixed by changing it to --forced.:)
Cosmetic: Under "Queue" tab fourth column, it should be "Encoder" instead of "Codec".
AFAIK x264 is an encoder and H264/AVC is the codec.
@Shadowdane
A faster way will be to open the .avi straight from the AVS Creator, it will skip the indexing process and use AVISource by default.

That's the way it works at the moment. There is currently no mkv demuxer available. There may be one in the future. Until then you can use the avs file to reencode the audio.

To extract/convert audio from MKV you can use Tools -> HD Stream Extractor (eac3to).
Don't work for all audio MKV supported codecs (like ogg vorbis) but for the most typical ones.

Would it be possible to show the profile used for an encode in the queue? Sometimes I encode something and come back later and need to encode another episode with the same settings and I don't always remember what profile I used for the original encode.

You just need to change the "-par 1:1" to "-par 1". It's the same thing but "-par 1:1" produces a custom pixel shape that some standalone players don't handle although it's the same of the default. "-par 1" creates the file with the default "square pixels" which is 1:1 but is not tagged as custom.

I would like to remove the snow encoder after the next stable release as it seems to be broken and nobody seems to use it. Is this correct?
Also I would like to streamline the audio encoders and remove redundant ones. At the moment I am thinking about removing Aud-X, Faac, FFmpeg AC3 and Winamp. Any objections? Am i going to remove the wrong ones?

Snow and Aud-X are discontinued anyways. winamp could be removed coz nero is better and way less compless to "install". not sure about ffmpeg ac3 and faac.
it could be worth supporting opensource aacplus encoder coz it's free and redestributable using the auto-update server.

Never used most of them before.
Maybe only used FAAC/WinAMP AAC before when I didn't know how to get Nero AAC working.:p
I feel that either FAAC/WinAMP AAC should be kept.
I am more on the FAAC side though, since it can encode audio output straight from a video without extracting the audio stream. :)

Yes, I'm getting the same thing on build 1981. I'm doing an Autoencode producing a final .AVI. It fails when it tries to do the MUX. I've gone back to 1974 and all is working again.
