put the entire *AVCHD* folder to your external hdd (fat32 formatted) file size limit 4gb! ps3 fw 1.9 needed
5.1 output works also on hdd :D
I replaced the files in the AVCHD-folder with 1088i (h264) and it's working, tested with a 30s-TS from PremiereHD (Lost).
Now I need no burning to DVD :-)
Thx, kvoss

CoreAVC.H.264.Video.Codec - Version 1.5
- Add: An option to always crop 1088 video to 1080 lines (enabled by default)
I don't know if this is possible but maybe coreavc 1.5 in combination with graphedit can remove the 1088 flag
Thanks enjoyer, I tried with a h264info and that did not work. I think also demuxing and muxing mess things up. Would you please look at this clip and let me know if there is anything I can do besides re-encoding. http://rapidshare.com/files/46959405/Test.ts.html
And thanks for the pointing the AVCHD on HDD method.

We do not need to go through any trouble to burn AVCHD. After you run your file through TSRemux Bluray, go to BDMV directory and replace the MovieObject.bdmv and index.bdmv with these
Nice one, thanks!

I just re-muxed a level 4.1 h264 vob with ac3 into AVCHD m2ts and the resulted file had ~800 megs of overhead... not a very nice ratio :(
1.5Gig h264/ac3 VOB ends up as 1.7 Gig M2TS ... waste of space :P
Btw. if async mode is enabled, loading the vob will cause an error... tick it off and it'll load fine.

Hi,
I also don't like rapidshare as a filehoster for two reasons:
Javascript has to be enabled to be able to download a shared file, and I can't use a proxy server without problems, because all downloads made through the same proxy by other users are accounted for the download limit. But for security and privacy reasons I prefer to switch off javascript by default and I am always using a proxy.
There are alternatives which IMHO are better, e.g. zshare.net, because they don't have such limitations. But of course anybody is free to choose the hosters he likes most.

Hello all,
We do not need to go through any trouble to burn AVCHD. After you run your file through TSRemux Bluray, go to BDMV directory and replace the MovieObject.bdmv and index.bdmv with these http://rapidshare.com/files/47821885/BDMV.rar.html (or use the ones that NeroVision produced) and burn the BDMV directory with Nero UDF 2.5 and that IS it. Hope this will help:cool:
Here is another link to the files http://www.sendspace.com/file/u3s2q0
As mentioned above you can make your own with NeroVision.

I'll make a change in TsRemux to generate index.bdmv and MovieObject.bdmv to follow what those two are doing. The only real difference will be that right now the uploaded index.bdmv shows that the disk was produced by NeroVision version 4.9.7.2, my index.bdmv won't have that. :D

There is no difference in TS. However there is a difference when building blu-ray/avchd disk structure as you need to parse the elementary streams to retrieve the stream data such as resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio etc.

I have Windows Vista Installed and when reading the MKV and Remuxing I get around 60% CPU usage on each core (Athlon X2 4400) and almost no HD reading at all.
It takes a long time to TSRemux identify de streams and another long time to remux then.
Tried with ASync I/O on and off its the same thing.
Anyone having the same problem?
Oh, and I would like to thank DMZ01, this is a great program and will make lots of people happy with their PS3.

Unless you have a combo (HD-DVD & Blu-ray) player sound won't work. HDDVD's dolby digital plus is not compatible with the Blu-Ray standard. You might be OK though with DTS if your source has it.

If you can supply a sample MKV file that reproduces this problem I can fix it. Notice that you can't just cut an MKV file into smaller pieces. You'll have to re-create the smaller ones. MKV files store stream info only once and not throughout the stream like TS or PS.

ok thanks,
I understand. I also think - please correct me if I am wrong,
Dolby Digital Plus can be used by Dolby Digital decoders without problems. Means they play back, it is backward compatible.
Where does the issue then come from ? Does Blu Ray not support Dolby Digital plus ?
Could that be solved by exchanging header / signalling bytes
within the Dolby Bitstream ?
Asked differently - If I used TsRemux with EVO and DD+ make TS, then of course DD+ disturbs say a blu ray player, e.g. PS3. could one run that bit stream through a filter, where DD+ header bytes are changed, so the TS stream contains DD only.
would that save the problem ? thanks

Only the blu-ray version is backwards compatible by having a core stream and DD plus extensions. HDDVD version is not as it is pure DD plus without any embeded DD core stream.
Where does the issue then come from ? Does Blu Ray not support Dolby Digital plus ?
It doesn't need to, DD on blu-ray is comparable to DD plus on HDDVD due to the frame size allowed on blu-ray vs. HDDVD. It does support DD plus extensions, but no titles use it today as blu-ray's DD is good enough. See the long thread on the AVS forums straight from Dolby labs engineers.

Nope, you will need to re-code. See eac3toac3 program on DD plus to DD conversion.

Could someone please test this file (http://www.zshare.net/download/307776947097cb/). It is a video from Panasonic AVCHD camcorder. It is 1080i PAFF so you need CoreAVC to decode it.
The problem is, that the file plays fine. But after demuxing to RAW stream (using TSRemux) and muxing to MP4 (YAMB 2.0.0.7) the video is completely broken (blocks, choppy, green). The same happens if I mux the h.264 in MKVToolnix to Matroska. Remuxing the video to .TS or .M2TS works fine.
I'm not really sure if the problem is in demux, but since the demuxed video shows same problems in MKV and MP4 I would guess the problem might be caused here.

AFAIK 1.9 FW PS3 will skip the audio pid if the extension is .mpg (if the mux model is TransportStream)
Ive tried .m2ts to no avail. Only thing that works is Programstream muxing if u want sound and video.
Im trying .mkv -> .ts as 192bytes pr. pack to test. Ill report when i get one running..
