Sirber, could it be possible to implement a checkbox to allow the encoding process to continue with the next file when x264 or besweet throws an error? I think that would be a really useful feature for those that have the computer on most of the time but aren't around to notice that there was an error. It's really frustrating when you leave your pc on to encode a few episodes, go away and when you return you find out the first file made besweet go mad :P

I already have that fixed in RealAnime 5. In case of error, it will continu to the next file. Later you will see in the file list what has failed and what has worked. Also, no more besweet in RA5 :D

a shot of out brand new "Intelligent file list". :D

You're not the first one to complain about this :sly:
I already complaind about it to Sirber and so it will be in RA5. But when it will be out, no one can say. Save for Sirber self, of course...

Also, I listed RA5 as ONE of the posibilities for the failing besweet ;)

Encode the audio manually or wait for RA5 ;)

How would I encode the audio manually? Kinda nub here so any help is apreciated:D

@Nessmaster

open your video file in VirtualDubMod, go to Strem list, and demux your audio track to a WAV file.
or
Open the video in winamp 5.21+ and select WaveOut as the Output audio plugin, to get a WAV file too.
(if you play another video container, add it to the properties of in_dshow.dll , like i add WMV: [MPG;MPEG;M2V;AVI;WMV] )

the encode your wave file with oggdropXPdV1.8.7-aoTuVb4.51P4 and import your ogg vorbis files with mkvtoolnik 1.65, to create a video+audio.mkv file (the video is generated win RA ;) )

good luck

Hey Sirber, how about adding Sharktooth's x264 profile's and removing the B-Frame option for RealAnime 5... I plan on releasing a complete series on Bittorrent using your great program, so I need real good settings for a real good encode. And could you please add an option to remove that "Encoded with RealAnime" thingy... Have you still not corrected those typos? And what about the calculator, does it still not consider over-head? And what's with this RealAnime name anyway. Most folks don't use RealNetworks codecs, and there are lot more things your program can encode than anime. You've spent a lot of time on this great program. Now it's time to fix all the bugs without introducing new ones, remove useless options, add essential ones, correct typos, clean up the interface, give the program a new proper name and finish developing interfaces for human beings (RealAnime, xAnime) except for major bugfixes or non-user-serviceable encoder updates...
Then sit back and relax sipping some iced-tea:)
These are my humble opinions only. Good Luck!

Why not posting that in RealAnime 5 dev thread? You would have seen what RA5 looks like and what it does ;)

Also, RealVideo is dead popular in China.

Is there a mirror? your site is really slow

This is the only server that we have, i currently looking to change the files from place since my current hosting is really bad, they have to much load/servers and their bandwidth is bad too. if you want to have the files located on detritus (files.detritus.qc.ca/ ...) you can wait at night GMT ( around 20h EST) because our servers are in europe and the bandwith is much better at this time. or you can download it at this speed.

The web site is hosted on a normal adsl connection in Quebec. depending if i take a new dedicated server or not it might change place. Sorry for the inconveniance.

Hi,

I'v manage to transfer the web site of servers, the web site will be down for few hours tomorrow around ~8am GMT.

i'll send you the new links when it will be up. files.detritus.qc.ca might not response, it will need dns modification and i dont have the information to do so.

I hope that we will have less problem with this cluster.

sorry for the inconveniance

* I'll send link tomorrow during the afternoon (PST)

I demuxed the audio with VirtualDubMod, and saved it as a wav, and when I tried to encode it with OggDropXP it gave me these two errors respectivly:

http://img280.imageshack.us/img280/3971/error8pp.jpg

So there is something corrupt about the audio file? What can I do to skip the problem or anything to fix it. I am in urgent need to convert these last two files! :(

try it with winamp :) or load your video with a new .avs file

create it with notepad:

directshowsource("video123.avi")

I found something weird... it must be something silly on my side. I made a clean install of my system and now RealAnime shows "Encoder error #84 (BeSweet)". What does #84 means? I suppose I'm lacking something but can't figure out what.
Thank you in advance

I have both enc_aacplus.dll and WA_aacPlus.dll... They were packaged with RA if I'm not mistaken... Should I replace those with any other version or something?

LAIN

if you have only reinstalled realanime over the old install, i'll suggest you to rename the folder "real anime4" to another name and reinstall real anime, maybe a dll wasn't correctly installed at this moment.

If not, i might send you a link with a dll package that i currently use.

Edit: Fixed at last!! Seems like Winamp instalation (or something I installed after Winamp) messed something up somewhere. After updating to Winamp 5.23 the problem got solved... I'm still wondering what could that have been?
Thank you very much Damrod an LAIN!

Wierd that the installation of winamp causes the problem, with the actual programming of realanime, the dll's are forced to be used... but maybe winamp register the dll in the system and realanime didn't know witch dll to use. i'll take a note for realanime5, we might force the path for the dll

Thanks

Lain, maybe you guys should just include the dll's in ur installation instead of relying on peeps having winamp installed on there pc... it would also save some space on everyones pc as they wouldnt have to have winamp installed aswell.

Effectively, like Eretria-chan said, the dll are already in realanime package. The different thing that we can do it's in the code, that we specify the path of the dll that we want to use (in case that windows have registred the dll and realanime want to use this one instead)
