I don't remember in which post I lost track on what you're saying :eek::eek:

I Just hope someday, someone (crl2007 ???) makes a guide with all the great things BDEdit is able to do... For example, crl2007's menu editing guide has been really helpfull to understand 2 or 3 things you've been talking about :)

:thanks: Pelican9 for this great program and to anybody else that is helping in the development of it :thanks:

There was no internet here...
Some bugfix
Insert/Delete button commands
Delete palette and object

crl2007
14th April 2010, 18:43
The replace current object and palette aren't ticking. I can't tick those boxes. They become active after pressing the load button. But then I end up with an extra unwanted object.

Feature request:

Copy button commands and paste them to another one.

LE: In Playlist, when editing IN/OUT Times, after inserting a value, the program immediately asks if I want to update. So if instead of 11.650 I want to put 10:00.000, I have to edit 3 times. Once for minutes, once for seconds and once for ms. Imo it should update on pressing Enter, so one can insert the whole time value.

LE: Nevermind, I see it's only working after you click load an object. Maybe it should be active before.

No. It's a bug. These are inactive when no object/palette.
Fixed.

It's on my to do list about two years ago...
I think I have to do now... :)

Try to delete first and then write the new numbers... The program checks the value when all place filled with numbers.

Feature request: "Hide" button

Supose you have nine buttons in the following setup:

(1) - (2) - (3)

(4) - (5) - (6)

(7) - (8) - (9)

It would be nice to have an option to hide a button, where the original button image is substituted with a transparent one and the navigation commands of the buttons around the hided button are changed in order to ignore it (for example, If you hide button 5, pressing right when been on button 4, should take to button 6 and if you're on button 2, pressing down should take you to button 8).

Greetings

A new snapshot is available.

04/15/2010 Changes for v0.30

- Insert/delete image objects
- Insert/delete palettes
- Cut, copy, paste of movieobject and button commands
- Insert/delete button commands
- Easy NOPing (Shift-N) for button commands
- EP fine and EP coarse table in CPI, CLIPINF
- Lot of bug fix

crl2007
15th April 2010, 17:27
@chompy If you delete a button's navigation commands, that button will be skipped. It will remain as graphic object, but with no role whatsoever.

Pelican9, something wrong with this v0.30b.
I imported Object with replacing and getting error when try to mux menu into m2ts.
http://www.picatom.com/1e/error-46-th.jpg (http://www.picatom.com/1e/error-46.html)
Naturally, menu has not been muxed.
UPD: oops... it's not fault of BDedit. send you PM.

crl2007

Does anybody know a way to keep the transparency ? If a button is set on a transparent square or something, the palette reverts to basic colors, as it should and the back transparency dissappears.

This is a button that is set on a transparent layer: http://thumbnails19.imagebam.com/7666/c0744a76650601.gif (http://www.imagebam.com/image/c0744a76650601)

In every scenario attempted, I always get a matte background.

Pelican9
16th April 2010, 15:52
Load to BDedit with replace object and delete the palette.
I don't know any image editor which can save this type of PNG (palette and transparency chunk with 256 entry).

crl2007
16th April 2010, 15:54
Yes, there is none, I checked. The best way that I could think of is to completely remove the button's background.

Pelican9
16th April 2010, 20:10
I've found this: Paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net/)
I've dowloaded the newest beta but the installer didn't work.
Maybe the last stable release (Paint.NET v3.5.4) works.

crl2007
16th April 2010, 23:49
Tested it, doesn't do it. Even if I replace the palette, the other buttons look awkward, and the one edited hasn't that same transparency. I think the only viable solution for the moment is to delete the whole transparent background.

new to BD structure edit. With this app is it possible to jump past those annoying language selection screens that always pop up at the start of Paramount blurays. Would be cool to not have to click on english button and instead have it select automatically and continue without any user input

Yes, it's possible, but not easy if you are not familiar with BD structure.

So far i tested modified with BDedit IG menus on 3 standalone players: PCH C200 / Dune BD Prime 3.0 / Anthem BLX 200
It works like a charm.
More tests to come but i think there is no needs in them.

Yeah, the menus work in every player tested by my friends too. Including PS3 when you write the blu-ray to disc.

PS: I just thought of something. I don't know if this can be done, but it's worth the question. Instead of palettes for 1 individual page, can they be separated for individual objects ? Instead of 6 palettes to have, let's say, 100 ( objects number ). So it would be so much easier to replace the current palette and keep the transparency.

Tried to play with bdedit, and opened a bluray with it, and now my index and movieobject files have taken on the "duck" icon, and I am no longer able to play the bluray with TMT3 from movie folders!
All I did was open the bluray, got an error message, selected download current version from within the program, and then this happens.
How do I reverse bdedit from associating with these files? ( index and movieobject )

EDIT:
After running regedit and deleting all entries, removing bdedit and rebooting, things are back as they were!
Well, lucky ( for me! ) I kept the working files/folder from BD-RB, and after a new rebuild, TMT will now play the backup from the folders option.
I'm still not sure what happened, since I certainly did not do or save anything, but bdedit did corrupt my original backup.

Hmm. It's weird.
I don't know how these things connected.
I use TMT and bdmv files associated to BDedit without any problem.
TMT doesn't care of .bdmv association (check Settings, File Association) you can play the BD with 'Open disc folder'.
BDedit don't touch any BD file until you press the save button.
Even if you change something and save it then there is a .backup file and a BACKUP folder to restore the original files.
If you want to change the bdmv file association you can do it by hand in regedit (HCR/BD.movie.info/shell/open/program) or right click on the file, 'Open with', 'Choose default program' or if you have a program which can associate this extension use the settings of that program.

And the 'duck' is not really a duck it's a pelican... :)

This is a mpls from a series disc. It contains 2 episodes and some extended credits. It is possible that when I edit the IN/OUT_Time for the first episode, the chapters from playlistmark to be edited just for that first episode ? When I edit the second one, the chapters from playlistmark to be edited just for that one, to not interfere with the others chapters ?

As it is now, the whole Playlistmark values are edited once an IN/OUT_Time is modified.

Hi, first thanks for your very useful software. I enjoy your new 'apply to clpi' feature, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me. I try to change something on the playlist and click 'apply to clpi' but no clpi file is modified and I can see 'reading xxxxx.clpi' on the status bar but seems to be stuck on this. Do I do something wrong, is there something to do to make this work? Is there a way to edit something on the clipinf tab, like the ATC_delta entry? I tried on different BD, from Win7 x86 and x64, XP and had the same behavior. Thanks for your answer!

Don't worry about the message in the status line, just forgot to delete it. After you applied the mpls settings to clpi go to the CLIPINF page see he changes and if you like it then save it.
Without saving nothing happens.

Thanks for your answer. However I'm trying to set/modify the ATC_delta_entries but it doesn't seem to work. In fact, I'm trying to rebuild some BD which contain a multiple versions main movie. These kind of BD contain movie playlists of multiple m2ts files that are played sequentially. When I try to reencode these BD, my player stutter at each m2ts transition playback. I noticed differences between original mpls/clpi files and those generated by tsmuxer or BDRebuilder. First the IN time are not the same (00:00:11.650 for the original and 00:10:00.000 for the remuxed), and the clpi ATC_delta_entries informations are removed. It normally contains the following m2ts datas. For example in the mpls you have the sequence 00001.m2ts+00002.m2ts+00003.m2ts, then in the 00001.clpi file, 00002.m2ts would be filled in the ATC entries. I'm not sure but I think this lack of informations could cause some players to have this stutter/freeze behavior, and I would like to resolve this issue in testing these settings thanks to your software.

I can confirm that the problem indeed exists. In my experience, all my BD-RB backed up copies which contain multiple m2ts files suffer from a slight freeze during transitions (notable Disney titles). I brought this to jdobbs's attention a long time ago, but since you posted it now again I forwarded your message along with my comments to the BD-RB bug reports page. Hopefully jdobbs has some insight regarding the matter.

@SoniG Read this guide: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=150511 It is explained there how to deal with such bd's split across multiple m2ts files.

I repeat myself, because nobody seems to read anymore. To get over that freeze, you have in that guide the method to edit it and join all the small m2ts in a bigger one, or to edit as branched disc.

You also have here a guide to do the same with multiavchd: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=151925

That problem ( freeze ) is generated by tsmuxer, as it handles poorly joining of m2ts files, not due to ATC delta entries. For BD's split across several m2ts files it is required CLOWNBD, because it uses eac3to to join and demux the streams.
