Lots of crashes for me also on latest SVN with AVS Script Creator and One-Click Encode, had to go back to the old 2115 version I had saved. I'm retesting everything with latest SVN and mediainfo 0.7.53, I'll report back if I experience crashes similar to the ones reported by other users.

Edit: I get the following crash report:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: MeGUI.exe
Application Version: 1.0.2129.0
Application Timestamp: 4f841e1e
Fault Module Name: DGDecodeNV.dll
Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.2041
Fault Module Timestamp: 4e8e3d5b
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 00006e44
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

When the error occurs a small popup shows many times with the following text on it: CuTxtReadme()
I'm guessing on the text as this popup open and closes extremely rapid, until I kill MeGUI.

I have a valid DGDecodeNV license.

Zantor, the new version of dgindexnv (2041-1) you released fixes the crash, thank you for your great work.
Running the latest SVN versions, including mediainfo.

There is one error left that I had for a while but did not really bothered me.
The error occurs into cleanup step and is related to deletion of intermediate files:

Are both errors reproducable for you? I am asking because for me everything is fine.
The first one related to Video.dgi occurs every time and I had it for a while. As I said, it does not really bothers me as I usually close MeGUI and delete the file manually... but since I got into a little debugging, I wanted to report it. :)
For the MkvInfo error, I did not noticed it until I upgraded to 2129. I was running before 2122. To tell you the truth, I did not checked the logs for a while and I did a clean Windows install few days ago.

So far I got 2 movies showing both errors on 2129, I'm going to encode another one and let you know.
Edit: I see you released 2138, that is a big jump. :)

.h264 stream had been extracted by mkvextract. Regards
That's not a MeGUI error, is some poorly encoded movie you probably downloaded from the Internet.

Not, I had tried with my rips too, i hope that it may be problem of mkvextract. Because extract stream with 0 bytes size

Snapshot of mkvextract:

code mkvextract:

@echo off
mkv=C:\Program Files (x86)\MKVtoolnix\
folder= E:\Descargas\Fairy Tail\
cls

%mkv%mkvextract.exe tracks %folder%01.mkv 0:%folder%Video.h264

pause

I tried with --fullraw too.

Could you also confirm if the same happens to you with mkvextract?

HD Stream extractor uses eac3to, and its uses mkvmerge for extract tracks of matroska files. I work directly with mkvextract that is mkvtoolnix´s part.

Nope, eac3to don't use mkvextract.

Try disabling "improved avs opening" in the settings. if that does not help please try this build and post the log: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=163399

tried everything you said. no change

still no change!!! :)

MeGui encountered a fatal error and may not be able to proceed.
Reason: The File "....avs" cannot be opened.
Error message for your reference: attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication hat other memory is corrupt.

i've attached the video this time. hopefully you'll have time to check it!

Please upload also your d2v and avs files. You created the D2V file with the File Indexer of MeGUI?

I have no problem in encoding this file with
LoadPlugin("D:\MeGUI\tools\dgindex\DGDecode.dll")
DGDecode_mpeg2source("D:\MeGUI\_VIDEOS\rar.d2v", cpu=4, info=3)

Well its seems the problem was in yadif
I've removed from the script
LoadPlugin("C:\MeGui\tools\dgindex\DGDecode.dll")
DGDecode_mpeg2source("C:\rar.d2v", info=3)
LoadPlugin("C:\MeGui\tools\avisynth_plugin\ColorMatrix.dll")
ColorMatrix(hints=true, threads=0)
#Load_stdcall_plugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\yadif\yadif.dll")
#Yadif(mode=1)
Crop(4, 2, -2, -2).LanczosResize(704,400)
.........

I 've loaded yadif from MeGui/tools/yadif and works fine! Thanks

The .flac generated by the command line is correct no matter the WARNING and ERROR sended by flac.
Seems the lenght expected by flac is incorrect.

We have to options:
- Ignore the ERROR reported by flac and don't delete the output.
- Add to command line the parameter --ignore-chunk-sizes
always recommended for STDIN, but with the problem of the inexistent progress info.

Could all audio tracks extracted in a megui audio queue have the job number appended to their extracted output? audio_1, audio_2 etc to stop the below issue.

Makemkv rips all dvds to the same name for me title00.

I always output my completed files to the same directory. Each video comes from their separate video directories.

Due to the naming being the same title00 when extracted it appears the extracted AC3 audio files are overwriting each other.

Therefore the error I get is that the first movie has in its final output the muxed audio track of the last video in queue and all subsequent encodes fail to encode as Megui deletes the unnecessary files after a successful encode from job1 leaving no audio file for the other jobs to processes.

2143 NeroAacEnc + DGIndexNV are now disabled by default as external dependencies are required.
In order to use them, they have to be enabled in "Options\Settings\External Program Configuration".
2142 fixed problems with Turkish characters (e.g. in the File Indexer)
2141 [OneClick] added some changes for the upcoming next release of the OneClick tool
2140 [Update] if a component is missing no jobs can be started
2139 [DGA/DGI Indexer] added job status message during processing

hi Zathor
Could you please have a look at this log.
I cannot index an mp4 file unless I disable audio.
I extracted the audio with yamb and when I ty to encode it, it gives this error:
It seems that no decoder for your file is available. What happens when you use the indexer?

I have sent you a pm about a file which megui fails to convert flac track to aac.
Please post the full log file also.

Thanks, I have added --ignore-chunk-sizes to the command line.

Hi, i am encoding wav file 24 bit depth but megui reports an error. I think that is because there isn´t option --no-warnings-as-errors
...
The wav files are created with adobe premiere.

I can confirm the problem with all 24 bits WAV file.
Work fine with 16 bits.
Is not a problem with sub-chunks.
Is not a problem with NicAudio (WavSource also don't work)
Is not a problem with flac parameters.

Tested with the same .avs and flac parameters with Wavi work fine and send this log (differences with MeGUI log in green, in red wavi messages):
flac 1.2.1, Copyright (C) 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007 Josh Coalson

WAV file written successfully.
-: INFO: hit EOF with --ignore-chunk-sizes, got 8507392 samples

Command line used:
wavi z.avs - | D:\Programa\megui\tools\flac\flac -f --ignore-chunk-sizes --channel-map=none -8 - -o z.flac

And z.avs:
LoadPlugin("D:\Programa\megui\tools\avisynth_plugin\NicAudio.dll")
RaWavSource("D:\Test_24b.wav")
AudioBits(last)>24?ConvertAudioTo16bit(last):last
return last

Edit: if add the --no-warnings-as-errors parameter to the command line the log is the same.
The ERRORLEVEL returned is always 0, with or without --no-warnings-as-errors

Zathor

So what to do? Add
AudioBits(last)>16?ConvertAudioTo16bit(last):last
for Flac encodings?

tebasuna51
7th May 2012, 00:29
Is not a solution.

Maybe the current MeGUI STDOUT is not compatible with flac STDIN.
Seems the transfer is not complete.

With BeHappy work fine using the same command line:
Starting job Test.wav->Test_bn.flac
Found Audio Stream
Channels=2, BitsPerSample=24 int, SampleRate=48000Hz

Is that maybe related to --ignore-chunk-sizes ?

Zathor
7th May 2012, 19:27
I think I found the differences between BeHappy and MeGUI. MeGUI is sending a WAV Header and BeHappy is encoding it as a RAW stream. I have changed that for a debug build - please test it an report back:
http://www.mediafire.com/?smam02q5aos1ydf

I also removed --ignore-chunk-sizes so please test your other problematic file as well.

I test with your fix and work fine. If encoding wav file using megui, CRC32 code is different to flac file created from the command line. I do not know if it is of interest to you.

http://www.mediafire.com/?smam02q5aos1ydf

I also removed --ignore-chunk-sizes so please test your other problematic file as well.

Yes work also here.
Of course sending raw data the --ignore-chunk-sizes, and --channel-map=none, is not needed.

And, yes, send raw data is the method I use by default with BeHappy. But work also sending wav header (is easy change the method without recompile, we only need change flac.extension).

Well, the different behaviour remain but we have a working solution.

Thanks Zathor.

Why there is no BlackmanResize resizer in Resize Filter list of AVS Script Creator?

The selection of resize filters might be limited to scaling functions provided by AviSynth 2.56; Blackman and Spline64 were introduced in 2.58, Sinc in 2.60.

Hi there, I have a problem adding audio to video in MeGUI.

The betting is that I am doing something wrong, or that my system is broken somewhere - but I wonder if you could help me zoom in on the error, please?

Problem: I can produce an MP4 file, but it has no sound.

I have used two methods:
- video from avs file* and audio from mp3
- video from avs and audio from avs file (sole line "return directshowsource("AileinDuinn4.2.mp3",audio=true)") as suggested in the Wiki (http://mewiki.project357.com/wiki/MeGUI/FAQ#How_do_I_import_audio.3F)

I am beginning to think this is me jinxing things...... surely it cannot be this difficult

*Script is now only:
video = BlankClip(length=300, width=640, height=480, pixel_type="RGB32", fps=24, fps_denominator=1, audio_rate=44100, stereo=False, sixteen_bit=True, color=$000000)
return video.Info().ConvertToYV12()

Version? MeGUI 2112 (svn)

Any help gratefully received,

thanks

To get an MP4 file containing both video and audio streams, you would:

add a job to convert the audio script (either a separate one or the same with the video), if you don't have already a format compatible with the MP4 container
add a job to convert the video script (either a separate one or the same with the audio)
add a job to multiplex the yet separate video stream and audio stream to a new, combined media file (Tools » Muxer › MP4 muxer [Ctrl+5])

You did not document if you executed the third step. More details about your workflow, please.
