You can use BeHappy with aften to easily convert a dts track to ac3. For dts-hd, just get the core dts and then feed it into BeHappy using either directshow via avs script or directly using NicDtsSource.

Did you try using the SEARCH and search for "dts core?" I believe the utility is mentioned earlier in this thread.

Does EVODemux support rewriting PMT timestamps when rebuilding the parts of an EVO file like TSRemux? It seems the two EVO files are merged but only half of the movie can be watched because there isn't any continuity between the two files .

This is more likely due to sequence_end_code (MPEG2), end_of_stream_rbsp() (AVC), or end_of_sequence start code (VC-1) being present rather than the clock change.

I can do two little suggestions for the program:
1) Add a copy (to clipboard) contextual menu on the main window (althougt it already does with CTRL+C)
2) Add an option to add to the filename the number of calculated frames (needed in the script). This is useful because it can happen someone forget to write down the number after closing program.

I think it would be more useful to have a new option checkbox to log to file and an edit box to enter the log file location and name like the current Output folder. Or, automatically name the log file and use the current Output folder as the log location. Something like that.

Personally i wouldn't need a log, and for me it would be more comfortable to take the number directly from the filename (less files in the dir without the log and no need to open an additional program to read the number from the log), but as an optional addiction to my proposed option, for me it would be fine.

@Pelican9,
I'd like to ask some questions about your EVOdemux (i'm using 0.626). I've a bunch of AOBs (accordingly to EVOdemux it contains a MLP track):
Opening file ATS_01_1.AOB
Reading...
File size: 1023 Mbytes.
It contains 1 audio stream.
MLP audio stream 1 found!
First PTS = 00000294 (+7ms)
Substream id = A1
Standard MLP stream (up to 6 channels)
Quantization length = 24 bits
Sampling frequency = 96 kHz
Channel arrangement = Lf + Rf + Ls + Rs + C + LFE
Dynamic range control = -10,6371 dB .. 8,4282 dB

Sampling frequency = 96 kHz
Channel arrangement = Lf + Rf + Ls + Rs + C + LFE

1) If I demux it, it is demuxed as "ATS_01_1_ATS_01_2.LPCM.stream.01.mpa". Is the MLP converted to LPCM or MPA or is the extension wrong and is it just the MLP file?
2) Does LPCM demuxing from AOB files work correctly?
3) Could you make EVOdemux open source? I've been talking with neuron2 lately, and he's willing to add AOB support to DGIndex, but he has no specs, nor any samples. (I've seen some specs, and will send him a few samples once i bought a dvd-writer to burn them) It would be great if you can work together.

MLP->LPCM needs a fully featured MLP decoder! Which is not available today in open source. It's only available if you pay a license for it.

Ok. But why has it LPCM in its filename?
2) I can't do that.
Just to be clear. I'm not asking about a MLP->LPCM conversion. AOBs contain either MLP or LPCM. Does it demux LPCM correctly?

If the DVD Audio contains MLP track only I cannot demux LPCM from it.

a question to Pelican9.
i just bought battle of the bulge hd-dvd and it seems to have 3 evobs not the usual 2. your great program only reads a max of 2 evobs tho :(
is it possible to change that as it might be something that is going to happen on more disc's maybe?
dont know of the techical side of doing that tho..
thx anyways as i have had great success with it and have backed up about 5 hd-dvd's now onto dvd-rdl discs to save the originals..... which by the way i find do scratch very easy and i lost disc 2 of planet earth due to this already.

Hi guys,
I was desperate to combine the EVO files of some movies which cannot be successfully combined with the current version of EvoDemux because the timestamps of the 2nd EVO file are "strange". So I've written a little tool which corrects the timestamps of the 2nd EVO file. After running this tool, EvoDemux can successfully join the EVO files.
http://madshi.net/OffsetPTS.zip
OffsetPTS v1.0, freeware by madshi.net
Offsets the time stamps in an evo/vob file.
Usage:
(1) OffsetPTS some.evo offset
(2) OffsetPTS some1.evo some2.evo
If you enter two files, OffsetPTS will adjust the time stamps of the 2nd file
so that it begins where the first file ends.
The tool seems to work fine for me. Tested on Rambo First Blood and The Fugitive. But still: Use it at your own risk... :)

Madshi, thanks for the program. I had a problem with the HD DVD version of Planet Earth since the EVOs are named diffferently, PEVOB001.EVO, PEVOB002.EVO, etc, where B001 is one episode, B002 and B003 are another, and B004 is the 3rd.
I was having a lot of problems joining B002 and B003 with EVODemux even though I edited the disc structure but your program made it easy.

The offset value which can be entered in case just a single evo-file is given is based on the 90 kHz-PTS clock so 1/90th of a millisecond.
Does offsetPTS also can be used for bluray m2ts files? as this is also packaged with 192 byte ts-packets?
It would be very useful if offsetPTS could also be used to concetenate ts-file-clips of AVC/H264-AC3-satellite recordings.

No, it's strictly only for PS (VOB/EVO) files at this point in time. I don't even know how TS/M2TS files work internally, so I don't know how to change timecodes there. What exactly would you need that for, anyway? To remove ads? Have you tried the "H264 Cutter"? I think it can already rewrite timecodes.

That's Pelican's decision, of course! The source code of OffsetPTS is contained in the zip. And I've no objection whatsoever to have it included in EvoDemux. Actually I'd like that cause it should save a processing step if it's done on the fly during "rebuild".

I got a problem with the framerate...
I got a movie that is 1h, 17min and 7seconds long = 4627 seconds.
4627 * 23.976fps = 110937
And the avs looks like this:
DirectShowSource ("q:\test\PEVOB_1_MERGED.VC-1.s0.vc1",video=true,audio=false,fps=23.976,framecount=110937)
LanczosResize(1280,720)
ConvertToYV12 ()
But that is way to short, it's about 1/4 of the movie.
Could someone help about that?

Haven't had the time to read the entire thread, but has anyone else encountered audio/video sync problems between the demuxed audio file (from the EVO) and the rebuilt EVO video file?
The problem persists after I converted the file with x264 (in MeGUI). The audio is in sync in the beginning but starts to become out of sync partway into the film.
It's not an issue with lengths either. Both the audio and the video are exactly the same length, but yet there is still a syncing problem. This occurs whether I use the original DD+ track or the converted AC3 track (using eac3to; incidentally I converted the track to DTS also but that track seems even more out of sync).
Anyone know what might be causing this? And any way to fix it?
EDIT: NVM. Found the solution in another thread. The problem is due to the Sonic Video Decoder. Switched to Haali --> WMV Decoder DMO and things work flawlessly now. Just have to wait 10 hours to reencode the video. XD

You know that you cant seek the grf with SonicVideodecoder?
Its normal and no Problem for encoding when you use the Framcountvalue
When you want to seek you have to remux VC1 into mkv first.
1.mux evo into mkv with gdsmux (from Haali)
2.remux mkv with mkvmerge and 23.976 Timecode
Also i noticed a many Times that Cyberlink shows wrong runtime on demuxed vc1...i dont care about
Encoding is always fine....

when I try
File async (blabla.ts) -> Elecard Mpeg2 Demultiplexer -> MainConcept H264/AVC Decoder
I'm getting : These Filters cannot agree on a connection...
A filterpack would be useful. Just the .ax and the .dll's if needed :)

Dont use mainconcept H264/AVC Decoder on Bluray/HDDVD H264
I made A few encodes with the SonicH264/AVC Decoder ,which is a newer Buld from the Maincincept SDKs..
i had always Problems
Use ffdshow/DGAVC ,or better SonicCinemasterVideoDecoder 4.2 or on Problematic Streams Cyberlinks Decoder
Demux the EVO with Evodemux
Create a grf on the demuxed .264
Filesource(Async)-SonicHDDemuxer-SonicCinemasterVideoDecoder
And as i say, when the grf outputs 29.976 fps use fps=23.976,Framecount=xxxxxx

I have:
a. The SonicCinemasterVideoDecoder 4.2 (.DLL) and SonicHDDemuxer 4.2 (.DLL) from Sonic Cineplayer 4.2 package.
b. The sonicmpgdmx.ax, SonicVC1vd.ax and sonicavcvd.ax filters from CineVision 2.0.2 Beta package.
Which of the above is preferable for decoding vc1 or AVC/h264 video through graphedit/avisynth?
The SonicVC1vd.ax give me an option in graphedit to output in YV12. I must use it or i must convert to YV12 in avisynth?
