Mux problem! MP4BOX crash :(
I've been using MeGUI to do .mp4 (x264) encodes of my game captures (avs) without sound ... many encodes without problem
Now, i want an .mp4 with sound, then i encode with MeGUI to raw (.264) without problem
I encoded an .aac file with aacEncPlus (I tried with FAAC also)
When i want to mux with YAMB15 or MeGUI, MP4BOX crash!
When I use YAMB to extract from .mp4 i don't have problems ...
I tried YAMB1.5 and the last versions of this topic ...
What am i doing wrong? :(
There are a sample with files that works?

Try with different version of MP4BOX, some builds won't work correctly.

YAMB 1.6 is out (http://yamb.unite-video.com)...:)
Changes from version 1.6 to 1.5 :
Add:
- Abort/Cancel process in the log tab.
- Priorities for the command tasks.
- New tab dedicated to files tagging (enable it in Options).
- Negative values for A/V delays.
- Timecode for split part supports milliseconds (i.e hh:mm:ss.ccc)
- Chapters viewer/editor.
Improvements:
- Options tab has been completely revisited.
- Command for import settings has slightly changed. That's why a fresh MP4Box is required [http://kurtnoise.free.fr/mp4tools/].
- Import errors detection.
- Color themes tweaking.
Update:
- Import settings for aac and mp3 files have been updated.
- MediaInfo.dll updated.
- Update some languages entries.
Bugfixes:
- "Remove" function for Audio & Video files in mux tab has been corrected.
- fix a typo for concatenation.
- fix a small thing for tracknames.

thanks Kurtnoise13 ! I have just viewed YAMB 1.6 and I haven't used it yet !
Req-1 : fps option for mux tab . If source files aren't Isofile , mp4box will choose 25 for fps , it will cause "un-synch"
Req-2: -delay . Mp4box haven't seem to support this feature actually yet . I am said that MKV support "delay time" better than MP4 but MKV isn't more famous than MP4 .Some pocket -player can't play MKV
Req-3: "View or Edit MP4box command line" is chosen and I choose a source file ,destinate file name will appear at output-textbox but it don't appear at "command line window" . .

I just hold out hope that someday, perhaps in some alternate dimension, YAMB will get drag & drop support. =p

uuh ? you should...:)
Req-1 : fps option for mux tab . If source files aren't Isofile , mp4box will choose 25 for fps , it will cause "un-synch"
desync with what ? I haven't had a such problem.
Req-2: -delay . Mp4box haven't seem to support this feature actually yet.
Are you sure ? I'm just checking the code and made a quick test and that seems ok.
Req-3: "View or Edit MP4box command line" is chosen and I choose a source file ,destinate file name will appear at output-textbox but it don't appear at "command line window"
mmh, right.
I just hold out hope that someday, perhaps in some alternate dimension, YAMB will get drag & drop support. =p
This feature is already included in YAMB 2.0 branch...:) I know this is a missing feature in these last releases. If I've some time, I'll try to include it but I need to change some code...and you know I'm lazy. ;)
And finally, the last message dedicated to Doom9...;) Many thanks for the huge work here and there and I appreciate sincerely your support and each news for the new builds but (yes, there is a but...^_^)
YAMB 1.6 has an abort/cancel option in the log tab, allows to set a process priority for all tasks, has a new tab for all tagging options, supports negative audio delays, splitting supports milliseconds (although: you can only split at I-frames anyway) and there's a chapter viewer/editor.
Yes, you're right here but I introduced this feature because MP4Box is also able to split audio streams you know. So, keyframes interaction is not needed for this kind of files. ;)

Desync with the audio? And yes, I do have the same problem too. It keeps converting a 23.976 FPS raw .264 file to a 25 FPS Mp4 file and there is no option in yamb to convert or override the default fps.
PS : Oh, and I no longer see "view commandline parameters" option anymore. Is this gone now?

Of course, there is one...;) In Options tab, check "Enable Import Settings" and reload your file. You'll see a new window with different settings.
PS : Oh, and I no longer see "view commandline parameters" option anymore. Is this gone now?
No...Options tab --> General -> MP4Box then check "View or Edit command line".

Hi Kurt,
The "Remove N-VOP" option via "Import Settings" seems to be functioning the wrong way around.... ie: when you check it, it keeps the N-VOP's in :scared:
Here's a 30 second (or-so) N-VOP sample (http://celticdruid.no-ip.com/test/nvoptest.7z) from Celtic_Druid

Yes that sample is okay... But that's not the point I was trying to make.
YAMB can indeed generate MP4 muxes with N-VOP's. However, it seems you have to "tick" in the "Remove N-VOP's" box in order to "keep" them.

Audio stream is shorter than video (regarding length)...So, you can't resolve desync easily. Did you still have the source ? If yes, post a short sample here...

After some tests, the best for you might be to keep the wmv.
I agree with Kurtnoise13,
but if you want let say to remove logo or make another correction then use graphedit
ftp://www.eb.enterpol.pl:eb@www.eb.enterpol.pl/lalala.JPG
and and VDM.
Sample lalala.wmv converted to .avi 23MB

I still have a good avi file If I use VD with -800ms delay .And then, I convert wmv codec to x264 codec, desynch will appear again . Those are files which I post at #726. Yes ! I didn't upload the good avi file .
eb! Can you tell me where "blocks" can be taken from in Graphedit ? I don't still master GraphEdit. Thank you!
I will listen the file which eb uploaded . Now, my computer is in trouble, can't hear any sound . I will use another computer

Hi thuongshoo,
Do you have Micro$oft's "Stream Editor" installed (it comes as part of Windows Media Encoder 9)?
If so, you should be able to de-mux the WMA audio and WMV9 video streams from out of the WMV container and re-encode them separately!
Cheers

I'm sorry! Actually I uses VD MPEG-2 instead of VD.
At first, I loads wmv file into VDMPEG. This program still can open wmv file. I chooses Audio/Direct stream copy, and chooses "save WAV". And then, I converts this file to aac file with Belight
Sencond, I chooses Audio/No audio. Choose video,...and choose x264, choose values for x264VFW. Choose "save AVI" .
Third, I uses YAMB to extract AVI file and I have a .H264 file. And then, I merge .H264 and aac file . At this step, I try to try.. but desync
If I do like that, MPC say that duration of mp4 is about 2h20'20'' .Yes! MPC can't also know how duration is :D. Perhaps, Kurtnoise13 was cheated by MPC :D
I also try to change framerate, choose delay time with Belight but no success
To SeeMoreDigital: no, because its name contains $. If I use that program, there are so many multimedia program on my computer. Yes! I uses VDMPEG2, Belight, Behappy, I can still convert files seperately
I really want to convert mv files because I have so many this type of file :D
I will test new mp4box. Thanks Kurtnoise13! Thanks to everyone interested in my trouble.

duration of lalax264-1.mp4 is 0:03:32 ,credit : AVIcodec :D
http://www.sendspace.com/file/sk3yi4
duration of lala3.m4a is 0:03:31.Yeh! equal to 211 seconds credit :AVIcodec again :D

Run YAMb, choose Splitting & Joining tab, open lalax264-1.mp4, choose "Split from", and type "0" and "211" . I have lala264-1_0_211.mp4 file
At YAMb's window,
-choose Mux tab,
- add lalax264-1_0_211.mp4
-add lala3.m4a, MP4Box Import Settings window appears, type -1000 at Media-Delay-textbox
-click Mux button
Ok! I have lalax264-1_0_211_1.mp4 file. MPC says that its duration is 02:02:48 and I willn't able to use Seek-bar
If I use 0 for Media Delay textbox, MPC will say 0:03:31
and with 1000 ,MPC say 03:32
. I don't know Which Mp4box or Mp4 container is bad
Run mkvmerge , open 2 two files which are said earlier. At Track-listbox, click mp4a, type 1000 for Delay. I'm very surprising at this. Audio is ealier than Video but I must use a positive number .Hit ctr+R .I have a desired file .
My friend is right. MKV supports delay fuction better than MP4. I dont' know why pocket player only support mp4 container. They are wrong! error :D

Hi guys,
I know this is a stupid question but how do I fix a time delay between the audio and video in my MP4?
I have extracted both video and audio files to separate MP4 containers, loaded them both into the Mux section for YAMB and set the Media Delay to 300000 (I know that's a lot). However when the muxing is done there is no difference to the video. Audio still has the same problems :-( What am I doing wrong?

However, could you please add those standard (Nero Digital) brand names "nds?" and "ndx?" with readable drop downlist? i.e. "ND Mobile (AVC)" for "Nero Digital Mobile (AVC)" and "ndxm" will be automatically set for mp4box cmd. I can't remember these, if Yamb can provide this feature, it must be good! :)
Besides, if Nero Digital is not the desired brand name, user could also key in other brand name which works just like the "Track Name" option in Yamb.

The option is greyed out, it won't let me select it at all. :-( I get that sometimes too, not sure exactly why? I have found that even when it's greyed out, sometimes it will still let you enter a frame rate, and it works.
What kind of video are you trying to mux, specifically, is it in raw format or already in an mp4 container?
