@Sebastii : there is something I really don't understand with your logs
TMT logs are fine and match with the uploaded sample but neither FFDShow+ATI or FFDShow+Xonar logs.
I can't find any piece of buffer from the sample.
Could you recheck ?
However, the logs you sent me before I posted the last FFDShow fix (rev 3201) on THD were fine (except that the buffers were not aligned)
Thanks

Also it runs in exclusive mode, even when there's no bitstream-able audio (like flac), which doesn't work with 24-bit sources.
I guess you are using madFlac Decoder. ffdshow (32-bit output for ATI+Realtek) + MPC Audio Renderer is an all-in-one audio solution: TrueHD/DTS-HD/DD/DTS bistreaming and bit-perfect LPCM for all the other audio formats.

Here is a new build (http://www.mediafire.com/file/xjgimzmgzdq/ffdshow_rev3212_20100122_dbt_bitstream_fix_beta1.exe)
No fix but a new audio delay option in the output section
It works fine in analog mode, to be tested in numeric mode (SPDIF/HDMI), especially with TrueHD streams
PS : this build contains development code on DXVA side. It should be used only for testing purpose

On-going bitstream problems here with my 5670.
Tried the EDID Tulli override, but it does not solve my bitstream problems. An additional problem with the Tulli override was that @50 Hz my ATI settings could not be set to 1920@1080 but only a lower resolution was possible.
So last night I did a complete format of my HDD and a fresh Windows7 x64 installatiob to MAKE SURE everything is set up properly.
So I installed everything again:
- ATI official 5670 RC3 package
- Realtek R2.39 HDMI audio driver
- latest ffsdhow svn3212 (checked all the bitstream boxes)
- latest MPC-HC svn1540
- checked the properties of the playback devices and all audio formats are shown there inclusing DTS-HD
- checked my ATI settings and my Marantz AV8003 is shown
- checked the box MPEG/TS in the internal filters of MPC-HC
- installed the aug. 2009 DirectX update
When playing a .m2ts movie with DTS-MA signal it plays DTS (so NOT master!) fine when all bitstream boxes are checked EXCEPT DTS-MA. But when I exit the movie, CHECK the DTS-MA bitstream box and restart the movie, it goes wrong => no DTS-MA, no sound. Checking the box connect as PCM looks like it makes it a little better but still not good enough => DTS-MA is displayed on my avr but constant switches between AUTO (no signal) on my avr. Also no sound.

Hi Damien,
Very wierd !!! because the size of log is something same.
Maybe it's the audio renderer Arcsoft because it's with it that i use with MPC-HC.
Very strange, i'll make this evening a little log to see if it's bad or not (not all the sample lol).
Big Thx :)

You'll have to convert it to an ISO. Use tsMuxer to author a BD folder structure, and ImgBurn to create an ISO from that. Then mount it with Virtual CloneDrive. I think testing with WinDVD or PDVD is very important at this point given the issues you're having.

OK thanks, that makes sense, I'll try. I thought I read albain saying something to the effect that higher-than-16 bits was still not supported with MPC renderer though (and the whole LPCM "bitstreaming" issue being low priority for now).

which version did you install where it works? (dts-ma). Did you use the .inf override method also or not?
Problem with rev3200
ok with rev3160 (but not true hd)

And can I theoretically make all my content (.m2ts, .mkv, .wmv) compatible for PDVD with this (tsMuxer/Imageburn/VCD) method?

Hi, i think the bad log is because Arcsoft Renderer was wrong register.
I reregister it and now like directsoound or other it crash when try to log MPC-HC and Dumptool.
So i don't know why :(

Hi,
Great for delay on Bitstream :) It works good on all my test for now :) Big Thx :)
I have retested log, and with ffdshow + Arcsoft for Xonar -> don't crash. But with ATI mode (it's crash and also on Beta 54 with registry Clean) i think something happen on Drivers.

Actually I just tested, and I had not remembered that I haven't even installed madflac. flac is being decoded with ffdshow.
I'm using MPC-HC 1453 and ffdshow 3181, and MPC audio renderer only connects for LPCM when outputting 16-bit. Was this fixed in subsequent releases?
(BTW I was wrong about having to disable audio switcher, my mistake.)

Just in case you missed it Albain, but test builds aftger "beta5" are broken for DTS-MA (at least for my xonar setup). I get no sound for DTS-MA tracks.
Using the Beta5 build I was able to play "Terminator Salvation" with DTS-MA ok, but did have some issues. This title is one that is comprised of multiple M2TS files played back seamlessly via MPC.
For this title and Beta5, I had two issues: jumping back would cause audio to be lost until I jumped forward; audio would get out-of-sync with the video often, I believe on the M2TS transitions (from file to file). More testing is needed.

Although I still don't have an amplifier capable of decoding HD sound formats, I intend to buy one in the near future.
So, I would like to thank albain, madshi, samuriHL, Sebastii and all the rest for all the great work you have done.
Keep making us happy. I believe you can overcome any obstacle that you will encounter.

I have issues with DTS-HD MA too, on not the latest beta, but the one previous. This one:
ffdshow_rev3200_20100112_dbt_thd_fix_beta1
It seems that the DTS-HD tracks play faster than the movie, so they're garbled & messy sounding, as well as cutting out. The receiver is getting a DTS-HD MA signal though.
Any thoughts? Logs needed I assume?

Is it possible the changes have broken passthrough of the dts core in dts HD streams? I don't get any sound on those files since upgrading to a recent version of ffdshow?
I'm using a Radeon 4850 and want to have dts core bitstreaming until my 5850 arrives (orderer 2.5 months ago)

There is just a check that has been added since which is "if it is not a bitstream format, don't check the audio device capabilities".
So if there is a drawback, it is probably located in the first phase where the stream is detected as DTS
Could you send me debugview logs on both rev 3195 and 3200 ?
This would help me a lot to understand what's going wrong (I can't test on my side, receiver on repair)
Thanks
@PatkIllA
The revision 3200 (and higher) that brings a better compatibility with DTS and AC3 core might have broken DTS-HD bitstream.
Please test it or help me like Skinleech to narrow down which revision works/doesn't work : revision 3200 first, then revision 3195
Thanks
Otherwise this morning I am working on Seb's logs, the goal is : fixing TrueHD bitstream definitely

I have installed several builds from sourceforge now.
3154 still works both with decoding to pcm and passthrough of the core.
3164 is already broken. I don't get any sound when set to passthrough and when decoding to pcm the video is about twice as fast and the sound is pitched.
