See separate thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81505). You can easily change the Vorbis bitrate by setting the quality. Since Vorbis is VBR, you are not guaranteed a bitrate though, only approximately.

I'm considering to add vorbis to RealAnime. You can help me to consider it by using paypal ;) lol jk
[edit]
Vorbis is on it'S way to works. It output .ogg which add some difficulties. I will also support also the new video codec Theora once RealNetworks release Theora encoder plugins.

About vorbis:
* bitrate from 80kbps to 500kbps
* cannot be muxed in RMVB container
* cannot be encoded in parrallel with RV codecs
* produce OGG container
such a pain...
[edit]
RealAnime works with VFW and Vorbis now:
demo: http://www.detritus.qc.ca/realanime/vp6_vorbis.mkv
Still don't work with RV.

going on second beer... :(

If it can't be muxed in RMVB container then why does Producer support it? How was it able to play with the video?

VP6 is encoded with AVS2AVI, Vorbis with producer with OGG output, then muxed by mkvmerge to matroska. RealNetworks supprots it coz it's free ;)

I really beginn to love real anime :D
If there was only a proper auto-resize algorythm which could keep aspect ratios :P

a long long time ago.... realanime was just a batch tool to encode in real :p
seams you have made evolutions...mutations? ;)
btw why vp6??? you plan to encode your anime in vp6 instead of rmvb?
Sirber

no. This is just for fun. A strange fun you may say :eek:Originally posted by Razorblade2000

The sources for RealAnime miss the "output" filder where I store all my binaries. This folder can be ZIPed on request, but it usualy contain the next version (currently 2.20). Ask at your own risk :D

I just Downloaded your program “Realanime 2.0” I had been using AutoRV10 but one day the program started not working properly. I had been in touch with Dark Angel (developer of the program) and wee could not determine the source of the problem even after reloading it on 3 separate computers. I questioned him about other programs similar to his and he highly recommended yours. I installed Realanime and made some rough attempts to compress some .d2v files that had been converted with dvd2avi and also tried an .avi file I have received some errors of various kinds but they are in French such as (Fichier introvable). I am trying to compress 5GB files to about 1GB and store them on my hard drive for future viewing. Is there any English Documentation on how to set up and use Realanime? I know there are many choices but I would like to stick with Real Video 10 and Real Audio 10. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and donations will be on the way if I can get it to work properly—I know your program is probably excellent but maybe I am just a Klutz at making it work. For future correspondence I will be happy to use a Forum if you will guide me to the proper one. Thanks
Bill

News update:
I'm curently working on vorbis support. I will have to separate audio and video encoding for it. I will by the way add some "source detection" to better handle it (Marcel). Also, MKV and OGG muxer/demuxer will be on it's way with FFDSHOW/VFW settings.
I expect a new release in 2 weeks if everything goes well.
Razorblade2000 (the beer donator ;)) will (I hope ;)) start working on predicted filesize for CQ and adaptive resizing.
It's also been reported that RealAnime don't handle well WMV files.

Work on RealAnime is going well. I'm less depressed like last weekend. I'm now stuck at:
Invalid codec specified for the ogg file writer.
Tryed RV10 + Vorbis :angry:
Seems a jobfile error. I have so many "exception" check :(
Stay tuned!

Technology demo!
RealVideo 10 (CBR, 600kbps) + vorbis (80kbps)
http://www.detritus.qc.ca/realanime/rv10_vorbis.mkv
Note: file size is bigger than other demos, I will have a bitrate bug :( Audio bitrate is not substracted to video one. I might stay that like this, since it's the same for VFW codecs.

Vorbis is now working with some minor problems. The main engiine works in the perfect situation. I'm now at implementing OGM and MKV de/merge.
I'll also add some avs scripts from Shinobu and razorblade2000 for D2V management. I winder if razorblade2000 will have finished his "Predicted Constant Quality" before the release of 2.20... ;)

When going round casually, the automatic field shift had updated.
http://www.geocities.jp/aji_0/
One of the new feature:
- A manual edit disregard version is added to Avisynth (warpsharp loader).
If the source currently attached to exavi-0.1.8plus5.1.1.lzh or wmvout0.5plus5.1.1.lzh is incorporated in RV10 frontend, I will feel that it means that smooth CFR can be made from the accuracy of 60fps. :o
I tried afs_55.lzh on Avisynth, it checked moving by the following samples.
LoadPlugin( PluginDir + "warpsharp.dll" )
LoadAviUtlFilterPlugin( PluginDir + "afs-.auf","AU_afs")
Video=ConvertToYUY2(Video)
Video=ConvertYUY2ToAviUtlYC(Video)
Video=Video.AU_afs(16,16,32,32,192,128,24,128,256,3,true,true,false,false,false,false,false,false,false)
Video=ConvertAviUtlYCToYUY2(Video)
Aren't there those who are some interested in this mounting? :D
I feel that it is early rather than it waits for 120fps input correspondence of Producer....:rolleyes:
EDIT:
In the present situation, the above cannot be outputted, if there is no AVIUTL. It has become some VCM codec only. :(
Sirber
4th September 2004, 15:35
Want me to add this to RealAnime?
lunaticmoon
4th September 2004, 18:50
Does it also ask me? :confused:
If that is right and the needs of Sirber are suited as before, I will want you to mount. I think that you may not mount if the needs are not suited.
However, it may be desirable for any to mount if RealANIME aims at an Anime native.
(Mounting of a form like the middle output plug-in system of RealAnime as an my individual's needs is desirable. If it is plug-in form, I may also be able to participate in development freely.)
btw, Isn't a hybrid material problem related in NARUTO and OnePiece? :)
EDIT:
Since the means of making AVI of the accuracy of 60fps made from AFS+AVIUTL read into RealAnime can also be taken, it is not a hasty talk.
Sirber

Both anime are already IVTC and encoded to xvid. I don,t do any filtering.

Hmm...
I tried making AVI of the accuracy of 60fps made from AFS+AVIUTL read into RealAnime.
RMVB reproduced by rapid traverse was done as a result. :(
It seems that I have an unmanageable problem.
If that proposal mounts, it is likely to become a troublesome thing. (++
Sirber
5th September 2004, 16:59
If you find a good solution to that problem, I'll be glad and happy to add it to RealAnime :D

2.20 RC1 will be soon avalible:
New:
* XviD, VP6 and Theora support
* Vorbis support (80kbps - 500kbps)
* Bicubic Resize based on Aspect Ratio (by Manao and Razorblade2000)
* AVISynth 2.5.5
* FFDSHOW configuration
* FFDSHOW/VFW configuration
Fixed:
* Convolution3D presets
* Save / Load settings
* Sipro now works (bad typo from Surreal UI: SPIRO)
Toto:
* MKV muxer / demuxer
* OGM demuxer
* Add more presets for resizers
* AutoCrop
Still buggy:
* Producer leak memory with AVISynth
Note on bitrate:
* RV and Theora: total bitrate - audio = video
* VFW: video + audio = total bitrate
* Vorbis: maximum bitrate is used in calculation, not average
Note on theora:
* Only work with vorbis
* Only work with 1-pass VBR
* Produce OGG output
Note on VFW codecs:
* XviD is not included with RealAnime
* VP6 is not included with RealAnime
Stay tuned! :D

Continuation...
I tried making AVI of the accuracy of 60fps made from AFS+AVIUTL read into RealAnime2.10 and RealBatch1.42.
RealAnime2.10;
RMVB reproduced by rapid traverse was done as a result.
RealBatch1.42:
RMVB is reproduced satisfactory. Smoothness also looks good a little from the original thing. However, reproduction load is heavy.
Are any ideas in this difference? :confused:
Smooth RV10 clip is wonderful. This was obtained neither in DropDupe nor other pre-filter. :)
However, a block noise is conspicuous, when it is too small, although size is made small. Load is heavy at the time of reproduction.It is thought that 2.5Ghz class CPU is required at least. :(
I became individual in general fortunate.:D

i can check your code if you want...;)

@damrod
i don't understand your point of view....
The meaning of this sentence was not understood. I am weak for delicate English nuance. :(
The problem of being main is as follows.
I tried making AVI of the accuracy of 60fps made from AFS+AVIUTL read into RealAnime2.10 and RealBatch1.42.
RealAnime2.10;
RMVB reproduced by rapid traverse was done as a result.
RealBatch1.42:
RMVB is reproduced satisfactory. Smoothness also looks good a little from the original thing. However, reproduction load is heavy.
Are any ideas in this difference?
The evidence otherwise thought of are two RMVB as a result. This is to be passed to Sirber later.
I think that processing is known by my post before this from the source of being main.
Please write, if something is required for others.
Although it is my amateur's idea, isn't it that RealAnime210 is processing as 60fps inside, and RealBatch142 is carrying out 30fps processing inside?
Sirber
7th September 2004, 00:17
RealAnime is capped to 30FPS. You can verify that with the .rj-something in C:\Program Files\RealAnime\temp while encoding. I'll release RC3 with max FPS at 60 to see if it helps.
[edit]
RC3 will take some days, so use that build:
http://www.detritus.qc.ca/realanime/RealAnime.exe
It's been harcoded to 60FPS instead of 30. Good luck :)
Razorblade2000
7th September 2004, 15:01
uuhmmm...
autocrop + adaptive resizing = bad combination
autocrop = crops of the black bars
adaptive resizing = will analyze the SOURCE video (which has the bars) and add new bars when resizing
I think this would happen... as far as i know
Sirber
7th September 2004, 15:59
So Adaptive Resizing + Autocrop is better?
Razorblade2000
7th September 2004, 19:20
you could first use resizing and then cropping... but all filters would be applied to the black bars too I guess...
but this could also be worth a try:
V=Mpeg2Source("C:\50_FIRST_DATES\50.d2v").Autocrop(0)
A=WAVsource("C:\50_FIRST_DATES\50.wav")
return AudioDub(V,A)
BicubicResizeMaintainingRatio(480)
function BicubicResizeMaintainingRatio(clip c, int nw)
{
ow = Width(c)
oh = Height(c)
nh = nw * oh / ow
nh = (nh / 4) * 4
return c.BicubicResize(nw, nh, 0, 0.5)
}
I think he'll only analyze the stuff AFTER the first return :-?
But some avisynth guru has to comment on this :D
(don't even know if my first "bugreport" was right...)
Sirber
7th September 2004, 19:30
That's Autocrop + resize. You'll loose the right AR (or the wrong one, depend on the source). In any case, this is not good.
damrod
7th September 2004, 20:17
realbatch1.42 use old max framerate value ie 30 fps....
i don't know how old producer cmdline handle 60fps avi source...
Sirber
8th September 2004, 02:05
v2.20 will be out soon:
New:
* Simple bitrate calculator
Fixed:
* Output set to 60 FPS max
* Matroska muxer
Known bug:
* Helix Producer and Avisynth leak memory
* Source *must* have built-in audio in case that involve external muxing
Todo:
* OGM --> MKV transcoder
* MKV Stream selector
* Resize presets
* Audio detection
These features will be final for some time. I only expect new releases for producer updates and other bugfix.
lunaticmoon
9th September 2004, 00:07
Continuation ...
I tried on RealAnime2.20RC2+(the local patch version to this problem) with AFS+Avisynth.
As a result, the phenomenon of a rapid traverse of RMVB of an output remained as it was.
I think that I will try also on RealAnime1.91 and RealBatch1.50b later.
Seemingly, it will be what as for the existing 120fps-ization the principle is different, and AFS stood on the view of not frame per second but field per second, and pursued the smoothness of video.
It may not be the problem of an output or Input fps.
P.S.
btw, Which developer of Helix Community should I next just choose about Helix bug report of an affair relevant to this? :(
damrod
9th September 2004, 18:46
btw sirber do you have problem with producer..???
when i encode a file it's ok then it begin the second and ...crash of realbatch1.5b....first time it do that...and now it often do that
i try re-register the activex dll but it continue the same...i really don't understand....
