hi, with 91 there is again the 1080 preview bug: width is fixed to the display width, but height is not. The result is that you can not access play/pause etc controls

Well I just redid the whole project...
Disk setting "1" Box to the right "1800"
Job finished with 1,181 .mkv files.
This is soo frustrating...What can I do to correct this/or prevent this from happening?
thanks
Here's my automkv.ini file...I don't see anything regarding "SPLIT"

you have asked automkv to do 1800 slice of 1 mb
it is the exact opposite!
write 1800 and 1

Managia a miseria...are you kidding me?
Man am I stupid or what!
I thought it meant 1 disk setting meaning 1 file and 1800MB file length.
I feel like such a papagalo!
Thanks and sorry to have wasted bandwidth.

that's strange!
audio fails even with mp3/ogg/CCT encoder ?
please try with 0.91 asap
BHH
Thanks BHH,
I'll try with 0.91, and if AAC doesn't work I'll try MP3 and Ogg. I'll post the outcome :-)

(AutoMKV 0.90c)
1. When we change the input file and the output folder is already set by a previous input file, the output folder is still the same. It would be nice to have the output folder automatically set/change to the same folder as the input file.
2. When we change container, the profile resets to 2_Pass_Balanced.xml. This is quite annoying if one first sets the profile.
3. I use the PSP.xml profile. Can the advanced audio setting (lang: eng, nero profile: LC & -CBR, freq: 48000) be stored somewhere?
4. In Advanced Settings TAB, when I click Save Configuration, it doesn't do anything. Then I click Load Configuration and it reset all my Basic Settings TAB.
5. After setting Advanced Audio settings and clicking OK, I go back into Advanced Audio settings and all the settings are reset. Am not sure whether it's been set or not.
6. When I close and restart AutoMKV, my Queued Job TAB retains my queue jobs but the other columns are blank.

@andrewwan1980
1) every time i change the input/output behavior someone dislike it. i have choosen to no more change how input/output folder are handled.. sorry
2) every container can support different audio and video profile, so i must reset configuration to be sure that some options will be disabled
3) whenever you change the advanced audio options the settings are momorized. BUT every time you open automkv or advanced audio options these settings are lost. This is not to change
4) The save configuration is to use for "custom profile". these profile are loadable only by "load configuration". these options are to be used for creating custom profiles like one for dvd, one for ps3, one for...
5) see 3
6) yes, i know. but working on queue is a pita.. sorry
thanks anyway for your suggestions! :)

Quick question: are there any plans to allow automated m4v output for x264/AAC encoding?
Or am I missing an easy way to do this?
TIA
buzzqw
2nd November 2007, 16:57
actually x264 output mp4 and audio if first encoded as aac and then muxed to mp4
any particular reason to output m4v ? (just not understending the question )

Sorry Buzz - got another question for you - I can now create mkv files - however i cannot get the subtitles to load. I have the CCCP pack downloaded installed - and when I view the movie using WMC i go down to haali media splitter and see that subtitles are set to show (and english) - when I ripped i chose "rip all subs" yet I can't find them....I can't load them in WMC either...any ideas?

analyze your mkv with avinaptic or gspot or mediainfo.. just to be sure that subs are present..
second: try playing with mediaplayer classic or videolan client

First of all, I'd like to thank you, Buzzqw, very much for this brilliant program and the unbelievable support you offer with it. The quality of encoding I get from this program leads people to believe I know more about this stuff than I actually do. :)
However, I have searched for info on two things that I can't find a decent answer to. Hopefully, you, or some of the veterans here, can help me.
1) I would like to know more about QMTrim and HG Avs but cannot find anything of substance written in English. Can you point me in the right direction if such a thing exist?
2) Is there a way to manipulate\preview the AVS script as you can in Megui? I'm not even sure how the "last line" option works but I would like to be able to mess with the entire script from top to bottom.
Thanks again.

:o ... all italian.. sorry both applications have been developed by italian encoders/programmers
on changelog there are the links to italian forum.. i suggest to use some online translator... also on digital expression forum you can write in english
both applications as you already know are "optimizer".
HGAvs base its algorithm on frame size, frame sequence. It is the oldest but is very very secure and "professional looking" :)
QMTrim base its algorithm on motion of frames (using mvtools). It's developed and manteined by digital expression moderators (hgavs is a ended project), it is more aggressive and "could" apply (in extreme situation) wrong filters (like inverting filters for static image with one of super fast image).
I must admit that i use QMtrim.. but i doubt anyone spot difference on qmtrim/hgavs (well... the people on Digital Expression forum can...)
The "gold" are the lvl scripts, hand made by the finest artists of ripping ;)

I have been using media player classic - I don't have an option to even select english subs. In VLC i opened it - there was an option for english subs but nothing was coming out (Note there were 2 different types to rip, i've tried individually as well as ripping all, have gotten nothing).
I used media info and this is what it came up with:

ops..here is http://www.64k.it/andres/data/a/WVC1_2_Pass_Fast.zip

Thank you very much sir :)
Is anyone using AutoMKV with Vista and not getting APPCRASH cscript error? VirtualdubMod also gets the APPCRASH error when I manually load the movie.avs which is located in the temp directory. I've been trying to find out what's causing it and I suspect it is either one of the filters or maybe something I might be missing.
I mainly do MKV to WVC1 encodes and don't use any filters. Filters and Resizers are set to none.
I guess I will continue to use AutoMKV in Windows XP since I get no problems in XP.

@SCSI
try removing from \exe\filter folder the ffmpegsource.dll (and don't use it in advanced options)

Buzzq,
I removed the ffmpegsource.dll, "Use FFmpegsource" not checked in advanced settings, FFmpeg encoding set to none, and I still get the same error. After I close the error, AutoMKV will continue and process the file. After it finishes the encoding, I only get 2-channel audio instead of 5.1 but video and audio are in sync.
Here is an example cmd window that comes up after the Appcrash error:
F:\HDRips\temp>"C:\Program Files\AutoMKV\exe\BeSweet\ffmpeg.exe" -i "F:\HDRips\M
atrix-Trailer-HD.mkv" -vcodec wmv1 -b 10735000 -s 1280x532 -acodec wmav2 -ac 2

12:33:11 BREAK ! FILE NOT SUPPORTED ! LAST TRY WITH FFMPEG!
the wmvcmd.vbs is unable, using the directshowfilters
movie = directshowsource("F:\HDRips\Matrix-Trailer-HD.mkv",fps=23.976044,convertfps=true,audio=false)
to process the encoding and so automkv will
12:33:11 Switched to FFmpeg for Video Encoding!
and so the encoding is done by ffmpeg THAT not support 5.1 wma audio.
try opening the movie.avs in virtualdub, any errors ?

VirtualDubMod crashes when I load movie.avs. Also tried VirtualDub 1.7.6 and I also get the Appcrash error. :(
Any idea why directshow is failing? I'm not sure what is missing in this Vista install that is present in Windows XP.

OK, I set <BQuantOffset>100</BQuantOffset> in XviD CQ mode but then I get an error in VirtualDub that says "Cannot open the "movie.avi": The system cannot find the file specified.
Here is the log file.
In the temp directory their is a file called movie.avs but not a file called movie.avi

Hi again, I would love the option to use MCBob or MVBob but when I use it in the deinterlace module I get a broken file. The only time I have been able to use Bobs was when I use them in a script in the input file and selected "none" as options in AutoMKV. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
