If there are a lot of source files on the list and I press convert button, BeLight will display 100% after view milliseconds and then only convert the first file. All other files get a .log file only...
Could you test this build (http://corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=45&release_id=282#r282)...Be sure that cmd.exe isn't already using by an other app.

BeSweet removes tags during transcoding if your input has these metadatas. Try to check "No id3" option in Advanced Settings.

Will this big fixed in Besweet? If there is no solution regarding ID Tags and transcoding MP3-OGG, can somebody suggest an alterantive?
Transcoding 7 GB of MP3 to OGG and after that making new ID Tags is a little more work than i love to do:)

Ugly ? Maybe yes, maybe no. Some people ask me to add this feature, so I think this is useful for somebody.

Unfortunately, BeSweet is not the appropriate tool to transcode files having tags. You can test with foobar as alternative. Anyway, lossy-to-lossy transformation is not recommended but you do what you want after all.

@Shon3i: yes, it's planned.

Kurtnoise13,your latest BeLight daily build, 20060505 have one HUGE bug. When i try to encode from WAV, AC3, MP3 to CT AAC+, Belight shows this error message:

You must have WA_aac.dll in the BeLight folder to transcode your file

I don't know why BeLight shows this error, because I have WA_aac.dll in the BeLight folder. I have latest version of file WA_acc.dll, 2.3

With previous daily build, this bug doesn't exist. Please fix this bug.

Where does the HybridGain option dissapeared again, e.g. it is not in the BeSweet OTA mode combobox - only PostGain and PreGain are there?! The default extension for opening files is now set to *.ac3. Could it be something like All Supported Formats (*.ac3; *.wav, etc.). I'm talking about the latest beta.

Already explained...AAC decoders aren't not able to support hybridgain. So, only Post/Pre are there.

@Kurtnoise13: Strange, I was always using HybridGain with no problems. Even now if I type HybridGain in BeSweet OTA Mode combobox I can use it and after restarting BeLight the HybridGain option is there. That's why I want all comboboxes style to be csDropDownList. I'll try with PreGain then. Thx!

Check if enc_aacplus.dll is in your BeLigth-BeSweet folder (not only in winamp folder).

mmmh...I've no idea. All seems to be ok though. Sorry.

About integration of the new AAC encoder from ND : due to the BeSweet limitations and some switches needed by this tool, we can't use it directly for the moment. The only thing usable : make a transcode in 2 steps (xxx -> wav then wav -> mp4). Even this can't be added to BeLight because ND AAC encoder doesn't have a eta.

So, I dream about a new switch for BeSweet :: -clienc( -cmd xxxxxxxx -path "....." ) . Problem : DSPGuru is not here anymore. Or, pray to have a new update for the ND AAC encoder included, at least some eta, or some switches like SampleRate, Bits Depth.

Or use his NeroAACWrapper.exe

depends of your input files but I vote for foobar. It works quite well.

This sound's silly but can you make warper like foobar 0.92 does. Or use his NeroAACWrapper.exe
This uses the old encoder. So, no thank you. With bsn and his API with can make something (such as FAAC or 3GPP encoder) but as I said previously, some switches with the Nero encoder are needed which are not available for the moment...

shon3i
9th May 2006, 15:35
This uses the old encoderNo, no this foobar 0.9.2 beta 2 and NeroAACWrapper.exe from same package use new nero cli encoder, so like you say if you can make bsn for it and so why then do that.

some switches with the Nero encoder are needed which are not available for the moment...
If you think about 2pass there is no necesary to implement this option becouse is unuse. But if you mean SampleRate, Bits Depth i don't know why we need it anyway.

Correct me if I'm wrong but NeroAACWrapper is not there with the last beta.

because bsn needs them.

If you think about 2pass there is no necesary to implement this option becouse is unuse.Well I guess that's your opinion....

I would be quite like it if more AAC codec developers offered a 2-pass encoding mode!

Given that Win Amp's aacPlus encoder does an outstanding job at generating 6Ch AAC-HE encodes at 128Kbps over 1-pass. The mind boggles at what could be achieved over 2-passes!

Cheers

Correct me if I'm wrong but NeroAACWrapper is not there with the last beta. You wrong, is there, and you can't convert to nero without it, of course you can but via comandline.

This is new nero dialog from foobar 0.9.9 beta 2

http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/3796/fb2k8vz.jpg

so if you can use this warper please make belight supporting it becouse is so important

I don't say like that. 2pass not support stdin so, if you want convert ac3-5.1wav that is on you, but i newer try to do that because is silly for me and my hdd space. Implementing 2pass into belight now only can make more bugs, Ivan says that 2pass will maybe can used with stdin in next release.

btw about winamp encoder. I newer have problems with quality such at 128kbs and get perfect quality for that bitrate. I do some test comparing this CT encoder to Nero with all modes even 2pass i don't see any better improvment in quality only 2pass be useful to reduce size of audio file.

Hi!
AFAIK You have my bse encoders sources. So take close look @ bse_faac source - You can easy adapt it to ND AAC CLI encoder and/or even create bse_clieenc generic encoder ;)
Another way - You can create 100% compatible drop-in bsn.dll replacement to allow usage of new ND AAC encoder from leagcy applications...

You can create Your own bse_clienc plugin:

How do I get ND AAC to work? I know it's probably because I don't have aac.dll in the directory, but the problem is even with Nero7 installed (and I even reinstalled), aac.dll is no where to be found on my machine. I DO have aacenc32.dll, which I placed into the BeLight directory, but it still doesn't work. Where exactly do I get this .dll file?

Also, are there any kind of guides available that tell you what you need in order to use all of the encoding options? It seems like a lot of guess work :( The dll pack available on the page with BeLight did get most things working (I currently have MP3, MP2, WAV, and AC3 fully working) but Vorbis and half of the AAC encoding methods (3GP, Winamp CT) don't work, and I don't know which .dll files I need.

I am using the latest daily build of BeLight and BeSweet v1.5b31. I'd paste a log, but there isn't one generated :( The progress window says "Error Occured, check logfile" but none is generated.

Nero 7.2 and higher are not compatible with BeSweet/BeLight. You must have an earlier version...

All options aren't needed most of the time...btw, check out this link (http://www.doom9.org/audio-guides.htm).

Actually, you must check "Output log file" in Advanced Settings to be able to have a log file. It will be locate in the same input file folder.

Thanks for the response.

Is there any chance this kind of information (Like the Doom9 page that has downloads for some of the .dlls) could be added to your webpage for the program? I know it's still in beta and all, but this kind of information would be helpful for new users :p

Which version of Nero will work? Would the last version of Nero 6 work? Do I just need Nero Burning Rom 6 installed, or do I need another application?
