What about subtitles, if you load the subtitle in the subtitle tab you can embed them by activating 'Embed subtitle in frame' and adding them to the queue by pressing the '+' button. Depending on the format the input is in you will be able to select color, position&co after you activate 'Embed subtitle in frame'.

but i cant change bitrate for audio..
You did activate 'Audio->Reencode audio stream', didn't you?
Important info needed to fix&reproduce bugs:
What Hybrid version did you use?(Windows/Mac/Linux 32/64bit + versions number)
What did happen? If an error message came up what did it exactly say?
What did you do to get to the bug? (best thing is a detailed step-by-step guide so that I can reproduce the problem)
Debug output would be helpful. (Config->Internals->Handling->Create debug file; enable it, directly after starting Hybrid)
If possible a small sample file would be great.
All these infos might be needed to reproduce the problem and reproduction is needed to find a fix. :)
If you find a bug, I'll try to fix it and send you a link to a hopefully fixed version for testing.
source: http://www.selur.de/support
----------
since others might want to know this too (jouchan asked via PM):
Assuming you selected:
Main->Audio Handling->Custom
1. switch to Audio Tab
2. activate Audio->Main->Reencode audio stream
3. select the Audio format you want to reencode to: Audio->Main->Audio Encoding->Encoding->Audio format
Assuming you selected a format that does support the specification of a target bitrate (FLAC for example doesn't)
4. select the desired bitrate: Audio->Main->Audio Encoding->Encoding->Bitrate (kBit/s)
5. add the current settings to the audio queue by pressing 'Audio->Main->+'
This way you tell Hybrid to reencode the current audio stream into to the selected 'Audio format' with the selected 'Bitrate (kBit/s)'.

The audio is cut as it should, but the video is not cut.

I have tested it, and it's related to avisynth processing - with avisynth processing the movie is not cut, without everything it's ok

Old versions will crash the same way, since that is a bug in tsMuxeR. :)
-> it does not like anything but ASCII characters -> remoce the 'ş' from the filename and it should work

Hello Selur,
thought of giving your tool a try and I gotta tell, it's pretty good :) There are a lots of options, selections, tools and I'm satisfied.
It's the tool with a huge filesize huh? unlike other tools, it looks big :)
I'll give it a try, encoding and will tell you more about the usage and all :)
it uses a lot of tools in the background and I dropped binary compression since it tends to cause false-positives from virus scanners,.. (-> if you run i.e. upx over the binaries they, most of the time, shrink to 30% of the current size)

One more thing selur, I used a MeGUI profile earlier, like x264 Slower with 2599 bitrate, it took like, 4 hours for 1st pass and 6 hours for 2nd pass.
But in Hybrid, the first pass took only less than 1hour and 2nd is like 3 hours.
Total time taken was only 4h 30 mins.
But megui takes 12 hours :O
I checked the quality and it's good too mate.
Why is this? Both use 100% CPU and stuff.

two things that are probably different:
1. Hybrid always sets the vbv-restrictions (unless you select: Profile->Unrestricted) but that should not cause any speed up
2. on a 64bit System Hybrid will use a 64bit x264 version, might be that MeGui is using a 32bit x264 version,...
-> it's probably the difference between using a 32bit and a 64bit version, other than that Hybrid (for Windows) and MeGui both use the x264 binaries from http://www.x264.nl/

yeah, that could be it Selur.
I tried the Global settings thing and I'm happy with it
I am trying to encode a full bluray now and will tell about the output later.
One problem I'm seeing is like, can't we do all the extracting and everything at the job queue? Like, even extracting the subititles and all with the jobs queue? And, is there a cancel button when an extraction of a subtitle or detecting autocrop is running? I can't find any.
No there is no canceling for subtitle extraction or autocrop and no they can't be done during the queue since:
- the subtitle size is needed for 2pass size prediction
- autocrop needs to be done first so users can normally adjust them and the Profile&Level restriction that influence a lot of things can be adjusted.
-> if you don't want Hybrid to do autocrop checks of extract subtitles, don't tell it to do them in the first place. ;)
meshaun
7th May 2012, 09:05
You got me wrong Selur, that's not what I meant mate.
When I extract a subtitle or do the autocrop, there is no button to cancel the process right? When encoding a full bluray, we are talking about 30 .pgs subs which each is about 30MB. So, when I want to cancel the extracting, I have to close the whole Hybrid program.
Same with the autocrop feature too. There is no cancel button for the ongoing process.
I know there is no cancel button, but I don't don't get why you want one,.. (btw. iirc. subtitle extraction can be stopped by pressing F12 ;))
There is no option to abort AutoCrop atm., but I can add one for the next release,..

Found a small problem.
I loaded a bluray, and tried Autocrop, in both mplayer and avisynth. Both doesn't detect any black borders. But there are black borders.
Hybrid does Autocrop always through mplayer. :)
You could:
a. change Auto crop thres/mod/count
b. crop manually
other than that without a sample I can't really offer more assistance.
Cu Selur
meshaun
7th May 2012, 12:10
Explain option b to me a bit please.
You can set the cropping values manually either in avisynth style or in MPlayer style (Crop/Resize->Main->Crop style)
Both styles allow you to specify which part of the image should be displayed/cropped.
Alternatively you can enable 'Crop mode' next to Preview (only available if 'Enable cropping' is enabled) , than you click on 'Crop View', pause the preview, read the tooltip and crop with a visual help.
