I think what problem with black lines does not appear on my PC because your windows uses more colors for text antialiasing.
Please, try new version:
www.smlabs.net/tsMuxer/tsMuxeR_1.8.3(b).zip
A bit better, now the lines only go from letter to letter. And stay whithin the confines of the subtitles and not all the way to the right of the screen.

When you use this method, do the subtitles look too big?
Adjust the font size under the subtitle tab when you first open the mkv and srt.
As B4tm4n say I adjust the font and position of subtitles
I use this settings for 720p videos:
http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/6527/valoressubstsmuxerrefintf7.jpg
When I can, I try the 1.8.3 Version.. without supread step.

Your telling it to start encoding at 30 secs and end at 60 secs, in total 30 secs of encoding.
You need to give the end time as 30 sec minus the total seconds of the movie.

I might have been premature in saying the subs where working on the PS3. I think the file with subs working was run through tsMuxer twice, first time as srt subs ( not working ) then the second time as the m2ts file with pgs graphics ( which worked ).

@Roman
I just started from scratch with 1.8.3.
First srt with video and no subs, then I put the m2ts from that folder through tsMuxer again and I've got perfect subs.
No black lines going off in any direction, just need to find the optimal offset from the bottom of my screen.
Thanks alot, again, for your hard work.

I have been working on this for quite some time now, and the process has been hit and miss. The title that I am currently stumped on is Walk Hard. My goal is to join the multiple .m2ts files together so they will stream to my PS3 or Tvix 6500. At this point the audio goes out of sync around 20 minutes in. I joined the files with tssplitter first and then ran them through tsmuxer (didn't work), and then ran the joined file through tsmuxer again and it didn't work. I have also tried a combination with tsmuxer and tsremux and nothing seems to work. I have seen that some have gotten this title to work on the PC, but has anyone been able to stream it successfully to the PS3 or other media extender such as the Tvix 6500. Thanks in advance.

@ maya: load the first m2ts into tsmuxer and append the rest. should work (at least for popcorn hour).
Titles I've tried succesfully: pirates 3, kingdom of heaven, departed, starhsip troopers, resident evil and some more which I can't remember right now :D
some are h264, some are vc1. no problems so far...

It is much easier to load the playlist. .mlps 00001 for the theatrical version or .mlps 00002 for the unrated version.:)
I have made a working backup on a BD-R disc that plays in my Panasonic BD30.
You will have to downconvert True-HD to AC3, which sucks, but apparently subtitles are more important than having the audio working first.

The titles that you listed don't use seamless branching-the main movie file is just one big .m2ts file. I have been able to strem all of these to my PS3 or Tvix. What I am referring to is joining many small .m2ts files together to produce one large .m2ts file which is the main movie. Some titles are: Ratatouille, Close Encounters, Meet the Robinsons, Waiting. I was able to join the files together for Enchanted and The Simpsons and strem them successfully, but Walk Hard has the audio sync problem after about 20 minutes. Close Encounters would work, but occassionally it would start to stutter on the PS3 and I would just hit stop and then hit play and it would sync up again. Like I said, this process I have been using is hit and miss at the moment and it would be great if someone could tell me how to get these stremless branching titles into one successfully streamabe file.

@Maya...
Please see my post on page 41. Try this:
Demux streams you want with tsmuxer/evodemux
Use VC1CONV/H264INFO on the video stream
Remux video & audio with tsmuxer
Try it. It worked for me on Cars (28 files)

Did you try opening the playlist in tsMuxer?
This will automatically open all related .m2ts files and treat them as one file.

I posted this in another thread, but it seems maybe I should of posted it it and can get more help (I hope).
Ok. here is the issue I'm having.
First I demuxed the MKV to get the .264 and the .DTS file. Then
I loaded up my MKV into MeGUI using the the following avs script;
DirectShowSource("e:\video.mkv",fps=23.9760431376968,audio=false)
addborders(0,16,0,16)
Got the new .264 file, and used TSMuxer to load the DTS file and the new 264 file. Tried to make a Blu-Ray disc and a .m2ts file, both times I get video but no audio. Tried playing with PowerDVD, GOMPlayer and VLC.
I do have a 1-2sec grey flicker at the beginning of the video, but its fine the rest of the way. Something I'm doing wrong? I haven't tried it in my PS3 yet.
---
In the other thread, it mentioned to try to have both files in the same directory. However, I did have them in the same dir.

Try and use tsmuxer and load your new .264 file, and your ORIGINAL mkv file, select the new video, and deselect the video within the mkv file in tsmuxer. This will mux your new 264 and original dts into the blu ray structure itself, then all you have to do is burn it.

Convert SRT to SUP (in demux mode). I use tahoma font size 72 (48 for 720p) ,bottom offset 96 (64 for 720p). Once you have sup file import it and mux into Blu-Ray structure. Only this method works at the moment.

Hit add button in tsMuxer.
Navigate to your ripped BD folder>BDMV>PLAYLIST>00001.mpls. Open this file and it should append all the relevant .m2ts files.
00001.mlps will not always be the main movie, but it is in Walk Hard.

could you check on something?
tsmuxer will not read correctly evo files created by Nero Vision.
Long Story short, i'm trying to fit two shows on single BD disc. Nero Vision doesn't allow to create Progressive BD project. So I decided to create HD-DVD project with progresive then remux it to BD.
created files play fine in PowerDVD Ultra 7.3 from an image, but neither evodemux, tsmuxer or tsremux can open the files correct.

Hello:
Has anyone successfully used tsmuxer to generate a TS file containing one H.264 ES and one MPEG-4 AAC ES? I have one H.264 ES which could be successfully played by VLC and mplayer. However, I got the error message "Can't detect stream type" when I added this file into tsmuxer's GUI tool. Could anyone tell me how to solve this problem?
The firmware version of the tsmuxer I used is 1.7.6(b).
Thanks.

Convert SRT to SUP (in demux mode). I use tahoma font size 72 (48 for 720p) ,bottom offset 96 (64 for 720p). Once you have sup file import it and mux into Blu-Ray structure. Only this method works at the moment.
I've done that but same problem. When it was demuxing it said 1080p but my file is 720p, maybe that's the problem? PS3 recongnizes the sub dtream but i cant see them.

tsMuxer 1.8.4:

I expect what SRT subtitles will be work on PS3 without step with .SUP file generation.

Resolution for subtitles tracks detected by video track. If no video tracks selected, then assigned default resolution 1920x1080@23.976.

Try and use tsmuxer and load your new .264 file, and your ORIGINAL mkv file, select the new video, and deselect the video within the mkv file in tsmuxer. This will mux your new 264 and original dts into the blu ray structure itself, then all you have to do is burn it.
Thanks for this. I did this, and still couldn't hear the audio with any player I have (VLC, GOM, PowerDVD).
The audio plays fine inside the .mkv and on its own as a .dts, however when it's inside a .m2ts container, it won't.
So, after I muxed it together, I just tried to demux it again to see if the audio actully worked. It did. I then just went ahead and burned it anyways to try in the PS3, well it all played fine. Not sure why I can't get dts audio to play inside a .m2ts file on my computer side, is this a known issue?

Hi Doombot
I have a popcornhour nmt and I have just joined 2blueray M2ts files together ,
namely black hawk down , and they play flawlessly over the join , no skip , no stutter in either audio or video
or maybe I was just lucky
I have also decoded to to xvid in an avi container using media coder and this plays again no problem on my netgear eva8000

Does anyone know the PGS # of the English subtitles spoken by the vampires in 30 Days Of Night? I haven't been able to get any subs to show up with this movie. Trying now with 1.84.
(I guess we all need subs every once in a while):p

Sure does :) . Great work, this the only app you need for HD playback on the PS3.
Thanks again.

Have you found a way to stream VC1 video to the PS3? If so, that would be fantastic .
Cheers, Beastie.

You need to read some of the more recent post in this thread for VC-1 Play back on the PS3, I think the Popcorn hour can playback Vc1 anyway.
A good starting point would be here : http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1126598#post1126598 :)

That's good to hear although i dont have a popcorn hour i have a tvix player i wonder if popcorn hour plays files better right now then the tvix but they should fix things with firmware updates if the problem is on there end. Have you tried other movies that have many split files?

Hi Doombot
no that is is the only movie I have with multiple M2TS files ,
I know ratatouie has many files so if somebody wants to loan me that in the UK I could give it a go , that would be a good test case as there is something like 20 files

I have been trying since yesterday with all intermediate versions of tsmuxer. All the times when I turn the subs option on PS3 on, nothing happens.
My sources are mkv files of popular tv seriers at 720p with english srt files.
I create blue-ray structure and burn to udf 2.5 dvd.
The dvd plays in PS3 as AVCHD.
I also tried renaming the files to 8.3 and copying to usb stick. Again this works as AVCHD, I turn on the subs but they do not appear.
I have played with many different font sizes and bottom offsets without success.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks..

@gwendal13
First of all Welcome to the Forum!
only by re-encoding, tsmuxer is a MUXER (join audio and video) not a encoder
you must use something like ripbot264 or automkv or megui
BHH
would you happen to know of any good step-by-step guides for any of those?

Ripbot is easier to use than DVD shrink.;)
Open your source file, select profile and audio, select output size and go.
I've re-encoded many blu-rays to fit a DVD-9 with this method.
Encoding times are killer though. 20+ hrs on a AMD 4800 dual core.

thanks, i will try it later today. have you ever tried puting two or more clips on single disc without menus? does PS3 or other bd players allow to select which title to play?
I need to shrink few files about 1-2gb to get 2 of them on single disc. no point in burning 11gb on 23gb disc

I think that would take an authoring program like Scenarist. $$$
You could shrink the files down with Ripbot, try to mux 2 files with tsMuxer and create a blu-ray disc structure, then burn with Img burn.I'm not sure if tsMuxer is capable of creating a Blu-ray structure with more than 1 playlist.
I haven't tried this, but it should work.

Source SRT text file can be in any unicode format: UTF-8, UTF-16 or UTF-32
Thats all I can think of at the moment.
And use the latest version 1.8.4 @ the time of post.

Did you also try 00002.mpls? Are you using 1.83? Movie is Walk Hard region1?
This did it. Opening up the mlps stream in the newest version of tsmuxer gave me a file that streamed to my PS3 perfectly. Thank you very much.
