I'd like to have some different samples to test my new functions. I'm looking for especially 3gp/amr/qcp/h263/evrc/smv files. I think with QT Pro we can produce such things but I don't have the pro version. :D

i have a small question, can i mux .sub files in mp4 container ripped from dvd using vob sub rip which comes with gknot 0.35, and will this work in mpc,zoom and showtime players?

By Options I would say muxing, splitting, joining, or extracting :)...In other word, what kind of feature did you use exactly because "View or Edit command Line" and "View Extra Info" don't use mp4box...

I see.........

I was simply trying to mux, 1No AAC-LC audio stream (in .MP4) and 1No MPEG-4/SP video stream (in .MP4) together....

Defunkt's previous build seemed to work okay!

Confirmed...but it's not YAMB fault. :D

Maybe defunkt has forgotten something during the compilation...I think I'll include the Sharktooth's build in the next YAMB package. It will be more safer for all.

And my last request : could you (yes you SMD :p ) create a short sample with ND video + 1 aac stream + subtitles. The last thing is more important. I would like to have the vobsub stream directly in the mp4. Thanks...

a .mp4 file with nero digital avc video and subtitles stream (both done with recode 2)
muxed with an aac audio track, all in an mp4 container, will the audio ,video and subtitles be still visible and available?

why would you want to mux an aac audio track into a recode generated file if you can just create the audio with recode as well?

Though, at this point mp4box doesn't support all kinds of streams into a Recode generated mp4.. that very issue has been discussed ago in this very forum just a few days ago.

Recode's audio has low volume even after the volume patch,that's why i mux aac stream created with belight in mp4 container along with avc video!

I am getting audio synch problem when muxing. I want to convert avi container to mp4 container. This is what I did:

1. Generated x264 video with mp3 audio in avi container. This file plays fine in WMP, MPC, WinDVD, and VLC players.

2. Used YAMB v1.3 alpha1 v2 to extract video and audio into separate MP3 and H264 files.

3. Used BeLight to convert MP3 to ACC (new file has MP4 extention)

4. Used YAMB v1.3 alpha1 v2 to mux H264 and MP4 files into single new MP4 file with audio and video. Tried with and without interleavig (0 ms).

5. Resulting file plays in MPC but audio and video are not in synch.

What am I doing wrong?

i assume you didnt set the correct framerate (by default 25fps is used)

also there is no need to reencode from mp3 to aac, as you can place mp3 in mp4 too (best would be to encode from your original source to aac directly of course)

Thanks. You are correct, I did not set the frame rate. Where do I set it? I do not see any options in the YAMB GUI so I assume I need to edit the command line. What do I need to add to the command line to set fps to 29.97? I did a search for mp4box commands, and it looks like I should add "-fps 29.970". But that did not work when I added it to the end of the command line.

EDIT: I found the option for setting frame rate in YAMN GUI, on Import button settings. But it audio is still not in synch.

Changing the frame rate through the import
button does not change the cmd line at all.
Your file should still be 25fps.

On the other hand, adding "-fps 23.976" works
fine for me.

On a side note, it'd be nice if you could post
Yamb revisions along with known working
Mp4box revisions. For example, Yamb v1.3
alpha1 v2 doesn't work with Mp4box 0.4.0.
That took me a good hour to figure out. :mad:

Thanks for the feedback. I generated a 25fps file and split it and muxed as per steps above and it worked fine. I will try a 23.976 fps file and see what happens. For some reason, the 29.97 fps file does not work.

I generted a 29.97 fps file and it worked also. I must have made a typing error when I edited the command line before. It would be nice to have a Frame Rate box whose value was saved in an ini so that it was not necessary to modify the command line each time. I am using the MP4Box version that came with YAMB 1.2.1 installer version (I am not sure which version that is) and YAMB v1.3 alpha1 v2.

Weird. I had problems using the version that came with 1.2.1. Oh well, at least it works now.

It's for a good reason if I decided to break this link... ;)

Alpha versions are only useful for people who have troubles with the YAMB borders. Otherwise, use the 1.2.1 or wait the next update.

Can I make a couple of suggestions for when you get back from vacation?

The main one is that it'd be awesome if YAMB would remember what was typed in the command line pane when you flip back and forth (including the automatic flip to mux). That way I don't have to keep reentering fps. (I just noticed that your alpha has a method of selecting frame rate, cool.)

Also, when started with multiple monitors side-by-side, it always starts in the middle of the two, ie, half on one and half on the other.

It's a really cool frontend though, I really like it. =D

mmh...If I understand correctly, you would like to have your previous command line as soon as you reload Yamb ?
Actually just from tab to tab. Like, change the command in mux, click on splitting & joining, and the command line changes to reflect the split, then click back to mux and any customizations made before are lost. It'd probably be a little easier if the command part only reset when something was changed or loaded in the GUI portion.

Ok...I see.

For Joining, there are no options, so it's easy. :D
For Splitting : no problem. I can save the settings choosen.
For Muxing : it might be too hard. Especially with the Import Options applied to different streams.

All in all, I can add also a line to save the last Tab viewing. Thus, as soon as you reload Yamb, you will be directly in this Tab.

Great to see the PAR and bitrates listed... very useful. But is there any reason why the bitrate can't be displayed under the "Global" option too?

Why ? because by default mp4box doesn't provide this info. You need to specify the trackID to have it. If you want to have it also in "Global", ask to Jean Lefeuvre to add this trick directly in -info command line. :)

Currently, if you generate an .MP4 encode with VOBsubs using Nero Recode2, you are unable to add/remove AAC audio tracks and/or create chapters without YAMB/MP4Box.exe crashing....

still opens in the middle for me - the view/edit cli box does stay on the primary moniter tho.
