Sorry, without sample files I am not able to test it. Did it work before at all or did it never work?

It works after I switch ffms2 to version 2.2.0, 2.2.1 too but it has that off by 1 frame prob. At 2.2.2 I get an upside down green screen

Do you have installed all Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime versions all of your additional plugins may possibly need?
Oh. This is new content. And runtime DLLs appear to be present as well.
MeGUI appears to create a script with "LoadPlugin", but the error message reports it can't load a C plugin; so I wonder if "LoadCPlugin" is required, especially if you don't use AviSynth+.
Taurus
15th December 2016, 19:48
No, "yadifmod2.dll" is not a C plugin.
It's maintained and ported to an avs 2.6 plugin.
There is something fishy going on.
Just tried it, works as expected.
Even in MeGui.......

And "error=0x7e" is still a bit ambiguous. A DLL could not be loaded; but the reasons are not so clear. Unsupported CPU instructions should not be the reason, there is a fall-back ladder down to pure C code. A missing runtime may be possible, despite runtime DLLs probably residing in the same directory (but are they complete, and supported when not installed in a whole redistribution pack?). I guess an installation of MSVC 2015 runtimes for Win32 should eliminate this doubt.

15th December 2016, 20:39
The installation of the redist package will fix it. Reason is that the correct runtime files are provided, but so that they will be used these files have to be copied to the encoder directories and the root directory of MeGUI.

The installation of the redist package will fix it.(...)
Unfortunately, it did not help.

Download AVSMeter to verify your Avisynth installation.
From the command prompt type "avsmeter -avsinfo -log" (without the quotation marks")
Set the path to avsmeter accordingly.
Post the avsinfo.log it creates.
"yadifmod2.dll" should use following dependencies:
MSVCP140.dll
VCRUNTIME140.dll
api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll
api-ms-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll
KERNEL32.dll
I dont know how MeGui handles the path environment variables.
Maybe the internal MeGui avisynth installation burks,
or you accidently messed up your plugins.
Let us know.
Zathor

If you do not have the proper redist files installed in the system, the files have to copied/available in these directories:
AviSynth+:
In the same directory as the plugin
AviSynth:
- In the MeGUI root directory (for AVS Script Creator and audio encoding)
- In the video encoder directories (e.g. tools\x264)

Hello,
I'm getting this error while trying to rip the VOB subtitles. There are 2 selective subtitle streams. I don't understand why the ripper is looking for forced only subs and is erroring out?
Is there a way to fix it? Thanks

Please start the mentioned command line manually (in a command prompt). Make sure the .vobsub file is available.
That way you should see an error (you may have to remove the two close lines in the vobsub file). Please report back.

Any way within MeGUI to trim the first x seconds and the last y seconds from a video while remuxing or recording to mp4 container?

Running the command from the "cmd" resulted in the same error. It looks the ripped vobsub file is just 1KB and doesn't have any subs other than the text shown in the log. So the parsing error being shown makes sense to me.
I downloaded the vsrip separately, ran against the same IFO and it did create the sub/idx files.

Did you see an error in the VSRip window when you run it from the CMD? Could you paste here the text output of the window, please?

Well after running the "cmd", I got a Vsrip popup window which said "Error parsing parameter file!"

Thanks for the report. The file "C:\Videos\Tmp DVD Files\PG_VTS_02_1.vobsub" does exist? If not you can create it yourself with the content from the log above or you can do a new MeGUI job and disable the options in the settings that intermediate files should not be deleted.

Yes, the vobsub file does exist and have the content as shown in the log. I tried by un-checking the "Intermediate files should not be deleted" option but that didn't help. The 2624 build doesn't have this problem.

Both problems, parsing error and IVTC.dll, solved
going back 2624, last in Sourceforge.
Up to now, 2624 couldn't update itself. Even renaming
AutoUpdate.xml to AutoUpdate.xml.old.It just creates a
new one, but do not seems to find any new update.

Problem found! If you have a space in your output path, then it does not work. It will be fixed in the next build

Right now I'm on 2679. the last to work fine, at least for me.
I do let 2679 update to 2691 to see what happens, but with
2691 errors came back and so do I to 2679.
Running windows 10, home edition.
The fallowing is the last log I found of 2691:

Problem found! If you have a space in your output path, then it does not work. It will be fixed in the next build
Awesome! Thank you.
Will it take some time until the build 2694 be available for update? I just tried but it didn't get the update...still at 2691.
Is 2624 build still the latest and the greatest stable build?
Thanks

Ok I got the 2695 build and no more vobsub issue.

Hi,
with the actual Version of Megui and following encode procedure thought directshow and with:
source type "interlaced"
field order "top field first"
deinterlacer "yadif"
I got an error message :
"yadifmod2: input clip must be a planar format"
the avs file is following:
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\Haali\MatroskaSplitter\avss.dll")
dss2("C:\encode\test.mkv", fps=25.000).AssumeFPS(25,1)
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\MeGUI_2624_x86\tools\avisynth_plugin\yadifmod2.dll")
Yadifmod2(order=1)
crop(0, 2, 0, 0)
LanczosResize(1280,720) # Lanczos (Sharp)
#denoise
will it be fixed in next versions? whats the problem?

I wonder which color format your DSS2() call returns; maybe YUY2? That would be not planar, but "packed pixel". Add an Info() as third line and remove the rest, then check it in VirtualDub.
Why do you prefer DirectShow at all? Hardly anyone here would recommend that, instead you should prefer native AviSynth source plugins. Maybe converting frame rates is your main argument?

I am wondering only - i always made my encode in this style. It was fine. Till the last update it doesnt work.
I will add that Info() and reply the info. When i have megui opened i use the AVS Script Creator (CTRK + R). What you mean with native AvySynth Source plugin?
LigH
28th December 2016, 20:04
Native AviSynth source plugins are those which don't rely on system-installed decoders: e.g. FFMS2 or L-SMASH Works (via "File indexer" in MeGUI), or Donald Graft's source plugins if you have registered them (DGDecNV for Nvidia GPUs or DGDecIM for intel QuickSync), or possibly even DSS2Mod using its local copy of LAV Filters, not DirectShow.

Strange one - if i trigger it thorugh the Fileindexer (FFMS2) everything is fine - and i can start the encode.
I think the Problem is megui doenst add the ConvertToYV12() line to the avs file anymore. I have it still active that he should add that line - but he doesnt do it.
LigH

The uncertainty if a DirectShow decoder delivers YV12 or anything else (which would depend on your setup of your specific installed DirectShow filters) is a reason why DirectShow decoders are not generally recommended. Furthermore, MeGUI cannot know if there is e.g. a low quality deinterlacing filter in your filter chain which destroys the quality of the video before MeGUI can handle it ... etc.

As far as I know it only offers to add ConvertToYV12() when you save the script and/or add it to the job queue. You're not getting that far because Yadif2mod is getting upset first. It doesn't support YUY2. The original Yadif does. Well it's not listed as a supported colour format here (http://avisynth.nl/index.php/Yadif), but here (http://avisynth.nl/users/fizick/yadif/yadif.html) it is.
You'd need to add ConvertToYV12() to the script before Yadifmod2 yourself, or maybe more importantly work out if the DirectShow output should be YV12 and if it should, why it's not.
As a side not, I noticed in the Yadifmod2 changelog:
https://github.com/chikuzen/yadifmod2/tree/master/avisynth
0.0.3(20160320)
yadifmod2 w/o edeint clip are almost same as yadif1.7 except edge part of image.
Anyone know what the differences are, for the frame as a whole and the edge part of the image?

I am experiencing the problem with "missing library" in MeGUI 2695 on WInwod 7 32bit. Since one of the recent updates I started receiving following message
LoadPlugin:unable to load "C:|Progam Files\MeGUI\tools\lsmash\LSMASHSource.dll", Module not found.
Install missing library?
(D:\encode\file.avs,line 3)
I created avs scripts for ages with no problem using this
SetMemoryMax(512)
SetMTMode(3)
<input>
#
AudioDub(last, LWLibavAudioSource("copy here real path", stream_index=1, av_sync=true))
#
SetMTMode(2)
Load_Stdcall_Plugin("C:\Program Files\MeGUI\tools\yadif.dll")
Yadif(order=-1)
crop(2, 2, -2, -2)
Spline16Resize(720,400) # Spline16 (Neutral)
Import("C:\Program Files\MeGUI\tools\denoise-min.avs")
Trim(, )
Reinstalling LSMASHSource.dll did not help. Changing LSMASHSource.dll version manually did not help either as Megui simply would not find the library. Any ideas?

LoadPlugin:unable to load "C:|Progam Files\MeGUI\tools\lsmash\LSMASHSource.dll", Module not found.
Is that a typo on your end or is it actually like that in the script?

Check if there is an option in the MeGUI configuration which leads to the path where AviSynth plugins are stored, and if this is misconfigured.

@sneaker_ger
yes it was a typo in my post on the forum. I have "C:\Progam Files\..." in the Megui scripts
@LigH
where at in MeGUI? I can not find any such option in Options/Settings menu. I found only below options
Always use the included AviSynth - NO (not set)
Show video preview after Avisynth script selection - NO
Improved AVS opening - YES
It might be that this error has something to do with recent change "2693 [AudioEncoder] default to LWLibavAudioSource()/LSMASHAudioSource()"
LigH

OK, this location is not configurable...
May we have a look at the whole content of D:\encode\file.avs and of the log file?

The error is likely in 2695 itself. Could you please post the "Versions" block in the log?
I assume the redist files may be once again not in the correct directory.

MeGUI had some avisynth updates on the way and to make sure that is not causing the problem I have replaced avisynth with version which I use for number of years to have MT working from http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=148782

I assume the redist files may be once again not in the correct directory.
It appears to be missing for a 32bit operating system setup and dare I say it..... XP.
I think for the older L-Smash it should be msvcr100.dll.
There's a copy in the "lsmash-r784-150316-XP.7z" file but not in the "MeGUI\tools\lsmash" folder. I assume there should be?
I'm not having problems as I have the appropriate runtime installed, but I thought I'd mention it.

Oh man. I would have never guessed I was missing "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable x86". Had only those -> https://justpaste.it/11zx1 Indeed using the link from the lsmash folder made it working again

That's what I keep telling over and over ... installing all available MSVC runtimes (in 32 and 64 bit on a 64-bit Windows) is the only reliable solution; unfortunately, it uses also the most disk space.

If you don't have the runtime files installed though, the plugin requiring them will fail to work in exactly the same way it'd fail without the appropriate dll in the same directory. ;) Plus MeGUI is supposed to be portable.
I ran a search out of curiosity, and Aegisub, Audacity, AvsPmod, DVDFab Passkey, Firefox, Foobar2000, Free Video Editor, Hybrid, Nero, Levelator, Lotus Symphony, MCEBuddy, MyMP4BoxGUI, Pale Moon, Potplayer, Subtitle Edit, TAudioConverter, Thunderbird and Video To Video Converter are all programs I have with runtime files in their folders. Sixty one copies of msvcr**.dll in total.

For a 32 bit OS, ricktendo's all-in-one installer which includes all runtimes from 2003 to 2015 takes up about 50MB after install, for a 64 bit OS it's about 80MB (32 bit + 64 bit runtimes).

I agree that installing the runtime/redist dlls is the prefered way. However I try that MeGUI is portable and as on some machines not even administrative permissions are available, installing runtime files is an issue. MeGUI does also work when no AviSynth is installed.

With VS2015 the number of files that are potentially needed has grown quite a bit, 50+ DLLs. The Universal CRT alone is 40 DLLs. Maintaining a portable version of all these dependencies may get messy.
