Just tested MPC (09022006), results:

-MOV[AVC1+AAC]: finally works! :cool:
-MOV[SVQ3+AAC] (http://media.cgnetworks.com/cgfilms/ads/noitulove.mov): +/- 1fps. (The Radeon X800 Real-Time Demos (http://www.ati.com/developer/demos/rx800.html) are also MOV[SVQ3+AAC])
-MOV[SVQ3+MP3] (http://pcmovies.ign.com/pc/video/doom3d/doom3_051004_qthigh.mov): no crash, but CPU @ 100%, no playback.
-furthermore; I discovered the new MP4/MOV splitter is capable of splitting SVQ1,SVQ3, but not CVID. Here (http://www.cinenow.com/us/vob-trailers-5.html) you will find an example of a MOV[CVID+TWOS] file. (too bad the server is offline, so I uploaded it to RapidShare (http://rapidshare.de/files/12877939/dolby_city__CVID_TWOS_.mov.html))
Audio formats like TWOS,QDM2,IMA4,ARAW it won't split either I guess (just yet?).

The main reason I was still using the Elecard MP4 Demultiplexer for my DSFP is because of it's capabilities of handling those HD-MOV trailers, but the downside of that story is that the Elecard splitter seems to read the entire file before splitting (kinda like the same thing when you're trying to view SVCDs without the CDXA Reader from Gabest). Gabest's MP4 Splitter doesn't need to.
But as of now it seems Gabest's MP4 Splitter is fully capable of handling those HD-MOV trailers too, and so I would really like to know if their's gonna be an update soon for the "standalone" MP4 Splitter?

I've just tried your compile of the stand-alone MP4 splitter with some high-def MPEG-4 AVC+6Ch AAC in .MOV files.... Seems to work fine in both MPC and GraphEdit ;)

At Gabest: Imo we have to completely get rit of the QuickTime Splitter. Is it possible to also add support for 3GP[H263+AMR] files, besides the media formats posted above that is, to the MP4/MOV Splitter? I'm sorry, seems it already works great with the standalone splitter. I guess it was a merrit kinda thing, because QT Alternative still kicked-in when the internal MP4 Splitter was disabled (in MPC and Zoom Player)

At Gabest: Imo we have to completely get rit of the QuickTime Splitter. Is it possible to also add support for 3GP[H263+AMR] files, besides the media formats posted above that is, to the MP4/MOV Splitter?For those (hopefully few) users who require support for Sorenson video, etc (in MOV), they will of course still require either QuickTime7 or "that dodgy" Cyberlink filter/splitter in QT Alternative!

That said, Nero has a couple of direct-show filters that can play all kinds of audio and video streams in .MOV too!

Last build of MPC (2006-02-09) is b0rked imo.

I rolled back to 2006-02-07. The problem in last build is that i couldn't see subs if buffering was turned off (i.e. 0 pix ahead to buffer). It was working with buffering on.

In previous builds it works either way (as it actually should :P).

I experienced the same, and the workaround is, switch and re-switch the sub (if multisubbed), or explicitly enable the sub.

As for my mirror site, I'm currently doing that all manually, and I sometimes don't notice updates in deep subdirectories on celtic_druid's server. I'll find a better way (like automatic scripts / cron jobs), so please no hard feelings, after all, celtic_druid is doing all these hard works just out of good will...

Well I've tried it and it seems to work (well) only on avi movies, on other format (mov, wmv) I get an error "GetCurrentImage failed, hr = 80004001"

Maybe I miss something but it could be nice to be able to set a start and end time.

This is free software, but not meant for general use.

The files here are cvs versions provided for testing, compiled by celtic_druid (with a few exceptions). They are possibly buggy and/or unstable.Are the external filters allowed to be used in a package? Or is this really for testing purposes only, and they're gonna be final soon with next updates?

Too bad the OGG Splitter still isn't capable of splitting Theora. Also the mp3 splitter (or rather the "MPA Splitter") still seems to show incorrect time duration of VBR MP3 files.
But there's good news too; I can see the MPEG Splitter can now also splitter AVC1+AAC :)
And although CPU is at 100%, MPEG TP files seems to playback pretty smooth now

That's just my note to make it clear that the files are "beta." Not celtic_druid's comment. The author of those filters is Gabest and they are GPLed, so you're absolutely free to use them according to the license. Needless to say :)

Too bad the OGG Splitter still isn't capable of splitting Theora. I tested that too last night, and my conclusion is, this is actually OGM Splitter even tho the name is OggSplitter... isn't it? I thought this would be a good alternative for old OggDS, that has not been updated for a long time.

Hi,

Greetings and many thanks to gabest and celtic_druid for fixing the VMR9 renderless problem.

Tested a few mpeg2 ts files with dscaler5 decoder and the deinterlace modes are now properly displayed, but not with built in mpeg2 decoder. Is this a known problem?

The renderless mode is still slow, achieving only half the frame rate compared to VMR9 windowed mode, and with many more dropped frames. VMR9 renderless works fine in graphedit and zoom. Does anyone have similar experience?

I think the problem with softsubs when subpic buffering is disabled, is fixed now.
Plus if you once uncheck "Subtitle | Enable" the internal sub renderer is now disabled by default even after you restart MPC,
just like VSFilter's "Misc - Hide subtitles"

did you recognize the fact, that AR signalling won't work, if you set the renderer to overlay?! If you switch back to system default within mpc [ must be vmr7 windowed, if I remember correct] than everything is as expected...

and about the internal mov/mp4 splitter...

if I set quicktime decoding to dshow and enable gabest's internal splitter, my pc just hangs with a very loooong delay but disabling the internal one, so haalis splitter is used everything is fine... nothing to worry about - just meant as a sidenote.

It is rather odd, because when the same MPEG-4 stream is muxed into the .MP4 (or .MOV) container, it is displayed correctly!

Same too for MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 streams in MP4 (or MOV)

FFdshow's filters don't seem to be working correctly with Sorenson Video 3. They seem to be okay with Sorenson Video 1 though ;)
