Sorry man, but it's just not working - I even tried it with MPC-BE and got the same result, and I re-downloaded sanear-bin-master-f7612c7-20160517 as a sanity check.

I wish there was something else I could do to debug the problem, but there must be some weird incompatibility we can't think of. Thanks for your help.

Sanear is a work in progress. It's functionality is incomplete and it likely has bugs.

Yes, I suggest wait for the next stable release and if the bug will be still present report it here and on github as well.

hi, is there a way to compile and get only a localization file (.dll) with only po files, without download whole source from repo? I wanna test translated string and look if they suit with the gui. thanks

edit:
maybe some corrections
/filter "filtername" Load DirectShow filters from a dynamic link ibrary (wildcards allowed) -> ibrary should be library
/fullscreen Start in full-screen mode -> full-screen should be fullscreen I guess (for consistency)

Yesterday I came across this. For me with MPC-HC not working, I see asio renderer in the settings in v. 236. http://surodev.com/products/asio-renderer/ , new bassasio dll http://www.un4seen.com/ , http://asio4all.com/ In BE works.

Wait, I know what the problem with Adio Switcher, him no ( Adio Switcher) in the list of registered filters in the Win. and I not add to the list external filters Adio Switcher, there is nothing to block. Only if I add (browse) him (Adio Switcher) to the list external filters and give him the priority block. External filters not registered in Win. is not possible to block, line blok the grey. Register in Win. AdioSwitcher.ax and blok, maybe, but I have not tried this. Register external filter AdioSwitcher.ax? , I don't like this variant.

I see Audio Switcher in MPC in filters when play files. In player not HC works with Audio Switcher, but only this variant. No matter what decoders used.

ffdshow adio processor (Otput -> Conect to: any filter. For ASIO Renderer) not necessarily use for works ASIO Renderer.

I mean go to Options -> Internal Filters -> Audio Switcher, uncheck "Enable built-in audio switcher filter", then OK.

there's another ASIO renderer if you interested : Multichannel ASIO DirectShow Renderer (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Plugins/Multichannel-ASIO-DirectShow-Renderer.shtml)

Understood, with English interface in HC. Options -> Internal Filters -> Audio Switcher, uncheck "Enable built-in audio switcher filter" Yes, asio renderer works with asio4all.

There is really zero reason to use ASIO if all you use it for is with ASIO4ALL, just use WASAPI Exclusive and be done with it, there is no advantage in adding two more layers of abstraction in between

Only reason ever to use ASIO is with an audio device that has proper ASIO drivers.

3421
22nd June 2016, 17:18
I'm not going to debate why I use ASIO4all. The people themselves decide what they want to use wasapi or asio. I not seen what is Wasapi in Win. above XP, but I suspect, what this (wasapi), not what me need. http://tippach.business.t-online.de/asio4all/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1189&sid=e78533482657d55123e9e2d24dbc74d0

I went back a bit, and the last nightly to work with those files was the 1.7.10.130 build.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks!

For the life of me, I have tried everything that I can figure out in MPC-HC to enable playing my videos back at an faster playback speed.

No matter what I try in any of the Options settings, nothing works.

When I open a video in VLC or WMP, the option is quite evident and the videos DO play at the increased speed that I tell it to.

Can anyone here please help me, I've search the internet for a solution to this problem, and cannot find one??

The reason that I am interested in this is because of this article::

"I have found a new way to watch TV, and it changes everything"

So I wonder if you are using a hardware decoder which limits its output to the framerate on its own, or have additional DirectShow filters for framerate stabilization (like ReClock) installed.

At least I assume that you are trying to use Ctrl+Up/Down to change the tempo?

As far as using a hardware decoder that has limits, don't think so - I use Shark007 codecs, and whatever THEY are, obviously my codecs are not interfering with VLC and WMP being able to increase playback speed.

As far as the way I have tried to implement the speed increase, I have tried the following (to no avail)::

1. Menu "Play" -> "Increase Rate"
2. Button "Increase Speed" on the control tool bar
3. Shortcut "Ctrl Up"

MPC-HC seems always play SWF files with small window, not sure since when exactly. I also just tested with v1.7.9 that I have, it play with bigger window but doesn't seem with the file's resolution. (a clip (www.flickspire.com/_videos/flash/LILC/LILC.swf) if you don't have it)

LigH

AFAIR, MPC-HC requires the MS IE Flash plugin installed to be able to play SWF; I guess there may be some API details MPC-HC doesn't handle correctly. But SWF is not a "movie" format, specifically, rather a container for interactive content programmed with ActionScript (which might contain FLV video, but doesn't have to).

I prefer the Swiff Player (http://www.globfx.com/products/swfplayer/) for SWF instead, especially for interactive vector drawing games.

Changed the audio renderer to Direct Sound, and that did INDEED do the trick. I can change the speed rate using Playback/Speed Step.

Will be fixed in today nightly. I've missed one flag in ffmpeg build script. Apparently -ftree-vectorize is no go when mixing gcc and msvc generated code.

Only x86 build was affected.

After some check, I realize that OSD only detect and support font with TrueType Outlines, but not with PostScript Outlines. For subtitle, both are just fine. I don't much the difference between them. Is it something that can be fixed?

A feature request.....

Currently the skip function can be used to jump directly to playing the next file in a folder. The "After Playback/Play Next File In Folder" setting provides the same function automatically. However "next file in folder" means any file type supported by MPC-HC. I think it'd be a little more practical to have those functions only apply to associated file types, not all supported file types.

I don't know if many people use MPC-HC as an audio-only player, but I suspect not. I know I don't. About the only time I use MPC-HC to play audio files is when I specifically open one with it for some reason (ie testing), so when skipping from one file to the next I'd prefer MPC-HC to only skip between the video files, or in my case the associated file types.

MPC-HC has the ability to auto-load an "external" audio file. Therefore it effectively treats the video and external audio as a single file. Unless you're using the "play next file in folder" option. It'll play the video file, then skip to the next file in the folder, which will possibly be the external audio. That would rarely be desirable.... I assume.

Thanks.

Will there be a new official release soon? The previous version 1.7.10 from Nov 2015 doesn't have the latest LAV Filters with VP9 DXVA2 hardware decoding support and new Nvidia Pascal GPUs support VP9 hardware decoding now.

A new official release is really needed, over 6 months now without a new release and there's many improvements in LAV Filters since then.

If I framestep in fullscreen (with vanilla EVR) using the button on the toolbar, then the video behind the toolbar sometimes gets corrupted (the last line of pixels above the toolbar gets repeated).

Is there still a request for this? Has it been implemented yet?

A while back in the old thread someone asked this question and one of the responses was:

"I can't speak for anyone else, but imho, mpc-hc is a movie player, not a music player. I'm sure there are mp3 players that can properly play those gapless."

However, it's called MEDIA player classic, not MOVIE player classic and I used to use winamp exclusively but since it's no longer being developed and after trying about 20 other media players I found that MPC has by far the best feature set and customizable options.

As far as the way winamp does it, it looks as though they just load a certain amount of the next track into the buffer which you can set.

Any thoughts?
