The only thing worse than a virus that makes your computer impossible to use is an antivirus package that makes your computer impossible to use.

I wonder what might have changed regarding the (false) virus indication? There was no such indication regarding the same zip file downloaded from the ftp yesterday...

What does this feature means?

Feature: Tags for SRT subtitles support - tags for changing font, color, size, etc.; tag's syntax is similar to HTML;

Anyone knows what this feature can do?

deank
11th March 2009, 22:23
it means that you can use font, color and size in SRT subtitles and have a subtitle line with mixed fonts, colors and sizes... In other words you can have a single subtitle to have several colors/font sizes/fonts. You can experiment with these options in Subtitle Workshop.

<font color="#000000">black text</font>
<font face="Arial">text using Arial font</font>
<font size="12">text using size 12</font>

I'd suggest avoiding such tags. And... they are no longer supported in latest HTML standards.

Hi there, i have a question about TSmuxer and Dolby True-HD. On the homepage of TSmuxer i saw this.

Supported audiocodecs:

* AAC;
* AC3 / E-AC3(DD+);
* Dolby True HD (for streams with AC3 core only);
etc.

What's the meaning of "Dolby True HD (for streams with AC3 core only)" Does it mean that it will play only the core ? Or does the True HD track needs an AC3 core and then the musing of True-HD works well. I've tried some to play on my HDX1000 and Onkyo 605 and all the times it displays "True-HD" on the display of my Onkyo. So i assume that the tracks works fine or can it still be only the core. I hope someone knows the answer.

TIA !

It means pretty much what it says. It'll mux the entire TrueHD+AC3 track, as long as there is an interleaved AC3 track (it's not strictly a core). Every Blu-ray TrueHD track should be compliant, only HD DVD has bare TrueHD tracks and need to be converted for tsMuxeR to recognise them.

If your receiver says TrueHD, you're getting TrueHD. If you were picking up the AC3 track only, it would say Dolby Digital or similar. AFAIK none of the NMTs can actually get at the interleaved AC3 track, which is a bit annoying as it turns out, so it's TrueHD or nothing.

I've just received a test version (1.8.25) via email from smlabs asking me to check the .m2ts filesize in .clpi issue and I can confirm it is now fixed. I guess 1.8.25 should appear on the smlabs homepage very soon. For those not following the issue, this will fix the pauses at split points when you enable splitting in your BluRay Disc output from TSMuxer. This also means I can remove the hex pathcing from AVCHDMe and get it back it being just a simple renaming tool.

What about the COARSE/FINE tables of the CLPI?

idbirch2

I have no idea how to check those but they supplied the new version within a couple of hours of me mailing them so I doubt the update fixes anything else. If you can point me at a post/thread that details the exact issue i.e. what hex edits are required, I can reply to this mail I got from them asking them to take a look.

Does anybody know if tsmuxer people (smartlabs) are working on the VC-1 problem with Panasonic players.

For anybody that doesn’t know about this, the latest players from Panasonic the BD35 and BD55 are very strict on Blu Ray structure.

If you copy a VC-1 encoded disc in its entirety just by having AnyDVDHD running and using explorer to get the files to Hard Drive and then burn them with ImgBurn all is ok. (provided it is of a length that will fit on single layer Disc)

BUT

If you use tsmuxer to say copy Movie only, then the resulting files will not play on these players, this is confirmed by all Panasonic users.

Its not just tsmuxer, tsRemuxer also fails to play. People with access to Scenarist have been able to make compliant Movie only VC-1 discs but as you know this program is thousands of pounds/dollars.

As I have said above, this only affects VC-1 original material, H264 seems to be ok. I do NOT want to re-encode to H264 for all the obvious reasons.

Anybody help

I can confirm that the COARSE/FINE tables appear to be alright now with a standard one-part mux. I'm testing with split output now.

[Edit] I can also confirm the COARSE/FINE tables are good on split output.

I can now remove FixCLPI.EXE from the face of the planet. It has no purpose!

Also the bug dealing with not being able to detect the format of AC3 steams which changed their channel allocation within the first couple frames has been fixed somewhere along the new development lines.

The only thing I notice now, is as someone else pointed out, there's no icon contained in the tsMuxerGUI.exe file. Not really a bug, just an oversight.

the latest version I had of tsMuxeR may have been remuxing mkv to .ts that ultimately did not play on the pch. i dont know if it was a new pch fw but .ts was always super stable and worked 100% on the pch so I fear it may have been the version of tsMuxeR i was using.

is there a new full version now with gui so you dont just have to get the file and then apply it to your old stuff or whatever you had to do before the new release was official?

well i've tried every version from 1.8.4 to 1.8.26 except 1.8.25. if that makes it any clearer.

I can now remove FixCLPI.EXE from the face of the planet. It has no purpose!

I'm going to keep on using it, there is no harm to have proof that it's not needed every time.

Also one chap over on the Slysoft forum is saying that DTS-MA output from tsMuxeR is broken. He says that if you use tsMuxeR again (why ?) on a already tsMuxeRed DTS-MA stream then it's not recognised.

I assume that tsMuxeR will never be able to handle audio overlaps in it's 1 pass archictecture ?

Also the bug dealing with not being able to detect the format of AC3 steams which changed their channel allocation within the first couple frames has been fixed somewhere along the new development lines.Not that I can tell. I just tested this on a 720p MKV which has exactly that problem (2ch AC3 for about 600ms and then 5.1) and TSMuxer still throws the same error it always has. Chopping 1s off the start of the MKv fixed it as always.

Hi there, i have a question about TSmuxer and Dolby True-HD. On the homepage of TSmuxer i saw this.

Supported audiocodecs:

* AAC;
* AC3 / E-AC3(DD+);
* Dolby True HD (for streams with AC3 core only);

TIA !

Blackadder

If your Onkyo shows TrueHD then you're good. Blu-ray TrueHD streams have an AC3 "core" embedded, HDDVD TrueHD streams do not... thus incompatibility with certain TrueHD tracks. However, incompatible HDDVD tracks can be demuxed using eac3to for tsMuxeR/BD compatibility.

Hmmm, I only had one file still around which had that problem before, but it works now. Maybe not all cases have been fixed.

I wonder if they'd want a sample AC3 file which is detected properly by other programs, but still not in tsMuxer?
