http://img98.exs.cx/img98/171/1305.gif

weird because i´m not using aac :?

afterwards the encode its done properly

Like this message is it.

Try my last build please : http://kurtnoise.free.fr/BeLight/BeLight-0.22beta_20050918.zip
OK position now is center screen, but not saved, the window is still bit bigger then 800x600 resolution, will test batch later on today, thanks Kurt.

Kurtnoise
19th September 2005, 10:05
No need to save position coz BeLight might be in screen center as soon as you load it.

>the window is still bit bigger then 800x600 resolution
then or with ??

these lower resolutions pi** me off honestly... :sly:

@Humax : Ok I see...My fault, I forgot something once again. Sorry...There will be a new build today. Just wait & see. Thanks all for your tests and remember, this is a beta version :p

Hi
it was no critic . I know that its not easy to make software.
It was only a reference to you.

Here is a new build : http://kurtnoise.free.fr/BeLight/BeLight-0.22beta_20050919.zip

I would like to have some feedbacks about multi-monitors users. The BeLight positions are saved now. The problem, which is not a real issue in fact, with low resolution is still there.

@tebasuna : I've changed the channels order for AAC Output format. I hope you like it...I decided to let AAC string to avoid some confusion but channels order is the same as WAV files.

@Humax : it should be ok now. ;)

Thanks anyway for your tests.

Hi Kurt, great Prog!

Here on my 2 monitors the position is saved allways nicely on each Monitor,
as long as you don't shut the Prog by using the Task Manager second Tab (isn't a problem I think...)

Keep on the GREAT work! ;)

about says beta 8...this beta 8?

nice prog...suggestion if I may...if you have need for daily build can you put build # in about box? do not mean to be nit-picky...hey I can't program anything!!!! Just a suggestion!!! thanks as always

Kurtnoise

beta 8 coz I thought last night that I released a new build. But I just discovered that multichannel winamp encoder is limited concerning higher bitrates. That's why I would like to add 2/3 minor things before to release officially a new beta...

In addition, most of my daily builds are not available. And by looking the properties of the exe file, you can see the date. :)

I can't enter a negative delay for the AC3 tab beta7 and the latest sept-19 daily build.. I can with .21.

jarthel
20th September 2005, 13:40
Also I notice that the input and output filenames are the same for the AC3 tab. So when I pressed "start", my original ac3's filesize was truncated to 0 bytes.

No true with the last daily builds...Your output file name must be xxxx_n.ac3 with 1 <n<1000...;)

There is already a zip archive on CC.org. But for BeLight.exe only...

@ Kurt,

enc_aacplus.dll outputs raw aac, not wrapped into mp4 container... so "wrong" commandline is being generated by BeLight.

CiNcH
21st September 2005, 16:55
A more precise report...

I used FAAC with enabled mp4 wrapping before, afterwards I switched to WinAmp and output extension did not change to aac.

I have experienced such behaviour a time ago when switching stereo/5.1 of a codec where azid settings did not change, sorry for not being more precise here...

I'm still working on my bse_* plugins.
the latest news are:
no more separate bse_WinampAacPlusV2_6ch.dll for 5.1 encoding - merged into bse_WinampAacPlusV2.dll
bse_WinampAacPlusV2.dll now produce AAC with MPEG4 ADTS header (Nic's AACPatch merged into bse_WinampAacPlusV2.dll) by default
bse_enhAacPlusEnc3GP.dll renamed to bse_enhAacPlusEnc.dll
no more enhAacPlusEnc.exe - reference encoder code merged directly into bse_enhAacPlusEnc.dll
bse_enhAacPlusEnc.dll now with 5.1 encoding ( still produce unplayable 5.1 AAC yet)

near future plans:
working 5.1 encoding using reference 3GPP encoder implemented in bse_enhAacPlusEnc.dll (maybe this month? I hope...)
WavPack encoding plugin (maybe?)

far future plans:
FAAC++ (FAACPlusPlus) - a new FAAC branch, adding SBR and PS encoding capabilites into FAAC + improving psychoaccoustic model :) Planed start date - November-December 2005

I'm leaning AAC specification atm.

Hi there

I have a bug which I think must be related to my local setup. My laptop has a native resolution of 1400x1050 and when I load belight unfortunately I have no encode button and many features of the UI are outside its containing window?

I have posted an image to imageshack:
http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/2978/besweetbeta87qw.jpg

I assume this is on my end - my setup is dell latitude d610 win xp sp2, ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 graphic card.

I hope someone might b able to help me fix this as I use besweet often and belight seems like a great UI.

best rgds and thanks for any help in advance

I think it's caused by your fontsize which is too large...try to change this in the properties (right click on your desktop --> Settings tab and Advanced button ...or something like that). I'll try to fix this issue.

Thanks.

@Dimzon : sounds good to me... :D

There still seems to be a bug where on first starting the program it ignores which OTA Gain is actually set and uses hybrid gain.

I got this little problem:
1)i select two or more avi files to convert their audio to .mp2

2) select the mp2 DVD preset and click start

3) the prograssive bar go immediately to the extreme right but keep on displaying 0%

4)anyway the conversion proceed in the right way and when the log says that the process is complete the .mp2 file is there where i want to be.
So the conversion is ok but the progressive bar not!

Kurtnoise

@boombastic : avi as input file is not supported in the 0.22 branch for the moment...So, uses 0.21 instead.

@cw_uk : thanks...it's fixed now.

Hmmm, still same problem...

FAAC with "Wrap aac stream in mp4" enabled -> switch to WinAmp -> output extension remains *.mp4 (should be *.aac)

Hello.

When i open BeLight and see the log ('options -> view -> log'), here is the result

16:14:18 BeLight version 0.2.2.0 beta 8 @09/23/2005 started !
16:14:18 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (version 5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2)
16:14:18 Checking libraries for BeSweet...
16:14:18 libvorbis.dll missing !!!
16:14:18 bsn_NeroAAC.dll missing !!!

Libvorbis.dll is in the same directory where BeLight and BeSweet are (so the warning message is wrong).

About 'bsn' the warning is correct i have not renamed 'bsn.dll', but i thought that with besweet 1.5b31 it was not necesary to do it. Anyway when I encode a mp3 into a HE-AAC with Nero digital encoder it works perfectly with -bsn parameter.

BTW good work abd thanks a lot Kurt.

I know why... ;) I assume you don't have vorbisfile.dll, vorbisenc.dll, etc in your folder, isn't it ? I just need to change some "and" by "or" in the code probably. Thanks for the tips.

yes, it works perfectly if you don't use Dimzon Framework (aka Faac, Winamp, or 3gp encoders).

I can use both Nero Digital and Dimzon Framework without renameing.
I use -bsn for "Nero Digital" and -dimzon for "Dimzon Framework". BeLight works perfectly with both enconders (parameters) without renameing.

Thanks again for all the constant effort on this great application!

Is it possible to have BeLight warn you before overwriting a file? Maybe a better idea could be that BeLight just appends a "1" to the end of the filename. Also, maybe it's just me but my Vorbis audio volume is very low compared to AAC using the same gain settings for some reason.

/me just kidding..:)

This is exactly what BeLight does...;) It adds _1 in your output filename.

@Kurtnoise13: If it is not a problem, could you change all comboboxes' Style property to csDropDownList and you can get rid of JVCL by simply using lbButtons I've suggested. I suppose the final EXE will be smaller ;)
