kurt, please add support for Serbian language(code: Ser). Thank you.

Kurtnoise

Serbian is already in the list...and 'Ser' is not in the ISO code.

Yeah, ISO code for Serbia is CS, I suppose.

I've just discovered that when you manually enter a "pixel aspect ratio" value, it's not written into the bit-stream :(

fixed (http://kurtnoise.free.fr/Yamb/Yamb-1.5_20060319.zip). ;)

btw, more than 100000 hits for this thread...

Wow, its over 105,000 hits. An excellent testament to an excellent application I'd say :)

There was an issue with the cmd+chapters in the last build. It's fixed (http://kurtnoise.free.fr/Yamb/Yamb-1.5_20060322.7z) now...

I think I found a little bug...
I added 1 video track and 2 audio tracks into mux dialog, then I removed the 2nd audio and readded it because I forgot to set delay.
Muxed file ended up with 3 audio tracks, seems like the track removal didn't work (I can see it also from generated cmd line)

Yes...Known bug which hasn't been fixed.

Try the new build (http://yamb.unite-video.com/Yamb-1.5_20060401.7z)...and tell me if it's ok for you. :)

It appears to be locking-up during the importation of largish (I tried a 696) MB video sources?

Otherwise, try to replace the new MediaInfo.dll by the previous one from the last build and tell me what's happen.

Does anyone have the same issue ?

@SMD & all : try the new one (http://yamb.unite-video.com/Yamb-1.5_20060402.7z)...:)I'm suffering from the same problems!

To confirm.... I am able to generate muxes but only if I don't wave my pointer over the location box during the (raw .h264) video import stage.

I don't have any problems at all with the last version of 1.4.

I just need a sample of ~2Mo...I'll concatenate it several times. ;)

Btw, it will be nice if some other people can test and post some feedbacks concerning this trick. I can't reproduce this behaviour personally. Thanks again...

I can't reproduce that on my system all muxes I tried. Sample was small tho, and encoded with latest X264 version. Also I do not have M:/ partition so I could not check if that is part of issue. I noticed that Yamb sometimes reacts funny for non roman signs mayby "&" letter in patch is problematic?

...Also I do not have M:/ partition so I could not check if that is part of issue....After transferring the 696MB raw .h264 video stream to my desktop area, when I load it into YAMB and wave the pointer over the location box, YAMB freezes...

Once the same .h264 video stream is in the MP4 container, YAMB is uie happy to work with it...

SMD: a short sample of your h264 is always welcome...:) FYI, Yamb is able to cut raw avc stream you know...

SeeMoreDigital
3rd April 2006, 15:15
I've carried out a few more tests....

In my case, raw .h264 streams above 250MB stall YAMB. Below this size, it can take several seconds before MediaInfo displays the stream information and allows access to the "OK" button.

Ok...I'll get back to you with an other tool to test MediaInfo loading. Maybe it's a problem with memory.

There's no problem when the raw .h264 video stream is muxed intothe MP4 container!

So, the problem comes from the dll...:( btw, I don't know what's going on because for the moment you're the only one that reported this issue. To resolve this you can switch to older versions as I said previously.

May I ask what tool did you use to encode in raw ?

May I ask what tool did you use to encode in raw ?Hi mate,

I extracted the raw .h264 stream using YAMB 1.5 from an encode I generated using Recode2 ;)

Well, having started using the commandline mp4box some time ago, I found it very difficult to use and worse, it would only produce 25 fps output. Unfortunately, it seems YAMB has continued that behaviour with .264 input and .mp4 output.

The input .264 file is VFR. What should I do to prevent the CFR 25 fps output?

In this case, why not using directly the mp4 file ?

Finally, I'm able to reproduce this bug. But only with raw streams from Nero Recode...:scared: I'll submit a bugreport to Zenitram.

Hopefully Zenitram can work on a fix, seeing as though RAW .h264 files worked okay with MediaInfo.dll v0.6.1.1

In this case, why not using directly the mp4 file ? Indeed.... Now we've established the problem is with MediaInfo.dll, the best course of action is to de-mux to MP4 instead of RAW.

My source is a native AVC matroska file. The AVC track was demuxed using mkvextract gui to raw .264 (is there any tool that can extract it directly to mp4?). Then I made an mp4 using the mp4box gui. The original avc track was VFR; I don't have access to the original mp4.

Even if the original avc track was CFR, unless it just happened to be 25fps, there is no way to either set a framerate or preserve the original frame timestamps through this process.

Kurtnoise
4th April 2006, 18:38
Well...you can set a framerate but for raw stream. With yamb, check Import settings in Options tab then load your file. You'll see import settings window. Here, specify the frame rate...but actually this is pretty hard concerning vfr because you must repeat this task for each segments and concatenate each parts.

There is already a feature request which has been submitted to gpac dev. So, cross your fingers.

btw, I can try to "improve" this by creating a batch mode if you want. Let me know...

bond
4th April 2006, 19:01
i heavily doubt your raw stream is vfr, i guess more you lost the vfr info when demuxing from mkv to raw

also its obviously possible in both mp4box and yamb to set a framerate different from the default 25fps...

Kurtnoise
5th April 2006, 16:49
A small update (http://yamb.unite-video.com/Yamb-1.5_20060405.7z)...:)

What's new:
Command for import settings has slightly changed. That's why you need a fresh MP4Box compile ( http://kurtnoise.free.fr/mp4tools/ ).
Improve errors detection.
fix a typo for concatenation.

SeeMoreDigital

That's better...

It does not lock up anymore with RAW .h264 streams :D

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to mux one of my old encodings [h264 file] into mp4, which was previously into avi [I wasn't aware of megui that time]. First I extracted the raw h264 using Yamb and then tried to mux it into mp4, but its producing quiet a smaller file than the original. Original is 892mb & muxed one is 684mb. When I played the muxed mp4 in MPC, the length shown in bottom right cornor was correct, 02:35:52, but when I forwarded towards the ending, it ended abrubtly at 01:59:22. So somehow it is not muxing the whole file. I cant figure out what is causing this. I'm using the latest version of Yamb & mp4box. Oh & I did put the exact Framerate by enabling import settings. So can u guys give me any suggestions??

Thanks in advance.

Firstly: After inputting the RAW .h264 stream into YAMB, did you "manually" set your required frame rate?

Hi Guys,
First I extracted the raw h264 using Yamb...

You have to use avi2raw for this and then muxing it with yamb.

CheersHi SeeMoreDigital,

Yes, I was changing it manually coz at first when I just muxed it without any setting changes, it changed the framerate to 25 all by itself, while original's framerate is 23.976, but then I was using February version of Yamb. I found latest Yamb only yesterday when I saw this thread. & that seems to be fixed now as the framerate remained same of the muxed file.

But the bottomline is that whichever way I'm trying, it's still producing the smaller file which is ending abrubtply.

mmh...I can't reproduce this bug myself with the last compile. Which MP4Box version did you use ?

Maybe it's a bug in extraction routine of MP4Box coz this tool is able to extract streams (even avc) from AVI without problems.

Probably the last build (http://yamb.unite-video.com/Yamb-1.5_20060411.7z)before the 1.6.0 release...

Added negative values for A/V delays for import settings.
Color Themes tweaking : surely an useless feature but I hope that some people like it...^_^
