Just gave the 2876 update a try and it works great! Thanks for the quick fix, it's most appreciated.

Just "upgraded" to 2836 and am struggling to get it to work. With every attempt to run a one-click job, the resulting video is nothing but a green screen with the words "Bad license" at the top of the screen. The encoding takes 3 minute and should be taking 30 minutes. No errors are returned and the log file shows everything processed perfectly.

That bad license error indicates that you do not have a valid license file for DG tools in the same directory as DGDecodeNV.dll.

You're most welcome...my hats off to you for responding so quickly, as you have in the past...most impressive.
Thanks again

That bad license error indicates that you do not have a valid license file for DG tools in the same directory as DGDecodeNV.dll.
Well, DGIndexNV works by itself and in version 2624, plus I verified the license validity with the DGIndex people.
Just to be clear, I have a folder named DGIndexNV in the MeGUI "tools" folder. In the DGindexNV folder are the DGIndexNV.exe, DGIndexNV.dll, DGDecodeNV and license.txt files.

"the DGIndex people"
videoh = DG ;)
Check your system for stray copies of DGDecodeNV.dll, for example, in your plugin directories. Avisynth+ is not always so transparent about where it picks up the DLL. If you still have the problem after making sure there is only the one DLL there in the folder and nowhere else, then we may have to get Zathor involved.

Then you were the "people" person that confirmed it!;)
Checked around, found a copy in the Avisynth+ plugins folder (but I think I need it there) and removed it (temporarily). Still, the file created was a green screen with the "Bad license" message. So, that rules that possibility out.

I recently backed-up my UHD disc version of Blade Runner Final Cut and have been most impressed that its colour doesn't have the blueish tinge that the VC-1 Blu-ray disc release has.

Anyway, my question is... What are my options to configure MeGUI to generate an 10-bit HEVC encode at 1920x1080 pixels whilst preserving the colour?
Cheers

Ignore my recent posts. I have solved the green screen with the "Bad license" message. Unfortunately, it may not be helpful to others as I simply deleted the entire MeGUI folder and downloaded a replacement. Must have been a corrupt file in the first download.

@SeeMoreDigital:
Complaints about wrong hues always remind me of wrong colorimetry interpretation by the decoder/player/renderer (like 601 vs. 709, and now even 2020)...
And smaller images or even linked thumbnails are preferred here over page filling screenshots.

With the One-Click encoder, single files can be directed to a chosen output folder. However, when a folder input (for batch jobs) is selected, there is no way (that I can find) to choose an output directory location. The entire output of the batch process is placed in the source folder. Is there a way to set the output folder for batch jobs?

Actually, the blueish tinge is only evident in the 'Final Cut' release of Blade Runner.
The 'Theatrical Cut', 'International Theatrical Cut' and the 'Directors Cut' versions of the movie look more like the UHD release colour-wise. All the aforementioned versions are available within the '30th Anniversary Collectors Edition' Blu-ray disc boxed set.

Thank you, that does work. However, that sets the default location for all processes. While it is better than nothing, I was looking for the ability to do this from the One-Click encoder such as can be done with single files. That way it is for a given situation, rather than as a default for all.
It seems that it was an oversight in the design of the GUI. I'll add it to the list for improvements.

With every One-Click job run, I receive the warning/error that the file cannot be opened under the MediaInfo log entry. The files process ok, but this message leaves me concerned. Is this something that can be fixed or is it ok to ignore it?

Yes: it is the file I intended to upload. However, you are right: it is the installation zipped folder. When I saved the settings, I selected to over-write that installation folder with the settings. I was asked if I wanted to replace that installation zip file and chose "Yes." I then received the confirmation message from MeGUI that it was successful but, that was an error. I just repeated this action to verify it.
You may want to look into this saving procedure as it seems that it does not over-write files when it says that it does.

Running a One-Click job using the script:
TFM(slow=2)
TDecimate()
In 2836, the output is 23.976 FPS as it should be. In 2876, the same script creates a file having 19.181 FPS and, of course, the playback is not smooth.
LigH
26th September 2018, 07:50
Almost seems like after a decoder already applying IVTC (or just "not applying Telecine" – e.g. DGMPGDec is able to respect or ignore Telecine flags in MPEG-2), TDecimate adds an IVTC attempt on already progressive FILM material. So it may depend on the available source format and the used decoder, too.
Danette
26th September 2018, 14:35
The source is definitely the 3:2 telecined pattern (MPEG based NTSC TV shows from DVD). I considered the possibility of duplicate deinterlacing, but the One-Track configuration does have the "Automatic Deinterlacing" un-checked. I simply imported the 2836 settings into the 2876.
Version 2836 is perfect, but 2876 has this odd FPS on the same files. Both are using DGindexNV.

How meGUI trick to pass the AVS to make it as the input of neroAacEnc?
I tried to write batch to auto downmix to stereo 200 audio files using neroAacEnc and AVS. I tried to use meGUI to get the example cli but can't see how they pass the AVS input (neroAacEnc only support WAV input).
This is cli in my log:

MeGUI usually stores all data below its installation directory; that's the reason why it should not be installed in the UAC monitored Program Files area. I have a joblists.xml where the MeGUI.exe is located.

Does the player support Xvid/Divx?
Then choose video codec Xvid (HomeTheatre), container AVI, audio codec lame MP3 or AC-3.
If not see AVStoDVD (https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=126647) instead of MeGUI.

When editing text/path in fields like Video Output, ctrl+c and ctrl+v works fine, but if you want to cut text out with ctrl+x it triggers the exit and closes the program, which ain't right.
Zathor
13th October 2018, 15:32
Reason is that File\Exit has also the shutcut ctrl+x. Potentially I could change all other relevant controls to ignore that, however easier is to simply remove the File\Exit option completly. I assume nobody is using that to close MeGUI.
EDIT: or better: I have changed it from ctrl+x to alt+f4

Speaking of cutting and pasting, would it be hard to endow the script creator with more than one "undo" level?
Currently right click and "undo" reverts the last change to any text entered under the script tab, but a second right click and "undo" effectively becomes "re-do". It'd also be nice if after changing something via the GUI (cropping or resizing etc) you could switch to the script tab and "undo" the changes MeGUI made to the script, although maybe that's wishful thinking. It'd be nice to have more than one undo level when manually editing a script though. The more the merrier, really.
Cheers.

Under the FFMpeg AC-3 configuration dialog, I often use the Time Modification option to slow down with pitch correction from 25 to 24 FPS. I would like to know if it's possible to do the same but using other custom FPS. For example, at the moment I'd like a 22 to 20 time modification, with pitch correction. I guess one can achieve this using the command line in the "Extra" tab, but I don't know how to do it or where exactly to look for it. Thanks!
