hi

any plans to include 64bits builds?

greetings

I am gone be honest with you, however I don't see the need for 64 bit builds. 64 bit build shine when memory is issue. However tsmuxer doesn't use lot of memory at all in first place.

In addition maintain two version of same program add more administrative overhead which in my humble opinion is not required for this case.

depend, in pure 64bits installation (like linux, if install only 64bits), install 32bits applications need "duplicate" the system with lots of 32-bits libraries to run only one program (for example lib32-qt4 (and all dependencies in 32bits), lib32-glib-libs, etc etc etc)

is necessary for funcionality?: no
is necessary for integration in pure 64bits environment?: of course yes

What media player supports AVC+MVC inside MKV container?

Stereoscopic Player (http://www.3dtv.at/Downloads/Index_en.aspx), but unfortunately it does not support subtitles...

PowerDVD13 should be able to do it (it has everything on-board), but it has some glitches...at the time being it suports only sbs and top/bottom and subs only in uncompressed PGS (mkv standard is a zlib compression)...

---there is a development ongoing to implement mvc decoding in ffmpeg (https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg), but I don't know what the progress is....

Still cannot see subtitles. I also demultiplexed the sup file and checked it with supread. If I remultipled the sup file it had
a 3D offest option dropdown with one option of "zerro". The odd thing is that powerdvd does recognise that there is a subtitle track as it alows me to select it on.

Just tried 2.2.3 and I still cannot get the subtitles to display in 3d or 2d iso. I have tried Power DVD 11 and burning to blu-ray. Please can anyone help.

physic, when I mount your tsMuxeR_2.2.3(b).dmg its greyed out on my finder side bar as a drive with ../install… and has no eject button after that. I have to launch Disk Utility (Mac OS X 10.8.5) in order to unmount it/ eject it. Thanks.

How to create a 3D MKV file from a 3D BD?

This option is referring to create blu-ray structure from 3D MKV. Use MakeMKV or similar to generate 3D mkv file, which then can be used in tsmuxer.
MKV must contain mvc and avc views in them for this method to work. SBS or OU are not supported by tsmuxer.

As a long time XBMC user, who has just made the switch, I can highly recommend the Mede8er MED600X3D.
Plays everything flawlessly, including 3D MakeMKV and latest tsMuxerR 3D ISO's. The main reasons I changed to the Mede8er was for 3D playback and flawless HD Audio. ie. HDMI DTS-HD MA / True-HD pass-thru, and flawless playback of 192/24 HDTracks Audio etc.

Hi, thank you physic for the latest updates to the program. I would like to ask for a feature:

Currently, the "start mux time" can be entered in h:mm:ss.mmm format. It would be great if it could be entered in 45KHz ticks format. This way I would be able to set the exact value I want.

For example, retail BDs usually have a "start mux time" of 0:00:11.6506666666 which in 45KHz ticks corresponds to 524280 (in decimal) or 00 07 FF F8 (in hex). Currently there is no way to enter such value. So if there's a possibility to enter the "start mux time" in 45KHz ticks, either in decimal or in hexadecimal, it would be perfect.

I need this option because I remux retail Blu-rays a lot (keeping original structure, but changing the main movie .m2ts file). This procedure requires some editing in the .mpls files afterwards using BDEdit application. The editing won't be necessary if I can input the exact same start mux time the original .m2ts has. I guess this is the reason why this feature as it is was introduced. I believe with the change I propose it would be perfect.

Got my A-400 today! Its playing my tsmuxer 2.2.3b remuxed Cars 2 3D bluray ISO (In 2D only as I only have a 2D TV) and there are no video or audio hiccup gap issues that would come form Disney's multi branching Bluray 3D movies. Good so far. I did test my original Cars 2 3D Bluray ISO and at the 1:50 mark in the beginning of the movie, is the half a second (In the blink of an eye) hiccup multi-branching issue. I just hope that tsmuxer can continue to fix this issue. My Cars 2 3D is in DTS-HD MA 7.1. Since its remuxed, I saved 15gbs of space.

When I First mount my Cars 2 3D ISO, and go into the playlist folder and highlight and drag and drop the 00800.mpls, it looks as if its draging all of them into tsmuxergui and then tsmuxergui pops up with a red "!" stop sign and I click OK.
Error Popup: Can't detect stream type. Filename: "/Volumes/Cars2/BDMV/PLAYLIST/00800.mpls"

Then on the second try, I drag and drop in 00800.mpls into tsmuxer input files and it works correctly reading the main english movie of 00800.mpls of Cars 2 3D.

I have noticed after tsmuxergui had remuxed Cars 2 3D.iso, I have mounted it and can see a 6gb extra 00001.m2ts file and that its not playable. The 00000.ssif and in the ssif folder is a 00000.m2ts. I wonder what it is? Seeing as I remuxed out the main 3D movie with no menues.

Is there a manual for tsmuxergui?
What are the following:

INPUT tab:
Continually insert SPS/PPS AR?

GENERAL tab:
Mux VBR, is this correct for 3D Bluray ISOs?
Use Sync I/O?
Blu-Ray audio PES?

BLURAY tab:
Add blank Playlist for cropped video?
3D Setting: use base video for right eye?

dont understand why this happen, while with old version was all ok!
For example i want to have only the video, my audio Language and subtitle files only!
So:

- I extract the "SRT forced" file from the movie file (example: mkv file) using MKVExtractGUI2.exe

then with tsmuxer:

- I open the movie file (example: mkv file)
- I remove, ALL except "movie and my Language" (i remove also all subtitles) from "tracks"
- then i add the "single SRT file" and the program say that i alread have this file...!!!

how is this possible if i deselct it from "tracks" and i add as a new file??

With tsmuxer 1.10.6 dont happen!!!!

Can you please check this?
thanks

Someone at last read what i write?:confused:
Hi Blackwalker. I believe I've noted the same?

If I open a MKV file, which contains video + audio + PGS subtitle tracks, with tsMuxeR, it reports an unrecognised track ("Unsupported Format") and displays only the original video + audio tracks (subtitle track not recognised).

If I then use MKVExtractGUI2 to extract the PGS subtitles track, as a .sup, and try and add that to tsMuxeR, I get a "File already exists" error dialog.

The same thing happens if I do it the other way around (add the PGS track first, then try and add the MKV).

It appears for some reason the only workaround is to extract all 3 tracks using MKVExtractGUI2, and then open all 3 individual track files to get them into tsMuxeR.

The bigger question is why the PGS subtitle track in the MKV is "Unsupported format", however if I extract it to a .sup file it will then happily open in tsMuxer as a PGS subtitle track?

version 2.2.3(b)
- Add 3D MKV support
- Add PCM inside MKV support
- Add PCM inside VOB support

Hi physic. Related to post above, why is it that the PGS subtitle tracks which are originally recognised by tsMuxeR (when opened from original Blu-ray disc), are "Unsupported format" when opening a MKV file that contains them?

If I take a .ISO created by tsMuxeR (with video + audio + subtitle track), and use MakeMKV to convert to MKV container, then try to convert back with tsMuxeR, the subtitle is "Unrecognised format".

But if I use MKVExtractGUI2 to extract the PGS subtitle track, it is again readable by tsMuxeR?

Also... testing the new tsMuxeR 2.2.3(b) opening of my 3D MKV files shows that the True-HD Audio tracks are also being excluded as "Unrecognised format". eg. Monsters University.
All the 3D MKV's which have DTS-HD Audio are opening OK (with only the PGS subtitle track excluded as "Unrecognised").

Ideally to confirm MKV compatibility, we would be able to convert 3D titles both ways, between MakeMKV .MKV format and txMuxeR .ISO format (and back again).

It's because mkvtoolnix/makemkv discarded true-hd core during mux into mkv.

This is an old doc translated in English. I'm not sure it is correct, and it is certainly not up to date, but it's better than nothing:

tsMuxeR v1.8.8b
===============

How to use tsMuxeR from the command line:
-----------------------------------------
We need to create a file with the extension .meta. This file lists the files you want to multiplex.
In the first line of meta file can be specified additional parameters that apply to all tracks. In this case the line should begin with the word MUXOPT.

The following lines indicate a list of tracks and their parameters.
The format is as follows:

<code name>, <file name>, <parameters>

Parameters are comma separated. Each parameter indicates the name and value.
Example META file:

V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC, D:\media\test\stream.h264, fps=25
A_AC3, D:\media\test\stream.ac3, timeshift=-10000ms

In this example one AC3 audio stream and one H264 video stream are multiplexed.

Additional parameters of audio and video tracks:
------------------------------------------------
fps - For video and subtitle tracks you can define the fps (see example above). If fps is not specified, it is determined from the stream.

level - Allows you to overwrite the field level in the H264 stream. For example, you can change the profile High@5.1 to High@4.1.
Note that it only updates the header. The H264 stream may not meet the requirements of a lower level.

insertSEI - Parameter is used only for H.264 video. When activated, it does the following: if the original video does not contain SEI picture timing and SEI buffering period, then the info is added to the stream. This option is recommended for better compatibility with the Sony Playstation 3.

contSPS - Parameter is used only for H.264 video. When enabled, and the original video doesn't contain cyclic repetitive elements SPS/PPS (when imported from MKV it can be recorded only one time at the beginning of the file), the SPS/PPS will be added to the stream before each key frame. We recommend that you always enable this option.

Note: The video player Dune HD can not decode a repeated SPS component in x264 streams, perhaps this is an error in the current firmware.

delPulldown - For video streams. Deletes pulldown flags of the track. Attention! When using delPulldown usually a new value fps is required, different from values in the stream. For example, if the stream has fps=29.97, after setting delPulldown you have to input fps=23.976.

timeshift - For audio and subtitle tracks supported. Setting of timeshift may be more or less than zero.
Values in milliseconds (ms at the end) or in seconds (s at the end). This option allows audio track in time to move forward (positive value) or backward.

down-to-dts - Available only to DTS-HD tracks. Makes conversion DTS-HD into standard DTS.

down-to-ac3 - Is only available for TRUE-HD tracks with AC3 inside the nucleus (usually written on Blu-ray discs).

track - Starting with version 0.9.96 a reference to the track behind other containers. In this case, you must indicate the track number inside the container.

mplsFile - A reference to the MPLS file, where the media file is the current track. This information allows a more accurate file joining of the append operation. The option is only available for tracks that are inside M2TS files. The value indicates the MPLS file number.
For example: mplsFile=00048
The file is searched on media in subdirectories ./../PLAYLIST and ./../BACKUP/PLAYLIST

When you combine a large number of files of a Blu-ray Disc (10 and more), then this option is recommended. If you do not enable this option and the Blu-ray disc uses a playlist with connection_condition = 5, at every junction will accumulate desync of audio/subtitle to video about 17ms (from 0 to the length of the audio frame of current track).
This option is automatically filled in the GUI when you open a MPLS file.

Settings for text subtitles SRT:
--------------------------------
video-width - The width of the video in pixels
video-height - The height of the video in pixels
fps - Frames per second of video
bottom-offset - Depart from the lower edge while displaying text.
font-name - The name of the font used in quotes
font-color - Font color, for example, 0x00FFFFFF. Color can be defined in hexadecimal or decimal form.
font-size - The font size
font-italic - Italic display text
font-bold - Bold display text
font-underline - Underlined text
font-strikeout - Crossed text

In SRT subs also supported by the following text tags, the syntax and parameters which coincide with HTML:
<b>, <i>, <u>, <strike>, <font>. The font size default 3 (size of font-size in dpi).

For example:

<b><font size=5 color="deepskyblue" name="Arial"><u>Test</u>
<font size= 4 color="#806040">colored</font>text</font>
</b>

Supported containers:
- TS/M2TS/MTS
- EVO / VOB / MPG
- MKV
- MPLS (Blu-ray media play list file)

For a track number, run: tsMuxer <container file name>.
To start multiplexing open Windows Terminal, Far or another file manager and type:

tsMuxer <meta name of the file> <TS file name>

Names of codecs in the meta file:
V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC - H264
V_MS/VFW/WVC1 - VC1
V_MPEG-2 - MPEG2
A_AC3 - DD (AC3) / DD (E-AC3) / True HD (True HD only tracks with AC3 core inside).
A_AAC - AAC
A_DTS - DTS / DTS-HD
A_MP3 - MPEG audio layer 1/2/3
A_LPCM - raw pcm data or PCM WAVE file
S_HDMV / PGS - subtitle format presentation graphic stream.
S_TEXT/UTF8 - subtitle format SRT. The text file should be in unicode. Any formats: UTF-8, UTF-16 (little-endian, big-endian), UTF-32 (little-endian, big-endian).

Options of tsMuxeR in cmd line MUXOPT
---------------------------------------
The parameters of this group force the entire flow as a whole, rather than on a separate track. Options are separated by space.

--pcr-on-video-pid - Do not provide a separate PID for PCR, use an existing video PID.

--new-audio-pes - Use bytes 0xfd instead of 0xbd to track AC3, True-HD, DTS and DTS-HD. This is in line with standard Blu-ray.

--vbr - Use variable bitrate

--minbitrate=xxxx - Sets the lower limit vbr bitrate. If the stream delivers a smaller bit rate then NULL packets will be inserted to hold the limit.

--maxbitrate = xxxx - the upper limit vbr bitrate.

--cbr - Muxing mode with a fixed bitrate. Options --vbr and --cbr should not be used together.

--vbv-len - The length of the virtual buffer in milliseconds. The default value is 500. Typically, this option is used in conjunction with --cbr.
The parameter is similar to the value of vbv-buffer-size in the x264 coder, but is set not in kbit, but in milliseconds (with constant bitrate they can be counted at each other). If you have self-encoded a x264 file with constant bitrate, for more smooth broadcasting to the network you are encouraged to make the same (or less) setting than in the x264. On virtual buffer overflow relevant errors are written in the log.

--bitrate=xxxx - Bitrate for fixed bitrate muxing mode.
Values --maxbitrate, --minbitrate and --bitrate are indicated in kilobits per second. You can use rational numbers separated by a point.
For example: --maxbitrate=19423.432

--no-asyncio - Not to create a separate thread to write output files. This mode only sets the flag FILE_FLAG_NO_BUFFERING. This somewhat reduces the record speed, but allows you to see the amount of output file as you work.

--auto-chapters = nn - Insert a chapter every nn minutes. Only in the blu-ray muxing.

--custom-chapters = <line parameters> - Insert a chapter in the field. Only in the blu-ray muxing. A string of parameters is as follows: hh: mm: ss; hh: mm: ss, etc. Semicolon listed timestamps, semicolon separated list of time stamps a new chapter to define. The line should not contain spaces.

--demux - In this mode selected audio and video tracks are stored as separate files. The processing paths are superimposed. All selected effects (such as change of level for h264) are processed. When demux, certain types of tracks always get changed on storing into a file:
- Subtitles in a Presentation Graphic Stream are converted into format sup
- PCM audio are saved as WAV files. Also automatically splitting into several files, if the size of WAV file exceeds 4Gb.

--cut-start - Trim the beginning of the file. Value should be completed "ms" (the number of milliseconds), "s" (seconds) or "min" (minutes).

--cut-end - Trim the end of the file. Value should be completed "ms" (the number of milliseconds), "s" (seconds) or "min" (minutes)

--split-duration - Cut off in time. The time specified in seconds. The length of each part will always be a little less than imposed values because gap file processes only key frames (or limits of audioframes if there is no video). It is controlled that the next valid gap should not exceed a specified value.

--split-size - To cut output file size. The length of each part will always be a little less than imposed values.
Values should be written using one of the following prefixes:
Kb - meaning specified in kilobytes (1000 bytes).
Kib - the value specified in units of 2^10 bytes.
mb - the value specified in megabytes (1000000 bytes).
mib - the value specified in units of 2^20 bytes.
gb - the value stated in gigabytes (1000000000 bytes).
gib - the value specified in units of 2^30 bytes.

tsMuxer does not use external filters (codecs).

Update 3: The remuxed Cars 2 3D iso (29GB) on a 64GB USB 2.0 Flash drive attached to the A-400 still freezes at the same spot as it did when it was streaming from my iMac. About 1:04:00 into the movie. So, it seems, tsmuxer is doing something to the remux and messing with the near end of the movie.?

This is an old doc translated in English. I'm not sure it is correct, and it is certainly not up to date, but it's better than nothing:

Thank you , maybe there will soon be a new

dont understand why this happen, while with old version was all ok!

Can you please check this?
thanks

The bigger question is why the PGS subtitle track in the MKV is "Unsupported format", however if I extract it to a .sup file it will then happily open in tsMuxer as a PGS subtitle track?

i'd like to hear something form the author, if possible!
thanks :)

Hi physic. Related to post above, why is it that the PGS subtitle tracks which are originally recognised by tsMuxeR (when opened from original Blu-ray disc), are "Unsupported format" when opening a MKV file that contains them?
Technically mkv required a little bit more processing (code writing) for some formats (PCM/PG e.t.c) because mkv is very compressed container. In any way I just finished this task. It will be included to the next release.
