Update your MP4Box build.

No, don't think so...

Is it YAMB or MP4Box which fails ? Any extra infos ? (check View extra Info in Options tab).

doh! yamb 1.5 failed, installed 1.6 and it muxed successfully :)

Hi Kurt,

Given that MP4Box and your latest compile of it now includes .M1V and .M2V elementary stream support along with basic .TS stream support, is there any chance you could add the file extensions to YAMB?

Cheers mate

Feature request ^^:
Kurt could you add the capability to tag 3GPP and 3GPP2files with AtomicParlsely?
It supports the full set of 3gp metadata, including language setting (I would ask to include to AP's guys the capability to add multiple tag in multiple language, it's supported by the standard, I think)
you can find useful info about the command lines type --3gp-help or looking in the docs.
And another important AP related stuff: what about including the "-F free" to delete the useless padding free atoms?
well, tnx1
P.S.: QT shows 3GPP metadata, but it has problem with the "אטילעש" characters. Now I've an old version of QT 7 (the 7.0.3), I'll try do upgrade.
P.P.S.: there is a new UTF-16 compatible build, in their download page, it would work with the windows typefaces, and infact the file shows right character in AtomicParlsey, it's QT that screw them....

I added m1v & m2v only for the moment. I'll add TS streams as soon as MP4Box will be ok with importation of avc streams.

Regarding Tagging here some strange Experiences from me:

1) If I tag pictures with mp4tag, they are not shown in all programs like my shell extension. If I tag the pictures with atomicparsley with --artwork, they are shown in all programms I know
2) If I tag everything with atomicparsley, my chaptername change all from Chapter 1 to Chapter x to the name of the video => Every chapter has the name of the video.
3) When I tag with the nerotagger the same problem with the chapters
4) When I tag first the picture with atomicparsley and then the rest with mp4tag everything works fine.

1) If I tag pictures with mp4tag, they are not shown in all programs like my shell extension.
I can't reproduce that...works fine here.

2) If I tag everything with atomicparsley, my chaptername change all from Chapter 1 to Chapter x to the name of the video => Every chapter has the name of the video.
Works fine for me.

So, which versions of mp4tags & AP did you use ?

btw, this does concern YAMB...

Video format WMV3 not supported - recompress the file first
Feature Not Supported
Error: Feature Not Supported
Error: Feature Not Supported

:( WTF!!!

any solutions? i don't want to reencode the file :/ there is no way to force the mux like in mkvtoolnix force vwf with a command line like --engage allow_avc_in_vfw_mode (h264 need this if encoded with virtualdub)

anyway, yamb can't mux vwf too, but at least mkvtoolnix do

why wmv9 (wmv3) codec isn't supported anyway

WMV is not an MPEG format, therefore it is not embeddable in an MPEG-4 container. MP4 and MKV are very different formats, don't confuse them.

Wrong...check the Doom9 MP4 guide or YAMB website.

Im muxing my AacPlus-file (32kbps/44kHz) to a 3gp-container but when i listen to the audio it sounds downsampled (with quicktime or on the phone).

If Im muxing an Aac-file (64kbps/44KHz) i dont get this effect and it will sound like the original file.

Does anyone know why??

/best regards joynes

It's because quicktime (and phone too) doesn't support SBR (way of encoding high frequencies in AAC-HE/AAC+ ), so it plays back only lower frequencies. It has nothing to do with muxing ;)

I just got Yamb 1.6 and I need a little help. Here's what I'm trying to do.

I have a quicktime file with 5.1 sound and I'm trying to take the 5.1 sound from the quicktime file and make it a 5.1 ac3 file for use in DVDLab.

I was told Yamb could do this, but I have no idea how to use Yamb.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Open your mov file in Extract Tab (check the drop-down list to choose .mov extention) then check "Extract Track ID xxx in raw" where xxx corresponds to the id from the Audio Stream. With MP4Box infos, this is materialized by type "soun"....

Thanks for the response. I was able to extract the AAC file.

Any idea how I can convert that to a .ac3 for use in DVDLab?

hi,

is anyone able to mux this trailer (http://images.apple.com/movies/touchstone/the_prestige/the_prestige_h720p.mov)
into mp4? I tried MP4Box_20060708.zip and the recent build from celtic_druid.

yamb says:
[10:19:35] : Importing & Writing streams...
[10:19:35] : Error importing C:\Mo'town\the_prestige_h720p.mov: Invalid IsoMedia
[10:19:35] : Muxing failed.

it's the first trailer here where yamb failed (spiderman 2 for example worked)...

Problem with header I think...You can remux this file with Avidemux. I've got no problem here with it.

SeeMoreDigital

Indeed.....

The problem is with this pile of crap: -

http://i1.tinypic.com/1zywjms.png

.... Once the "TimeCode" information is removed (using QT7 Pro), YAMB has no problems re-muxing the file to .MP4

avidemux worked, even if i have jerky playback with coreavc (v0.0.0.4). Nevermind, no problems with TCPMP...

I have 19.5Gb(fs = ntfs) raw x264(loseless, rev. 537 by bob0r) file. I want to mux it to mp4 or open it by avisynth for recompress. YAMB 1.6 writing 3.9(not 3.99)Gb and breaking. Elecard codec pack produce not readable mp4-file. Already i haven't any idea.
Sorry for my english.

Sorry for the delay but I'm in vacation.

1/ YAMB is just a GUI. So, this is a MP4Box behaviour...
2/ Which MP4Box version did you use ? Try to update it.

@All : If you are a YAMB user then there will be a surprise in september. ;)

Kurtnoise,

I'm having a problem with atomicparsley (v0.8.8) and the latest yamb...when I select the program and open a file to "remove tags", atomic parsley crashes. If I retag the file (after it crashes, because it will let me tag it then) then I can't copy the tagged file to my ipod using iTunes. I've just had no luck getting tagging to work on my iPod video files. Am I missing something here?

Kurtnoise
15th August 2006, 12:35
Hi,

You use AP from my webpage or directly from the Official Website ?

Could you post your command line ?

chipzoller
15th August 2006, 17:41
I fixed the problem why I wasn't able to copy videos to my iPod, because I had the resolution set to 352 on the X instead of 320. But I noticed the following...

"C:\Program Files\MeGUI\tools\AtomicParsley.exe" "C:\red-headed league\red league.mp4" --title "The Red-Headed League" --stick TV Show --TVNetwork "MPI" -TVEpisode "The Red-Headed League" -TVSeasonNum "1" -TVShowName "Adventures of Sherlock Holmes"

I tried with AP from the official website and then from your site.

It tagged the file as a movie when I view the properties in iTunes. I should also mention that using the AP GUI I've been able to tag all my files successfully.

Kurtnoise

All issues should be resolved in the next release...

*Should be* coz the GUI has been rewritten from scratch and I'm debugging it...

Is there a release date planned for the next version of Yamb?
Thanks for all your great work!

Kurtnoise
16th August 2006, 18:10
September for sure...but for the date I really don't know.

Anyway, I'll post a preview especially for D9 users to play with it when I'll update the website (because I'm slow to write/update guides. So...)

The only thing I can do for the moment, it's to post some screenshots. So, if you are interested...:p
