I try HMDI only with my TV.. No sound at all. If I try the movie in XMB.. there is sound.. Don't know what to do now. What the difference our .ts (h264 + ac3) and the ts. in the bluray disc that we can buy ?

Here is my end all goal: Rip my HD DVD's so they will play on my Tvix 4100 media streamer. The Tvix reads the following containers: .mpg, MPEG2, .ts, .M2ts, .mkv. So, I have:
1) Ripped my .EVO files onto my hard drive (Perfect Storm HD DVD).
2) I then used evodemux.exe to get rid of everything except the DD+ audio stream
3) I then used eac3to.exe (in conjunction with graphical user interface version) to convert the DD+ to AC3.
My problem now is getting the AC3 audio track back into the .EVO file where the video is. The other way I could do this is to use TSremux first to change the whole file to .m2ts or .ts, and then do the audio conversion, but I still have the problem of getting that AC3 audio stream back into the movie file. Any help would be greatly appreciated (and please provide as much info regarding what I need and how to use it-I know many of you here are way over my head, but please have patience with me).

If your BD is in MPEG 2, there is no problem
-demux Video and one Audiosteamfor examble engl. ac3
-engl. ac3 > besweet > 6waves
- ac3 from DVD > besweet > 6 waves, if our DVD in 25fps in
the presetts you can say: PAL -> NTSC (25.000 to 23.976)
-comare the center Wave fron both ac3-track
- begin and end of the BD and the DVD are diferent in any
movies
-cut the 6 waves from your ac3 ( other language)
- use Sonic Audio Transcoder 6 waves to AC3
-Womble Mpeg Video Wizard 2006 > Tools > MPEG Multiplexer
- mux the Vodeo from the Bluray and the new ac3-track to
*.mpg
-*. mpg > TSRemux > *.m2ts
I have tested several progamms for muxing MPEG, Mpeg Video Wizard create a BD- copliante mpeg, i had many problems with other programms.
For BD with AVC or VC-1 codec i have no ídea, i have test many hours, The problem is to find a program.
The best results for AVC and ac3 i had with Mpeg Video Wizard AVC and ace to ts > TS remux > Bluray. The PS3 plays the Video fine Ac3 in the info but can play the sound correkt.
Mpeg Video Wizard has a lot options but i don`t know what they mean.

The video track is AVC so I need to use MP2TSME ?
What does it mean "and ace to ts > TS remux > Bluray" ? you mean "and ac3 to ts" ?
I have manzanita and it seems I need to create again a table but there are a lot of settings...
Should I:
Use the Tools->Demux and demux all streams
Swap old ac3 with my ac3 and remux them all into .ts
Use tsremux to transform in .m2ts
My ac3 is already modified from 25 to 23.976 fps

did someone try Encode CS3 ? DVDit pro HD don't output AVC, only mpeg2 :(
If you have a software (can be demo or trial) send me a PM and I'll test it.
There should be a new release of Scenarist 4.5 and Rhozet Coder 3 in september.. maybe that will help.

Can you tell me the steps to remux them *ALL* in MP2TSME ?

The gaps_in_frame_num_value_allowed_flag in the SPS must be set to 0 for Blu-ray H.264 streams.
I'm not exactly sure why an encoder would want to use gaps_in_frame_num_value_allowed_flag = 1. It appears to be a way to exclude a picture from being a reference picture.

I derived the AVC through evo demux - i do not think a new version of scenarist will ignore this flag being set.
Does anyone have an idea how to clear that flag ?
As for AVC and blu-ray -i think 'chicken little' is avc on blu ray.

AFAIK tsremux can't import avc & ac3 to mux them together. You need to import a muxed stream... mkv or m2ts/ts....
So what did you load into tsremux? Did you save an HDDVD stream (what format?) with evodemux and load it with tsremux to save it as a blu-ray structure (AVC+ac3)?

Hello!
I am wondering if the BluRay output from TSRemux supports subtitle playback (if subtitle streams are present in the .M2TS input) when burned as an AVCHD disc?
The reason for asking is that I have so far achieved the following:
* Split main movie .m2ts file from BluRay disc into ~4.3 GB chunks (dividable by 192) using HDBDSPlitGUI
* Run each .m2ts segment through TSRemux 0.18 selecting BluRay output and keeping all streams (including audio and subtitle streams)
* Burn output from TSRemux 0.18 as UDF 2.50 on DVD+R disc.
* Successfully playback DVD+R disc in PS3 with 5.1 audio
* Audio stream/subtitle stream selection is not available when playing the AVCHD disc burnt from the TSRemux output.
Is this as expected with the current version of TSRemux (0.18) ? Or am I doing something wrong?
If this kind of functionality is not currently implemented in TSRemux, are there any plans to extend the functionality of TSRemux to produce a more "advanced" BluRay-output, enabling audio/subtitle stream playback/selection when burned as AVCHD disc?

I ripped "Troy the Director's Cut" on HD DVD and it is in two files-I used Evodemux to put it into one large file first and I got the same error when it was half way through (in other words when it started the second half of the movie). So, I tried using Tsremux on just the second file alone and the "Index was Outside the bounds of the array" message pops up then as well. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I searched back through the thread and saw that some others had the same problem with mkv files, but I didn't see any answers. Thanks in advance.
Note: This same problem occurs with Twilight Zone HD DVD rip as well.

It seems that it's harder for my puter to play h264 (1080p) using the blu-ray structure created by TsRemux (PowerDVD7) (90-100% CPU)
than running the same movie from a .mkv- or .ts-file (Hali+CoreAVC) (50-90%)

Maybe this thread is better suited for my dilemma.
I've been trying to convert a 720p 23.976fps x264+ac3 MKV into AVCHD.
What I've done:
1 - Use MKVextract the mkv file
2 - Use ffmpeg with the following syntax to mux the h264 and ac3 into a m2ts file:
"ffmpeg.exe -r 23.976 -f h264 -i input.h264 -f ac3 -i input.ac3 -vcodec copy -acodec copy -f vob output.m2ts"
3 - Load the m2ts file into TsRemux018
4 - Uncheck "Use async I/O"
5 - Select "Blu-Ray" as output format
6 - Burn the output using Nero 7 (UDF 2.6) on a DVD+RW
7 - Pop the disc in my PS3 (FW 1.93)
Now, the disc is detected as an AVCHD DVD+RW. However, when I click on it, it leaves from the XMBand enters the Blu-rRy player but the screen remains black and no sound is outputted.
Did I miss something? Why isn't this working?

you'll probably find the resoluion isn't 1280x720 but 1280x528 or something similar.
also, you don't /have/ to burn udf 2.6 you can use an external usb drive and as long as the m2ts file is less than 4 gig (fat 32) and play it of the xbar (triangle = display all).

It is 1280x720. This is the stream info:
AVC - MPEG-4 AVC - High@L5.1 - 1280 x720
I also tried changing the stream to High@L4.1 but that didn't help.
I was under the impression that loading the m2ts from a usb key wouldn't give me 5.1... because it sure doesn't.

Some methods involved re-muxing only while others involved completely re-encoding. In the end, I was never able to get 720p h.264+ac3 to play on the PS3 when muxed with TsRemux.
I haven't experimented at all with 1080p yet since it's a waste of space given that my TV doesn't support it - I just want to get 720p working.
I have seen a working 720p (h.264 + ac3) AVCHD. It played fine on the PS3 with 5.1 sound and was simply amazing. I don't know how it was authored... :(

I finally managed to write a fully working AVCHD compliant dual layer DVD+R (mostly only using free tools, just the excellent XMuxer from Elecard is needed - and tools you need to decode EAC3 and VC1/H264). This disc has encoded x264 level 4.1 video (1440x1080) and 5.1 AC3 sound. Fast forward and backward works great (at least on the PS3, I am unable to test other BD player). The video and audio is in sync (from the beginning to the end), I had to set an aduio offset for this movie though (directly in the muxer)...
This is what I did:
First of all I demuxed the original .EVO using EVOdemux and transcoded the audio using eac3to to AC3 448 kBit/s and the video stream was reencoded with x264 using level 4.1 and resolution 1440x1080 with a bitrate of around 7.7 Mbit (audio and video conversion has been discussed thorougly in this forum, so I just refer what for parameters I used...).
Then I loaded the h264 file in H264Info alpha .11. I left all fields blank but set the aspect ratio (most probably "16:9") and the level again to 4.1 and the resolution (in my case "1440" and "1080").
Afterwards I used the Elecard XMuxer Pro 2.5.105 Build 70528 (most probably the Lite version will do also - which ist not that expensive - $60 against $100) in order to multiplex the h264 and the AC3 stream. I used the default settings, but choose to multiplex to a Program stream(!). In my case I had to set an audio delay, which can also be done with Elecard (given in milliseconds).
Now I have a program stream which I load into TsRemux v.0.0.18 (with async I/O disabled). TsRemux creates a AVCHD disc which I burned to a dual layer DVD+R, which plays perfectly in the PS3 (seeking, chapter jumping, fast forward and backward, stays in sync over the whole movie, is real 5.1 sound)...
I tried doing the ffmpeg way for multiplexing, but it seems that ffmpeg only sets the timestamp for very first frame of the video. And as TsRemux seems to be really only a _re_muxer, no new timestamps are generated. Thus the video playback is out of sync from the first skip or fast forward...
I also tried to create a transport stream (as is selected as default in Elecard), but TsRemux crashed for me when using such a stream.

Playing around with the idea of recoding all my old DV tapes onto BD/9, I encoded a test file with ffmpeg:
E:\>ffmpeg -i 9oct.avi -vcodec libx264 -b 6000 -g 12 -bf 2 -b_strategy 1 -coder 1 -subcmp 2 -cmp 2 -trellis 2 -me hex -qmax 33 -acodec libfaac -ab 64 -f mpegts
ffmpeg.m2ts -t 5
http://kensystem.com/ffmpeg.m2ts
It plays in mplayer + latest ffdshow albeit with some visual problems. However when I run it through remux the file size doubles (in this case) and the file cannot be played at all:

Hi, first off i want to say thanks for writng such a great program. the ability to stream streams and extras from BR movies is a tremendous diskspace saving feature! All has gone well for me until i ran into Stargate. there seems to be some sort of possible bug in the program, when converting to blruay disk format while leaving only the mpeg2 video and dts-hd audio track it chugs along fine until about 57 minutes is left in the movie and then it slows to a crawl. i have left it running overnight a couple of times. it eventually gets a memory error or something and aborts. i tried moving it to another computer that is faster and has more memory and after 24 hours got it to make it down to only 36mins left before it crashed. any chance for a bugfix? or maybe i could try to find an older version that might not have that same result?
thanks

Hi,
I converted an DD+ track from an HD-DVD to DD. Now I don't know how to bring the video-stream and the audio-stream back together. Can TSRemux do that? I can't find out, how to do that. Seems to be not so easy... It would be nice, if someone could give me a hint.
Thanks,
Chris
