What numbers do you talking about ? those concerning the transcode progress ?

If yes then those numbers of the BeSweet command line are replaced by the progressbar position. But maybe you would like to have the time duration/time progress/time elapsed/time remaining ?

Coudl be great yes but I need to fix others things which are more important for the moment.

Hi,

I need some people to translate in other languages (I have already French and English) the different captions and hints. If you are interested, so send me a PM. I know that there are germans and spanish BeLight lovers here... :D So, it will be good. Thus, I released a new beta. Thanks.

Hey Kurtnoise13, I'm on Linux, and I don't know how to unpack rar files.... could you send me the language pack in zip or something? Thanks.

There is a free unrar application available for most operating systems; several Linux distributions already have it, but you can look at http://www.rarlab.com too.

Sorry...I omitted a word : I'll release... :o :o when I'd have some translation file (there are German, Swedish and Spanish under construction for the moment) and when I'd finish to fix some cosmetics things. Again, not for today... :o

It is very hard for me to translate your phrases. I'm afraid, the translations would differ remarkably from your original.

Kurtnoise
15th June 2005, 14:47
Try to do the best...Does it mean that it's too complicated or my english translation is so poor :o ? It's just some captions and hints after all...

LigH

Sometimes I wonder if it may help to see the GUI to know what it means. Sometimes it is just the selection of words which makes me wonder how I could translate that without describing it in a whole sentence (e.g.: "Operational Options"). I'm afraid I'm not very successful. I even hope that there is some nice editor which could help me here (compare options like "Beyond Compare 2", but still editable).

Same problem here with French <-> English.

@JoeB : Ligh is german. So, I believe that he translates the file into German...:D but you can help him if you want.

I usualy find the english version more easy to use then one in my own native language. Some things are IMO untranslatable and doing so would only make it harder to understand. Buts thats just how i look @ it . If needed i can try to make a dutch translation.

Thanks for the Update Kurtnoise13, I love the package.
Only noticed one issue in the new version so far, the language choice does not seem to save, after closing and re-opening, it seems to always open in spanish.

Kurtnoise
15th June 2005, 22:23
Strange...works fine here. Have you got BeLight.ini file in BeLight folder ?

Pyscrow
16th June 2005, 07:53
Yeah, but I am running the older beta in my normal besweet directory, so I just copied the ini file from its directory, into the new directory and now stays in english.

need some dll. for AAC but dont using ist.
i want only ac3 to mp3 converten but wont work with 0.22 beta 3

thx for help

LigH
16th June 2005, 18:51
Seems that BeLight wants to ensure that you have all required DLLs if you might want to convert to AAC. Please check well if it is just a "warning" (which you may ignore) or really an "error" (means, the program cannot run without it); many people seem to misunderstand how important a message really is.

(I do not yet see the yet unapproved image while writing this.)

1) I download the zip and the installer of BeLight-0[1].22b2 to compare with my actual folder with BeSweetv1.5b29 and I have two questions:
Is besweet.dll necessary? It is not present in the DSPGuru package.
BeSweet.exe is the same version (v1.5b29), size and day, but different hour and content than BeSweet.exe in the DSPGuru package. Is a modified version?

2) Cosmetics:
Don't work 3 Hints: RearChan_Hint, PlugdllName_Hint and Equalizer_Hint
My spanish translation need to be modified (sorry, I can't test it before). Here is the new version:
http://www.cdmontecanal.com/img/spanish.ini
Edit: Don't work the link with "Espaņol.ini". You need rename it.

3) If you plan support Tranzcode, please, don't forget the option for demux a wav_6chan in 6 mono wav.
BeSweet have a limit in 2 GB (only 62 min. in a 48 KHz 6 channel wav). Tranzcode can work with wav6 > 4 GB.

yes it's expected but the 2Gb limit has been corrected in the last BeSweet beta. Make a search...

I've created russian language file (it's parital however). But some captions don't fit.
Also it would be good to add translatations for drop down controls.
It would be nice if language file will be accepted automatically if placed in appropriate folder (menu languages updated).

There is also an other program based on toolame call tWolame. If you are going to use the executable you might consider twolame.exe.

Yes, it was in my todo list. btw, what do you think about an unicode version ? Can you make a such thing ? Unfortunately, I can't compile myself unicode support with my D7 Personnal Version. So, if you want and if you can, I'll update the CVS today...It seems that CoreCodec works now. :)

Kurtnoise13, here is the answer from DSPguru himself, to a post i made awhile back:

there has been a report about static noise that can be found in one of the channels when encoding with toolame.dll, so until i shot this, mp2enc.dll is the default way to go (or make your own personal test and find a mode that you're satisfied with).

This is why toolame.dll isn't included with BeSweet package.

The issue seems to be hiss in the left channel using certain psy modes, which is not present in the exe version.

Kurtnoise

Yes but there is mp2enc.dll...Have you tested extensively with this library ? Is it bad ? I don't think so...
