By extreme did you mean "heavy"?
Well anyway i tried buth normal and heavy but the resulted audio had the same volume as the source. Then i tried ligh and there was a significant boost, although the audio seemed kind of unnatural, like some noises were heard.
What should i do?
EDIT:Oh,and what's the option mix audio into existing video .mp4 track? So if i have some video .mp4 named like the mp3 it would mux the audio in?
So if i have a.mp4 b.mp4 and c.mp4 and i have to encode a.mp3 b.mp3 and c.mp3 after the encoding the programm will mux them into the corresponing video .mp4?

mmh, yeah.

Once again...boost presets must be applied with only wav files as input.

if you have a video track with the same name as your input audio file AND if it's a mp4 file then yes...But I don't know whether it works with Nero 7 dlls. This option works only for AAC.

Yes but the dynamics compression didn't do anything! What other choices do i have to increase volume in a significant amount without quality loss?

Yes that's te way i intend to use it.So i need to have a video mp4 in the same directory and then the encoded aac will be muxed into the video automatically?

I'll try...this is my 1st priority. The problem is : I can't reproduce this bug with my materials...
Sharktooth

it has to be some properties in the main form.
resizing it to impossible sizes tends to show the undisplayed controls.
i've got the sources and installed delphi7 personal... but it seems it lacks some external controls or to be an incorrect version.
Kurtnoise
21st December 2005, 17:23
you must have D7 Pro or Ent...Personal Edition doesn't support unicode components.
Sharktooth

well... personal is free... pro or ent isn't...

Kurt as for the boost mode, you said it's best if the sound is wav right? So if i encode an mp3 into wav and then use boost mode will i be ok?Cause i'm demux audio from videos as wav,so would it be suitable to use the boost mode?
Kurtnoise
22nd December 2005, 08:29
if you want to keep your mp3, you can try mp3gain. Otherwise, yes. Transcode a mp3 into wav will be ok for the boost.
Chris Benoit
22nd December 2005, 16:35
But its's not going to remain wav,it's going to be encoded to aac!
Is boost recommended for wav 2 wav conversions or wav 2 whatever?Meaning that only thing that matters is that its a wav input,no matter what the output will be...
Kurtnoise
22nd December 2005, 18:11
wav 2 whatever yes...

Hi,
is possible to do lossless file audio, with this aplication?Sure, just use a lossless codec, e.g. WAV. ;)
Kurtnoise
23rd December 2005, 09:31
well...wav is not really a lossless format.
@Kalisto: no, it's not possible for the moment.

23rd December 2005, 14:33
well...wav is not really a lossless format. Hm, why it isn't? (Thought 16bit PCM is used?)
Kurtnoise
23rd December 2005, 16:56
wav format is more or less a "container"...You can store mp3 or ac3 in wav you know. Of course, most of the time you have pcm stream in wav files which uses an uncompressed method. But this is not very efficient if you compare the results with some other lossless formats (wavpack, monkey's, flac, etc...)
nexus
23rd December 2005, 17:13
I meant the WAV/PCM tab in BeLight (which is the only possibility to encode lossless with BeLight as far as i know). ;)

There is something that makes me crazy
I was using the Nero AAC Encoder very often. Most times in BeLight, somteimes in BeSweet from command-line. And it always worked fine. Until yesterday! I encoded one file and everything was alright. Then I tried to encode another file and Wooooshhhhhh. I doesn't work any longer! I get those "error configuring bsn" error each time. How can this be? I did not change anything at all. Not one bit! Encoding one file: works. Encoding second file: does not work. And now it does not work, for any file. Even for files i encoded minutes before. Encoding doesn't work in BeLight (it says encoding completed after one second, but encoding was *not* completed) and it doesn't work if I run BeSweet directly.
I cannot understand this
I alread tried to re-install everything, but no success :(

Just use bse_Nero7WA.dll
Kurtnoise
26th December 2005, 13:40
You mean bse_Nero7WA.dll only ? coz I've made a quick test with Nero7 dlls :
bsn from Dg & E-male only : ok
bse_Nero7WA.dll only : doesn't work
bsn from Dizmon only : doesn't work
bsn from Dg & E-male + bse_Nero7WA.dll : ok
bsn from Dimzon + bse_Nero7WA.dll : doesn't work
So, what's wrong ?
dimzon
26th December 2005, 13:42
You need original bsn.dll (forget dimzon's bsn - it is obsolete since dedicated -dimzon switch) + bse_Nero7WA.dll
and you must call Nero7 encoder via -dimzon( -dllname bse_Nero7WA.dll ... ) always

I have the same problem with BeSweet/BeLight. Came up suddenly. I still don't understand !!!
Hope they will fix that (see posts above).
Nevertheless there is another command-line front-end for the Nero Encoder, which works fine for me.
Maybe you'll give this one a try:

Summary: from my tests, the Belight/Besweet -ota gain modes are still much lower than original ac3.
Tebasuna51 quantify this as-6db overall volume decrease. I will try 8.035db +6 = 14db and search for distorsion or artefacts (I tried manually +11db with ac3machine on that sample and seems ok)
Could you consider implementing a manual gain command in Belight? thank you.

Some issues with HE-AAC on Nero Digital mode:
a 1:48:46 HMS audio track 6-ch 48kHz 16bits, creates bad audio (played with ffdshow and Winamp) no matter what options I use.
These are clips made with HE profile (all 20 seconds each):
1) encoding 1h48m36s WAV from 1m50s to 2m10s with these options:

try directly with Nero Bundle...if you have the same issue with it, your input file might be the problem. Otherwise if all seems to be ok then BeSweet can be the problem.

Well...select your file in the checklist box then select File/Save..in the Menu entry.
I did. I wouldnīt have bothered u without trying all options... Thatīs what I think is weird. Because I set a new name for the output file in Save..., no errors there (msgs or long abnormal filenames), but it ends up being the same as the input. Maybe Iīm the only one getting this.
Also, when using AC3 sources the Dynamic Compression checkbox always gets checked back to On (Normal) after I de-select it and move the mouse inside of the "file-list window" and back. If mouse position doesnīt enter that window-thingy, the checkbox doesnīt change the selection.
Edited:
found the trashed compression issue on incorrect dllīs versions (aac.dll was not from the last release, a copy-paste glitch when updating/moving some folders). Sorry.

As i know ist
aac+ v1 = aac + sbr

But parametric stereo is only availlable in stereo mode.
