Yes! I need only TSmuxer 1.3.1 to make an working vob file for the PS3. Changing the level from 5.1 to 4.1 an make an m2ts file. After what rename the m2ts file to vob. Thats it! Very fast and simple. :)

still only works for certain mkvs, you still may need to transcode either the video or audio. that is why you would use this program as it checks the files to see if they can just be remuxed or have to be transcoded.

I think it will always transcode if you choose subtitles as it forces them on the screen (ie you can not toggle them off).

and yes it will work without loader.exe, this file only does the download updates, just run mkv2vob.exe directly.

19 GB on template drive, 20 GB on destination drive.

I'm trying another file and it's working, maybe it's an imcompatibilyti with that specific file.

20gb is not enough space to convert a 8gb file.
you need 3x the space of the mkv file.

if new tsmuxer does it directly it will be possible to do it with 1x so maybe wait until tomorrow.

I had issues with DTS previously in MKV2VOB - It would convert ok but I'd get video speed-up.

I recommend you manually convert you DTS audio to AC3 and then run the new AC3 MKV file through MKV2VOB.

I will do some actual testing but i just looked over the free disk space code and it looks ok.

Can you tell me how far does it go before it gets to the error.

only thing i can think of is it uses the movie time length and maybe this file is reporting a very long time in error.

Yeah, it was just a suggestion!

More likely a dodgy MKV file to be fair.

It was a tsmuxer build that gave me issues with DTS previously (1.5.2 I think). Im going to run the matrix though this new build of MKV2VOB and see if it's now working 100%.

I've not converted any DTS movies since 1.5.2 I think.

first of all - great stuff!

Now to my problem:

I get the same error - 'insufficient disk space' with the new version!

I am using XP and a 1TB external drive to store and convert with loads of free space.

Is it possible, that the program still uses the TEMP folder on C?

The file is 10GB, my free space on C is 25GB.

Is there any chance, the program will not need to use the TEMP on C in the future?

I am a little late to the party and I have a few questions. I am a Mac guy running XP in Parallels. For the most part, I think the time using mkv2vob is tolerable. My question is this: I have my MKV's that seem to be the same or similar to those discussed in the thread. All I do is run the mkv2ob.exe, choose the file and select "Automatic." I have perfectly working files after I rename the .vob to .mpg and use medialink. The dolby digital light blares up and it works grand! Am I doing any unnecessary encoding/transcoding? It takes a few hours per file. H264info is the process that takes a long time.

I just tested it with online scanner and it passes with nod32 2008.02.22

Get a real antivirus like Kaspersky or Avira Antivir.

Avira Antivir do a free version I recommend you use over AVG.

Must be false positives.

Probably the heuristics of the antivirus apps are flagging something.

No virus' found here with Kaspersky on one PC, and Avira Antivir Premium on the other.

3r1c already advised that it's most likely the program he is compiling the setup file with. The files are safe, he's looking into it, maybe he'll use a different compiler, if not no biggie.

This is not a mkv2vob issue.
The problem is your windows emulator does not support files over 4gb.
If it works properly on real windows but not on your emulator, the problem is obvously the emulator.

Cant be external subtitles? How can i add the subtitles to the MKV and specifie the language?

This is not a mkv2vob issue.
The problem is your windows emulator does not support files over 4gb.
If it works properly on real windows but not on your emulator, the problem is obvously the emulator.

yeah, sorry for hijacking the thread - i didnt mean it to sound like it was a MKV2VOB issue as i have had 99% success using the program on an old windows machine. In fact, the main reason for the upgrade to the Intel iMac is to run an emulator at a decent speed so i can convert all my video files in one place!

Be nice to have it confirmed that Parallels works 100% with very large files tho...

btw another added bonus of the new version of TSMuxer is that it streams better due to remuxing the bitrate if you notice your network streaming to ps3 should hardly have pauses.

What do you mean the disk? this program only works with mkvs I thought.
