is it official that the 2.40 support 5.1 profile ?
Well every file I've put through TsMuxer since 2.40 hasn't needed the profile changed at all, plus every 1080p file has worked aswell ( No black screens, but I could have got lucky with those :) ).

I agree, I may have to remux the audio, perhaps the audio bitrate is too high. The Maximum video bitrate for Blueray is 40000 kbps. I know for sure that the error is not because the profile high is 5.1. I have inserted a different video file with a profile high of 5.1, audio bitrate of 384kbps and there were no errors.
The 448 Kb/s is the standard bitrate for 5.1 ac3 and must be accepted always. The max ac3 bitrate is 640 Kb/s.
To fix a corrupted ac3 you can use DelayCut.

I created a very simple BD, put it on DVD+R DL and tested it on the PS3. It looks OK, but at the end it jumps back to the beginning.
Basically, everything is playing in a loop. It goes through the whole movie, and at the end it starts playing again. This is unusual and it's not what I want.
Is there a way to create a BD that plays the movie only once, then stops?

This depends on the source disc. If after you remove all the extras and unwanted audio and the main movie+audio are <25gb then yes. tsMuxeR does not do any re-encoding so you will have to use another tool (x264,(W)VC-1) to 'shrink' the video or just get a BD-RE 50 disc and don't worry about it.

Does anybody know what the benefits would be to load the MPLS playlist from the BD structure rather than the atcual m2ts file. What type of information does the MPLS file hold? I opened one and it was as if I opened the m2ts file.
Main features:
Automatic or manual fps adjustment while mixing
Level changing as well as SEI, SPS/PPS elements and NAL unit delimiter cycle insertion while mixing H.264
Audio tracks and subtitles time shifting;
Ability to extract DTS core from DTS-HD;
Ability to extract AC3 core from True-HD;
Ability to join files;
Ability to adjust fps for subtitles;
Ability to convert LPCM streams into WAVE and vice versa;
Track language information injection into blu-ray structure and TS header.
Ability to cut source files
Ability to split output file
Ability to detect audio delay for TS/M2TS/MPG/VOB/EVO sources
Ability to remove pulldown info from stream
Ability to open Blu-ray playlist (MPLS) files
Ability to convert SRT subtitles to PGS
Thanks, O!

If it's a seamless branching title, it'll join the multiple m2ts files for you automagically. Otherwise, if it's a single m2ts, there's no difference.

SamuriHL and magnop,
Thanks guys, great information. Sweet about the chapter info, there's only one movie that I've come across that had more than one m2ts for the main movie... I might revisit that one just to see how well it goes.
Thanks again.

Yea, I forgot about the chapter info. I always open the mpls anyway as it just becomes part of the routine for me. There's no harm in opening it vs the m2ts, so, have at it. :)

@Roman...
I don't know if you look in the forum or support the software anymore, but TSMUXER crashes with 00000.m2ts on the German version of Gone Baby Gone. I suspect it's because of the LPCM track. eac3to can demux OK, so it's not a show stopper - but your software is my 1st choice for getting the job I need done fastest (producing 1 video & 1 language m2ts files on the fly).
Thanks. Mike.

Hello, Ive remuxed 2 blu rays with tsmuxer into blu ray movie only (so i married an axe murderer & i am legend) both contain dolby true hd then imaged & burned with imgburn, now heres my problem both blu rays play fine in power dvd with sound but when i play these on my ps3 theres no sound, both originals play with sound in the ps3, im wondering if any one can help me with this problem as its probably just a flag missing or something, i cant see anything wrong with the structure in bdedit.
Thanks

Sorry should have gave a little more info, they contains true hd i dont want to downconvert although i tried this as an experiment & the downsample to ac3 works flawlessly plays sound in the ps3, but i want to keep the truehd track intact im just baffled as why ive got no sound, i dont have any trouble with any other sound format DTS-HD-MA i have no trouble at all with.

OK, well I don't think TrueHD muxing works in tsMuxer. AFAIK, the only (free) way to mux TrueHD is by using tsRemux. I have a small clip that I used to test and it plays OK using Theatre Studio on the PC. I'm waiting for delivery of a HDD and external case to try it as an AVCHD on the PS3.

OK, So i run the blue ray through tsmuxer and no truehd sound for playback on ps3 but it works in power dvd, i then run tsmuxers output through tsremux & all plays ok in ps3, so its only a small problem in tsmuxers output thats corrected when run through tsremux, i wish i knew what it was so that maybe i could correct it maybe with bdedit without using tsremux.
Thanks

If you're burning, then that answers my question. I wondered if you were playing from hard drive. I have only just started using the Bluray/AVCHD output from tsMuxer and am still finding out what works with the PS3. However, I am using AVCHD format from hard drive.

I used TsMuxeR to make a BluRay Structure from my 720x576 interlaced (4:3) PAL M2TS files.
Basically this worked fine. I was able to update the index file and burn this to a DVD as a AVCHD.
The PS3 plays those moves, but scales them to 16:9. I assume this is related to my configuration (PS3 and Projector).
Because I remember when I had a digital set-top-box connected, everything was scaled to 16:9.
Although playing the M2TS files directly from a memory stick keeps the aspect ratio. Bdedit shows PID 1011, Stream Type: AVC, Details 576p, 25, 4:3.
But this is not my main concern.
What I miss is an option to add several M2TS files to one disc. And yes, I know the "Append" feature.
But this one makes one large movie. I want to keep several movies on one disk. I don't need any menu, just a "skip
to next movie" would be sufficient.
--> Is this somehow possible using TsMuxeR?

Can someone explain what the purpose of the meta file is? I'm trying to convert a mkv with h264 and AC3 to blue-ray format. The output file is set to the name of the movie. Inside this folder I get the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folder, but outside of the movie folder I see a meta file. Also, has anyone experienced no playback using PowerDVD. The movie progresses but I get just a black screen. However I am able to play the m2ts file using MPC-HC. Unfortunately I don't yet have a blue-ray player to test the burnt disc. Thanks.

This is very inconvenient issue we got with TsMuxer. I use this trick to solve it:
1. Create blu-ray structure with TsMuxer.
2. Pass m2ts file from "stream" folder to TsRemux to create new blu-ray.
3. Use this new "stream" folder from TsRemux result, and all other files from TsMuxer result. This saves languages and subtitles descriptions and chapters information.

TsMuxerGUI stores muxing parameters in this file to pass to TsMuxer console application. ".Meta" file is no more needed after muxing process.

tsMuxeR doesn't do any shrinking of video or audio. If after removing all unwanted Video/Audio streams from your main M2TS file leaves you with a >25GB file then you will have to use other tools (x264/(W)VC-1/eac3to) to shrink/compress either the Audio/Video streams to fit on a BD-R/RE 25.

Re-encoding a BD into a single-layer DVD is not a good idea to me.
As EPiPH0NE says you will get a 25 GB file after removing unwanted audio and sub files. It means 1/6 compression. (approximately you will need a 4GB file for DVD)
I would suggest two methods:
Use a double-layer DVD and this time compression will be 1/3 (use Megui),
or
Split the main ts or m2ts by two with TSMuxer and recompress them by Megui and write the recompressed files on two single -layer disks.
(compression will be 1/3 again)

It adds nothing over your m2ts file since it adds only empty folders which is needed for media recognized as BD.
Finally; if you have a 25GB m2ts file, you gonna get 25 GB BD disk.
In your case if you have a 4 GB m2ts file, after creating a BD disk with TS muxer, the lenght of BD will be 4 GB...

Hmmmm...Well it depends...he has an MKV file which I am guessing has x264+AC3/DTS and if it's already 4.37GB then muxing to M2TS will add a few bytes for the conatiner pushing it over the DVD-R size limit. I could be wrong..I'm kninda buzzed......

Why don't you drop some of your mkv files in tsmuxer and check out how much they grow, it will probably get bigger with a fairly consistent growth pct.

OK; i just tried to make BD from a mkv (h264)
Original was 390 MB, created m2ts has been 410 Mb ; means ten percent increased.
So it might be told that re-encoding to a 3.5 GB m2ts file will be safe enough for burning a DVD.

Your increase appears to be a 4.9% increase (390->410) and the conversion that I just ran came out to a 5.1% increase (74.5->78.5). I don't know if the results are linear but when I get home I'll have to test a larger file.

The size increase has to do with the size of the source file, the larger you get the more room you'll need.
For a DVD9, the header space for m2ts/blu-ray muxing is 570mb. For a DVD5 it is 313mb. For a BD25 you're looking at just over 1GB.

while removing pulldown from MPEG2 video stream (30fps) it must be also flagged as progressive. Else with created blu-ray output we got blu-ray with incompatible video stream (progressive 24 fps not marked as progressive) and stuttering playback on PS3 (and possibly all others stand alone br players).

I use this formula:
Taget size
---------- x 100 == "max size" before muxing into BR/AVCHD
110
Then before encoding do:
Max size -/- (size audio + size subs) = max size for video. Give that number to the bitratecalculator (in Megui).

Have you tried using "Auto Encode"? Using this feature MeGUI will calculate the video bitrate to acheive the "max size".

Yes but muxing into BR / M2TS requires approx 10% overhead, hence the pre-calculation ;)

You only need 7% of a DVD9 (8152mb) reserved for the m2ts header, which comes to 570mb.

My best format to fit on a DVD is to get the audio down at least 300mb. Usually if I have a 640kb 6 channel I will convert 224kb 6 channel. Then TSmuxeR converts that close to 4.37gb. The video I never touch.
That's if the MKV you have is 4.37gb to begin with.
