Great news on the blu-ray structure muxing!
Please, please, please!!! Add SRT subtitles support!!!
And please, fix the AAC detection on a MKV container! Thanks!!!!!
I know it is a extra step but supread currently converts srt to sup in like 1 minute.

Jamos...
Yeah... That's what I'm doing right now...
THanks for responding anyway. Do you know a fix for the AAC thing?
If I add it off the MKV and mux the file, the PS3 gives me no audio... :(
Thanks!

Hey... I don't know if I did something wrong, but I've just finished burning my BD structure disc with Nero 7 (UDF 2.5) and the PS3 gave me no video on it. Just audio. I muxed a mkv file with H264 stream and AC3, changing the level on the H264 to 4.1 as I used to do when muxing TS or M2TS to play on the PS3.
When I start playing the movie on the PS3, I get normal audio, but no video (the screen blinks some times without video and then gets totally black)...
What could I be doing wrong?
Thanks a lot!

That is normal for a 1080p video. you can not just use remxu and 4.1 avc on them because they normally have more than 4 ref. frames that the ps3 doesnt support with 1080p.
So you will have to reencode it with x264 first try using ripbot or megui.

It was actually a 720p video. Should I still remux it with x264?
Maybe it's something related to the resolution. TSMuxer shows me 960x528 as the resolution even if I get 1280x544 when playing on media player classic.
This is one of the nhanc3 movie releases... They have decent file sizes, but I believe they resize the video stream... Not sure why media player classic gives me full 720p HD resolution, though...

hmm yes it seems non standard. media player classic may just stretch it to that resolution. but being cropped you would have to reencode it anyways to add borders to 96 and change the resolution to 1280x528. best to use Mediainfo to find out exactly what resolution it really is.
create a avisynth script (ie use notepad with a .avs file extension) and try this.
DirectShowSource("C:\video.mkv",fps=23.9759856527702,audio=false)
Lanczos4Resize(1280,528).addborders(0,96,0,96)
then load the script into megui and use the hd-DVD profile or one of xolo's BD profiles to reencode just the video (use mkvextract to extract the audio). if your framrate (FPS) is not 23.976 then use that instead in your script ie 25 for pal etc. Make sure your bitrate in the profile is not too big either or you wont be able to fit it on a dvd.

I made a few 3x HD-DVDs back when I had the player and the end of the format war didn't seem so imminent. Most of them are episodes of SNL cut down to 40 minutes to fit on a single layer DVD, but in the original HD broadcast format.
Now I'm burning Blu-Ray DVDs also from SNL episodes and I want to convert the few 3x HD-DVDs I had made to BD. VideoRedo opens the EVOs but the audio is really weird, as if all the people were talking with a stupid robot voice. It's quite hilarious actually.
Anyways, I found this tool and I loaded the first EVO. Since this 3x HD-DVD wasn't encrypted, I just copied the files from the DVD to a folder in my video HD. tsMuxer opens the first EVO but it shows this message: "Some tracks not recognized. This tracks was ignored. File name: "D:\SNL Peyton\HV001T01.EVO"".
However, the next four EVOs open up without problem, and it shows both the Mpeg 2 and the AC3 tracks. So something went wrong with the first EVO. Is there a tool that fixes EVOs? Something like Mpeg2Repair (which I already tried and doesn't work). I would appreciate any help very much.

Hmm, the readme.txt is in Russian ? so I can't confirm whether it'll take an .mpv mpeg2 from HC and an .MP2 from ffmpeg and mux them into a .TS which I can then edit with VideoReDo...
Hoped-for workflow = DV capture, process with AVISynth/HC/ffmpeg, mux, edit, create DVD. As far as I know HC doesn't process audio so can't do a HC 1-pass to create an all-in-1 .mpg :)

I have tried to create simple MovieObjects file and I receive 66 bytes file. This file is identical with MovieObject in old version of tsRemuxer. But this file works incorrectly with PS3. May be current file with 3 movie objects is correct?
You can use BDedit to look the bdmvs.
I will make a few version of these files and put them here for testing (I haven't got PS3 or BD player here).
Edit:
http://pel.hu/down/BDMV1.zip
It contains the two bdmvs, MovieObject untouched, index cutted (no extension data).

for all if you want to make a AVCHD that plays on ps3 you have to replace the .BDMV files with the nero ones in the BDMV folder of TSmuxer output.
You can get them here (http://rs168.rapidshare.com/files/47821885/BDMV.rar). Else if you burn to dvd you just get a data disk showing up on PS3 instead of AVCHD.
but what I need to do if I want to burn on BD-R/BD-RE, not to DVD? I tried and get error message from PS3: "this is an invalid disk"

just use tsMuxer or tsremux and output it as bluray then put the 2 folders it creates onto your BD-R BD-RE as a UDF 2.5 filesystem.
Worked here with several of my hddvd to bluray conversions.

This is limitation in the tsMuxer. I'll can to implement this feature, but I need example of the file with H.264 picture order 2
Here you can download a little file (17Mo). Sorry it's not the good framerate (normally 60 fps : probleme with mp4box I think) pour I think it's not important for the SPS order 2

from xport I know when demuxing video and audio from some mpeg2 or h264 .ts streams sometimes the audio streams needs a little positive or negative delay, otherwise it would be out of sync when remuxing both streams manually to mkv again for example. so is there a chance that a possible delay for a demuxed audio stream could be noted somewhere?

thank's a lot! it really works with TsRemux! but what to do, if I authored two clips in Scenarist?
P.S. I didn't test TsMuxer's "create blu-ray disk" option yet due to known issue (stuttering) with MPEG-2 video.

Hi,
could you please add the playlist (.mpls) format as input?
- manually appending all that many files which belong together is a pain in the ass...
(speaking of AvP which contain two different 'versions' of the same film, separated in many short clips; those which belong to one version are listed in 00000.mpls, those which belong to the other version are listed in 00001.mpls)
thanks

it depends on many things. information you've presented is too few. 1st question: did you burn AVCHD disk with help of tsRemux? else, I guess, you can only use 1st 2Gb of your file - this is FAT-filesystem limitation.
The only FAT size limitation is 4 GB for a single file (and 2 TB total disc size, but I don't think that's the issue since last I checked single discs only went upto 1 TB), and even that doesn't apply to PS3 internal HDD, since I'm pretty sure internal drive is formatted as something other than FAT.
u r right! it's all mine vicious intel-microsoft thinking. :) 2Gb on FAT, 4Gb on FAT32. But I basicly spoke about the way he transfered file into PS3. Anyway I just point to the one obvious reason.
P.S. The guy still didn't reply yet.
P.P.S. I'm still too lazy to plug the HDD from PS3 to PC to check what file system there is... :)

I noticed this tool supports ACC, but can it transcode ACC 5.1 to AC3 5.1?
If not, here is a request for this. It would allow me to take Quicktime HD trailers and convert them to something playable on both the PS3 and even standalone Blu-Ray player. In addition support of MP4 container would also round out this tool completely.
Can anyone suggest an easy process or tool for ACC 5.1 to AC3 5.1? I know that there is a process to demux all 6 channels and then using something like Sony Vegas to create an AC3 track. Just seems like a huge process and wondering about sync issues.

As Atak said, I am not sure you know entirely what you are talking about. First of all, there is no such thing as ACC. It's AAC. "Advanced Audio Codec".
Second of all, if you want to create a 5.1 AC3, use Aften.

Yes, muxer just takes the streams and packages them and does not touch or re-encode anything. Where transcoder takes one format and transforms it into another (i.e. MPEG2 -> H.264).
First of all, there is no such thing as ACC. It's AAC. "Advanced Audio Codec".
Second of all, if you want to create a 5.1 AC3, use Aften.
Sorry, I of course meant AAC (damn typo habits are hard to break).
Yes, I ran across Aften, but was hoping I could just find a tool that does it all in one shot. I think I found that in the tool mkv2vob. It muxed in the original H.264 and transcoded the AAC 5.1 to AC3 5.1 and also wrapped it inside the MPEG-2 transport stream needed. It made things quite easy once I found a tool that turned MP4 into MKV (mkvmerge).
So I guess since the title of this tool is a tsMuxer, then that is all it does it mux and de-mux (extract streams). I sometimes see tools grow beyond the names that they started with so I just thought I would ask. Maybe the first post could clarify - "No don't ask this tool does no transcoding, its only a muxer". The name implies this, but as I said I have seen some tools grow beyond their intended purpose and noone wants to rename them because the name is branded into peoples heads. Sorry bout that.
I'll give these tool a look if I ever need just muxing and extracting streams.
It would be nice to see the MP4 container supported in the future, but for now its quite easy to get to MKV from MP4 with mkvmerge.

But, is there a different way to further convert them?
When using SupRead to OCR to srt, I got so many errors, it would basically take half a day to fix them.
I am trying to get the streams 1080p and feed them to something like AutoMKV, to get and 4-6gb final file, which I can store in my movie library on my HD.
Any suggestions are welcome:-)
