C'est vrai?

Damn, dude! Nice first post!!!! :)

You're right my friend !!!

I updated my little program and this formula works for every buffers !

Thank you so much!!

Does this mean you can fix it in ffdshow with that revelation? That was most impressive! :)

albain

I can do better than that

Here is a new updated build (http://damienbt.free.fr/ffdshow_rev3181_20100104_dbt_dxva_beta5.exe)

Please tell me about it

Merci BSAlita !
(you work for Arcsoft and have the code in front your eyes ;-) ?)

LOL! :) I'm on it. Give me about 2 minutes.

SamuriHL
6th January 2010, 20:44
Unfortunately, no, that didn't work. I get no connection to the receiver now.

The problem was obscured by displaying the list in decimal. In hex the formula is obvious.

What is the dwChannelMask 255??

I have been too quick. I forgot to remove the 12 extrabytez

Holy ****! Hey, Seb...your DTS-HD HR file works now and shows HR on my receiver. :)

SamuriHL
6th January 2010, 22:10
So it looks like the only thing not working right now besides EAC3 (not an ffdshow problem) is TrueHD 2.0 channel. This is AWESOME!

TrueHD 2.0 Works here just shows stereo and when you status on you pio you will see TrueHD :) but 2.0

Not for me with the sample someone in this thread provided. I get no audio at all. However, it does play in PDVD9 so I know it's not the sample file. But that's now the only thing that doesn't match what PDVD9 gives me. This is so awesome.

Same sample of a old guy talking at a table plays perfect on my 1019 :)

SamuriHL

Yea, that'd be the one. I can't get it to play for me. Interesting.

SamuriHL

Wait, what audio renderer are you using? Maybe that's the difference.

what do you have on put for me all checked pass-through spidf

connect as: DirectSound

strange.

SamuriHL
6th January 2010, 22:20
Yea, that's the issue. I change it to Realtek HDMI audio renderer and now it plays fine. I'll have to trap the logs to see what the difference is between that and the Default DirectShow renderer I like to use.

TrueHD 2.0 "Being.There.1979.sample.m2ts"

Realtek HDMI audio renderer (working): http://pastebin.com/pastebin.php?dl=m7b125da4
Default DirectSound audio renderer (non-working): http://pastebin.com/pastebin.php?dl=m56c5a1f6

Maybe that stands out, I don't know.

Et voilą !

Good evening guys

Time to watch a movie for me...

I'm stuck at work right now but I can't wait to get home tonight and try this!!! This is exciting to be on the cutting edge of open source bit streaming.

Thanks for all the work!!

I get DTSHD-MA without audio dropouts when video decoder selected in DXVA mode. (default direct sound and Mpc Audio Renderer)
Video software mode still doesn't work and gives worse dropouts with this build.

Yes, that's still AMD's drivers which are faulty

SamuriHL
6th January 2010, 23:34
albain, any thoughts on the renderer thing with TrueHD 2.0? No big deal if not, as we can get everything to work with other renderers. I've tested a crapload of stuff now and it ALL works flawlessly with my Pio. So, job well done!!

But i never understand how WinDVD 2010 works in SW mode too with the same drivers? (PDVD9 can't)

I should correct my mistake:
WinDVD Pro 2010 can be set to SW mode (video) as well and no problem in SW mode too while PDVD9 would be never set to SW mode.

IMO the comparison must be made between ffdshow and wDVD so as to check what is happening?

Any opinion on reg hack of WinDVD to connect to remote graph?

BTW i can reach the DS chain of PDVD9 while i can't do it on WinDVD, any ideas? (DirectShow Filter Graph Spy has been used btw.)

And i can scan the backstage of Arcsoft TMT -even it gives core dts or ac3 with an Ati btw-

Hi, i have not reconnect ATI to AVR but i'm with Xonar, and for now my avr detect again DTS-MA for sample HR with ffdshow.
I am tring TMT just now and DTS-MA 5.1.

I'm crasy lol.

I just put ATI -> AVR and make test,
Bitstream it works with Arcsoft Renderer and ATI HDMI OUTPUT.
In .m2ts and HW Dxva
THD 7.1 -> OK
DTS-MA 7.1 -> OK
DTS-HR 7.1 -> DTS-MA 5.1
THD 2.0 -> NOK

In MKV :
DTS-MA 7.1 -> OK but the video is slow (it slow on all other test that i made) maybe that comes from my sample and i don't have other to confirm this.

I confirm too that THD 2.0 work with ATI HDMI OUT only.

I don't understand why DTS-HR don't working even with TMT and information on screen say me DTS-HR HDMI Passthroup.

I try with PDVD to see what happen.
EDIT : DTS-HR 7.1 is good with PDVD.

I'm comes crasy boy lol

Thx :)
Seb.

Likely because WinDVD doesn't seem to be using directshow. For instance, I can't connect to WinDVD's graph when playing anything. So, I don't think that's a good test.

Great news to wake up to. Thanks all!

BTW, the dropout issue in SW mode also happens with DTS-HD MA? It's not only DD/DTS? Cause I briefly tried a flac mkv and it didn't seem to happen.

I get the DTS-HD HR in 7.1 with my ATI using the Realtek HDMI audio renderer. (Works with Default DirectSound, too, actually) I can try on the Xonar later and see what I get there.

Yea, that's what I'm thinking, anyway. So I don't think WinDVD is a good test. I'm not sure about TMT3 and whether it can be turned off there.

I'm not 100% sure what you guys are talking about, but with DVDs and WinDVD 2010, I do get dropouts with software mode.

So the only hope ArcSoft will implement the new patch of TMT3 in DS stuff to compare?

Close Encounters, Hitman, Angels Demons...
Open WDVD ( without any disc) and setup video to SW mode and restart it and play BD.

WinDVD does use DirectShow when playing SD DVDs, just not for Blu-rays.
