Try this. I really do not know it it will work.

Thanks for your suggestion... but I've already tried it...
It's for regular DVDs and SUP stream format for HD-DVD is different...

I use TsRemux 0.0.18 to keep 2 soundtracks and 1 subtitle from Blu-ray movie by Blu-ray output option, then I get a BDMV directory can play fine in PowerDVD 7.3 Ultra version.
But there's something strange that can't choose soundtrack and turn on the original subtitle, is this still not work fine or I missing something?

Hi all.
First of all i want to say a big :thanks: to dmz01 for coding TSRemux. This utility has helped me greatly in the past week. I did extensive tests with it in that period of time.
I still have some problems though so I wonder if some of you can help me out here.
I mainly have 3 remaining problems now.
1) The most important problem so far is with an H264 SkyHD broadcast stream. I have no real problems with MPEG-2 files but when I use TSRemux on my 1920x1088i50 (25fps) AVC/AC3-5.1 stream, my PS3 will playback the clip fine but in low-res and I think stereo sound too when using the Blu-Ray option in TSRemux and when burning the structure on a BD-RE. What I mean is that the PS3 reverts back to 480p and then shows the clip. The playback is smooth and the audio is there and in sync but I think in stereo and the picture looks like crap of course since it's not displayed in 1080i. I would appreciate any help on this one because I didn't see anybody having this problem yet when reading the thread? I have an NTSC PS3 by the way (latest firmware) but I don't think it should make a difference? Also, I tried another small H264/AC3 2.0 clip that seemed to be 1920x1080 (not 1088) and it did the very same thing (I need to confirrm that it was 1080i but I am pretty sure, at least according to Premiere Pro CS3). The small clip I tried is available here:
http://x264.nl/h.264.samples/
It is the clip named "sky.movies.9.hd.ts". This plays back in low-res on the PS3 for me after passing it in TSRemux in Blu-Ray mode and burning the resulting structure to BD-RE.
Lastly on this point, if I use Nero Vision 4 and create an AVCHD structure on the HDD with the same "sky.movies.9.hd.ts" clip, Nero will re-encode it and the resulting .m2ts, .clpi and .mpls files will playback correctly in full resolution on my PS3 when I use those 3 files from Nero Vision's structure and copy them to the TSRemux structure or even DVDIt Pro HD structure. It seems like TSRemux is doing something wrong maybe? I am not interested in transcoding the clip so the Nero Vision way is not interesting to me even if it works.
2) I authored a BD in DVDIt Pro HD with two audio tracks. I made a menu with two buttons. The first button plays the single movie on the disc with the first audio track and the second button plays the movie with the second audio track. I then used TSRemux to create a blu-ray structure with the same clip with the two audio tracks and I replaced the .m2ts, .clpi and .mpls files in the DVDIt Pro HD structure like I always do and I burned the results to BD-RE (I do it because DVDIt Pro HD transcoded the clip). When i try the disc in the PS3, both buttons playback the movie with audio track #1. I cannot access the audio track #2. The PS3 Blu-Ray player menu will not switch audio tracks either when I press the switch audio button during playback.
3) When I use TSRemux with any MPEG-2 stream so far (I tried about 4 different streams: 2 were HDV from camcorders and the other 2 were from Broadcast HDTV 1080i60), I always need to first cut a small part of the TS at the beginning of it (like 1 or 2 seconds) with the application HDTVToMpeg before passing the TS in TSRemux to create a Blu-Ray structure. If I do not do the cut before, I get super choppy playback on the PS3 and no audio. I wonder why i have this because I didn't read nobody that have this problem in this thread? I can do the cut trick but I wonder why I need to do it? I need to use HDTVToMpeg because the other programs don't correct the problem. I noticed that HDTVToMpeg is not frame accurate for the cutting so it seems like it is cutting to "clean" boundaries or something. Maybe that as something to do with it? Videoredo also does not correct the problem even if I use it to cut a portion of the movie in the middle of it, etc.
Maybe I can add a last question to dmz01 or anyone who knows the specifics of the headers in MPEG-2 HD files. I cannot import my MPEG-2 broadcast streams in Scenarist HDMV (in elementary stream format) because it always say that "the value of DisplayExtension is not compliant with the BD Standard". What is DisplayExtension?
Thanks a lot in advance for any help! :thanks: :)

This is exactly the problem. The Bluray Player Firmware is different in the PAL version and supports 1080i/1088i with 50 Fields. The NTSC version scales down to 480p60.
The XMB player is identical in the PAL and NTSC version, adding a pulldown when 50 Hz clips are played.

Ah damn. Ok thanks for the answer. I wonder why it worked for the AVCHD with Nero Vision 4? Hmmm, I think I chose NTSC though when I did the AVCHD with Nero... maybe Nero transcoded the clip in 60 frames and that's why all was fine after that. I will check this out in more details tonight.
It seems like my only workaround for this problem of mine will be transcoding to 60 fps if I want BDMV or else I'll need to listen to the clip in the dash with stereo sound if I can get the clip to work in full res but it seems I'll be able to that way from what you said.

I did some more tests yesterday night with H264 TS to blu-ray using TSRemux (no re-encode) and it seems you were right BDLAB.
I changed the header of my 25 FPS H264 TS source to 23.976 or 29.97 before passing it in TSRemux using h264info. The result was that the clip finally played in high res but the PS3 was not deinterlacing anymore so it wasn't pretty in 1080i output mode.
The best method so far is to use Nero Vision 4. It will re-encode the stream and all works fine BUT it seems that he leaves the framerate to 25FPS and it still plays to full res on my PS3? Something is weird in all this. Maybe the creator of TSRemux can do a patch for NTSC machines when using a 25 fps h264 source since the 25 fps Nero Vision 4 clip played perfectly on my PS3 in BDMV? I am just wondering what did Nero do to make the clip to play correctly on my PS3 since the fps stayed at 25 according to Premiere Pro CS3 at least?

Demux the stream and use h264info on the H264 elementary stream. Then you need to fill all the boxes with the value you want to put in the header. Typically put the framerate, 1 for the second thing, then put 4.1 for the level and 1920x1088 or 1920x1080.
Anybody else has that choppy playback if they don't cut the start of the stream after passing it in tsremux? I find that weird.

aah ok this way.
But this is not good idea.
H264info destroys sometimes the stream.
After running 100% perfect files through it, some came out with errors.

PS3 - PAL / NTSC support and TsRemux
Interesting finding I want to share here.
I have a US PS3 (NTSC) and I recently imported a PAL Blu Ray
disc (Alien vs Predator) - apart from the detail that is claims to be region B to my surprise the disc plays fine (PS3 firmware 1.90).
any other e.g. PAL DVD (no region code) or an AVHCD recording from my PAL version of Panasonic HD Camcorder caused the same message "no PAL support".
Now I ran one *.m2ts file from my HD CAM through
TsRemux and then created a blu ray disc.
Guess What ? It works !
That is absolutely great - I am technical but do not have enough background data (spec) to understand what happened, but it is great.
So here is my question/request to the creator of tsremux:
under the assumption, that all files have same construction (video coding, number of audio streams) - is it possible to
extend the tool so it takes all *.m2ts files from a folder
and runs them through Tsremux so a single blu ray BDMV folder
is constructed ? it is ok to have the individual files play as
a chapter in one movie so to speak.
The problem is that the hd cam easily creates say 100 short clips which are all individual m2ts files.
I need the creation of blu ray structure as in tsremux, but that can be done for one file only.
and the copy file 1 + file 2 to file 3 method is not good for more than 2 i found earlier. (tested with back up of deja vu).
it creates a single playable file, but hangs up in the middle no matter how many times i ran it through tsremux.
so again my request - take folder input from a source folder
with several m2ts files of same structure and create one blu ray folder output from ts remux
is that possible ?
thanks

dmz01 is the guy who wrote TSremux, and he will probably answer you as well. I have been playing with ts/m2ts streams for a while now, and here's 1 guy's opinion.
Options:
1) The copy method. I had problems with this when trying:
copy /b *.m2ts output.m2ts
This caused problems like you're mentioning where timestamps don't work, and you can't get past the first stream segment. What did work for me was:
copy /b file1.m2ts+file2.m2ts+file3.m2ts output.m2ts
I don't know why this method works, and the other doesn't, but it does. I don't know if this will work in your situation because the streams you're combining are not the same elementary stream. If they all are the same video type/resolution, same audio type, and each PID of the vid and audio stream is the same, it might work. You won't get chapters though, and you must run it through TSremux after the copy to fix the timestamp to the whole length of the file.
2) Use 3rd party software. Sonic Scenarist Blu-Ray Edition 4.2 is probably the best to use, but it's expensive. Also, it doesn't run on x64 XP/Vista, so don't even try. Another thing you might try is Adobe Premier, but I'm unsure if it can actually create a bdmv structure.
As for TSremux, it's come a long way, but I think it's a bit far from what you're asking. I hope you are able to make something work for you. Please feel free to PM me or reply if you want some more opinion. Good luck.

I've read you can hex edit them, but I don't know what values to change.
Look for 64 00 33 and change it to 64 00 29 (common for mainprofile 5.1, check forum thread for more info "AVC playback on PS3"). I found out that you do not have to change them all, only change the 2 first.
It is also possible to change the level directly in the mkv with hex editor, I have tested that, maybe good for this tool.
Check the forum for link to hex editor and how to.

hmm only issue I have is sync between video + audio, avchd plays fine though.
mkvextract to extract the h264 + ac3
use yamb to mux h264 into mp4 ( done as xmuxer freezes when you use .h264 )
using latest xmuxer 2.5beta and avc plugin mux mp4 + ac3
Output works in tsremux.
this file runs correct through tsremux!!!!!

mkvextract h264 + ac3
Hex Editor to change the profile from 5.1 to 4.1
use new YAMB v2.0 to mux h264 into mp4 ( input correct framerate and make sure media delay = 0
Xmuxer pro 2.5beta and AVC plugin v2.0 mux the mp4 + ac3
TSREMUX into Bluray
With firmware 1.81 I could get sound and saying 5.1 AC3 but with a black screen, now with 1.9 I get nothing.

First, I stumbled upon this tool trying to get my HD recordings playable via a ps3. Thanks to tsremux they work by burning them to dvd. Very cool. From my discussion with has123 on avsforum, it seems that the ps3 won't play files over a network properly (HD .ts files). Is this just a limitation of the current ps3 firmware or is there any other way these files can be playable on the ps3? It just seems so bizaar that they play fine when burned to disc, but studder/flash green when they play over a network. Is this a file format problem, or a network issue?

Darin,
Hello again. I think the problem is 1080i mpeg as if you try 720p there is no problem with flashing/studdering and it is not a network issue at least in my experience.

Thank you sir! Can you confirm this is the right workflow for 720p MKV files...
Tools needed:
- MKVExtract (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVExtractGUI)
- H264Info (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/batchccews/h264info_alpha0011.zip?modtime=1186417343&big_mirror=0)
- FFMPEG (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ffmpeg)
Steps:
1. Use MKVExtact to extract the audio and video streams
2. Change the level of h.264 file to 4.1 with H264Info
3. Mux the audio and video with the latest FFMPEG as follows
Click Start > Run > Type "cmd" > Press 'Enter' key
Type "c:\[directory where ffmpeg is installed]\ffmpeg -r 23.976 -f h264 -i input.h264 -f ac3 -i input.ac3 -vcodec copy -acodec copy -f vob output.vob"
4. Rename output.vob to output.m2ts, then burn it to DVD with Nero 7 using DVD-ROM/Physical partition/UDF 2.60
Can ffmpegGUI (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ffmpegGUI) be used instead of ffmpeg?

Movie then will restart and plays with 5.1 sound
If u want to test, convert the sample m2ts with tsremux

fast forward trick works :D ......if your source is 1280x720@25fps just change level to 4.1
if not u have to reencode it to 1280x720 and 25fps

It is a VC-1 encode, but I thought that TSremux worked with VC-1 encodes. It certainly receognizes the VC-1 stream. Instead of marking .m2ts in the options I will mark blu ray and see if that works.

Realistically, I doubt that this will ever develop, and I certainly hope not. This would mean that all those people out there that bought AVCHD camcorders would be screwed when wanting to burn all their hi def material to blu ray disc and programs like DVDit PRO hd would be helpless, as well as Nero, and many others. This is worse than the root kit crap that sony installed awhile back and if I remember right they had to remove that because it was deemed illegal. Sony will get what they deserve if HD DVD wins out in the end. One of the only reasons I buy blu ray movies is so I can back many of them up on disc, thus supporting the purchase of the movie and the blank blu ray media disc-Sony just doesn't get it, and if they don't get it soon they may loose it.

The blu ray version of Leathal Weapon does not have DD+ as an audio stream, only regular dolby digital according to highdefdigest.com. And, as I also stated, 300 blu ray rip isn't recognized by the PS3 either when I use PCM audio-says unsupported data-I used TSremux and simply kept the VC-1 track, PCM track, and presentation graphics.

As far as I know there's not a single Blu-Ray disc which has a DD+ track on it. Blu-Ray can theoretically do DD+, too, but since it's a totally optional codec in the Blu-Ray specification no studio uses it. They're always using conventional AC3 with 640kbps instead.

The point I was making was the PS3 can't play VC1 from the XMB, but if you use TsRemux to split up the file into dvd size chunks and use the Blu-ray output then you can burn the files to disc and play them on your PS3, with VC1 video.

question to the experts - can it be that AVC from HD DVD is also incompatible with Blu-ray (like DD+ and AC3) ?
Any advice ?
