Hey when I mux an AVC MP4 and SRT subtitles nothing appears when I play it back in Quicktime. Is this a SP MP4 only program?Try re-muxing your .MP4 to .MOV using QT7 Pro and playing it again!

Alright so I re muxed it to a mov file and then it just played a green screen. This wouldn't work for me anyway because I need it to be in AVC format for my psp. Isn't there just a simple answer why it's not woring, like I am missing a file?

Hey when I mux an AVC MP4 and SRT subtitles nothing appears when I play it back in Quicktime.
Why would you like to use this player ? :sly: There are some others good players you know...
@Bond : I think that when we mux a srt file with mp4box into a mp4, this tool transforms the srt file in ttxt format.

nope...but your answer speaks about 3gp whereas Synergy asks something for mp4. Anyway, it's not important. :)

I've found a bug :(
When you try to extract an MPEG-4/SP/ASP or AVC stream from an MP4 file the "Extract Track".... "in RAW format" and "to new MP4 file" options operate the wrong way round (ie: the RAW option creates an MP4 file and MP4 option creates an RAW file).
Plus when you try and change/switch between the RAW and MP4 output options YAMB crashes...
Cheers

Good... :p

ooOo yeah, you're right. My mind is going... ;) I've seen also that some remove/clear functions don't work properly in mux tab...>_<

Yamb or MP4box ? If it concerns MP4box, did you use my own build or Celtic_Druid build ? Test both and tell me what's happen. Thanks. :)
And yesterday, I forgot to mention one thing : if you want to change output folder for the mux, you need to make a double click on the edit area to open the SaveDialog box... :thanks:

I've just installed YAMB v1.3 using your "setup.exe"... But when I tried muxing and de-muxing I got this: -

EDIT: I don't seem to be able to use YAMB at all with your build of MP4Box.exe :(

isn't that error message rather self-explaining?
SeeMoreDigital
1st October 2005, 12:30
isn't that error message rather self-explaining?Agreed... It might be to some...
Does this error message mean "libmmd.dll" is missing from YAMB or from Kurt's MP4Box.exe compile!
This error only shows up when installing Kurts full version of YAMB (ie: with his MP4Box compile). When running YAMB "lite" (for want of a better expression), this error message does not appear!

This error only shows up when installing Kurts full version of YAMB You're already halfway through the thinking process. It would be quite a logical conclusion to assume something is wrong with that mp4box build. You can easily verify that by launching that particular mp4box version from the commandline.. if the same error pops up, you know what it is, and then that's the point where you post "hey, your package is missing libmmd.dll".
IIRC libmmd.dll is a dll from the intel compiler.. you just need one in your system but without it, a bunch of apps I know that have been compiled with the intel compiler cannot be executed.

i extracted the yamb only package to my mp4box folder and i got a "access violation at adress blabla in module yamb.exe. read of adress blabla". after clicking ok yamb seems to open normally. :confused:
i use win2000

Indeed...I forgot to put libmmd.dll in the whole package. :o So, redownload it (same link as above) or grab the library here (http://kurtnoise.free.fr/Yamb/installer).
@Bond: pretty strange...did you use a win98 or older system before ? if yes, wait the non unicode version.

Please add function in Yamb for split files on base cue sheet information. This function very useful for me.
Kurtnoise
3rd October 2005, 07:34
Are you sure that cuesheet support is in mp4box ?
mpioner
3rd October 2005, 08:41
Kurtnoise13
It doesn't need mp4box to support cuesheet. It need YAMB to get information about track lenght from cuesheet and split it then.
Kurtnoise
3rd October 2005, 10:07
Well I don't understand...did you include cusheet in your mp4 file or do you have 2 files (cuesheet + mp4 files) ?

YAMB 1.3.0
when startup this message popuped
---------------------------
YAMB
---------------------------
Access violation at address 004BD05D in module 'Yamb.exe'. Read of address 00000348.
---------------------------

I use the mux function,but the mp4box does not appear in commandline:
---------------------------
YAMB
---------------------------
-add "E:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Wv.smv" -new "E:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Wv.mp4" doesn't exist.

I have to Clear the import and re-add it,click the mux,then it works fine.
here the setting in ini file:
[YAMB]

overwrite=1
mp4box_sdout=0
keepsys=0
mp4box_path=F:\Program Files\VideoTools\mp4tools\MP4Box.exe

Yes... I've found that whenever I try to use YAMB without the "command line" option box checked/active, I get this: -
http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/7218/yamberror4id.png
As soon as the "command line" option box is active... all works fine :)
Plus....
Is there any particular reason why YAMB's "Extract" GUI still says "Track" rather than "Track ID": -

I know it's only a little issue, but it could be less confusing to newbies!

I have 2 files cuesheet + mp4 and want to have many files on output, like in this program _http://www.ezsoftmagic.com/mp3splitter_joiner.htm, but in mp4.
...and else it'd be cool if tags will be filled from cue file if they exist

@azd : it's fixed now...
@SMD : it's added but it could change in the future...
Here is the new build (http://kurtnoise.free.fr/Yamb/Yamb-1.3_20051003.zip).
@mpioner : mmh, ok. Could you provide some cuesheet files and I'll look into this but I can't promise something and it's not my priority. The next big things concerning the development are building my own parser and enabling a video preview.

Kurtnoise13, maybe a lot of work, but maybe its also relatively easy to do:
if the gpac mp4 parser is maybe also useable for your preview function: what about making yamb deal with the gpac lib directly and not mp4box?
Kurtnoise
4th October 2005, 07:02
libgpac is not able to create a video preview...or I missed something.
@SMD : and ? Same error message when you try with the yamb_test version ?
And it could be great if some other people can test this pre-version...
