Thanks. Not real obvious. Got it changed.
At this point in time, I don't think that is going to fix the issue. The audio plays correctly, even though it was labeled wrong. I have a couple of other tests to do.

Well, I managed to freeze the Sony UHD player. I changed the audio from DD/mono to DD+/Multichannel and added some chapter marks. I used the clipinfo and M2TS files from what tsMuxer created an the edited playlist file from BDRB. I do not know which piece is causing the freeze.
At this point in time, it looks like my attempt to get this working is a failure. Sigh!

BDEdit 0.49
I must be doing something wrong when it comes to modifying the playlist chapter marks. TPTB for some idiotic reason did not put in a complete set of chapter marks. The movie is about 1:56:00 in length and yet the last mark is at ~1:42:00. Normally the last mark is about 2 seconds from the end. In the case of this movie, a few other marks are needed as well. It came with 16 marks. I added 6 more. And yes, the added marks are at IDR frames. The problem is that the new marks (17 thru 21) only jump forward a few seconds. And yet, the last mark actually went where I wanted it; about 2 seconds from the end.
Is there something else I need to do to get the added marks to go where I wanted them?

I wish Pel would have a better system in place for upgrading/updating. As it is now you'll have to email him (from the registered email account) requesting to have the download link for the latest version. This way you can't even know which one is the latest until you get it..

I'm working on v0.52 and I need a lot of different menu structure to test it.
It would be a big help if anyone could send me the saved IG streams of different BD titles as .mnu files.
The most usable (diverse) collections will be rewarded with the new version of BDedit.
Thanks in advance for your contribution.

If I want to load any BD's menu .m2ts via Menu -> Load -> Extension Dropdown -> select .m2ts
after quick reading of stream packets I get "Stream read error" for all of them ? What do I do wrong ?
Ah, found Post #235 (https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1380696#post1380696):

Answer by pel:
It shows an IG stream, so you have to find one on the CLIPINF tabsheet and use the '->' button to load to the Menu.
So all one has to do is scroll through the clpis, watch where the button "-> Menu" becomes ungrayed, and load this.
Ah, and loading the same stream via .m2ts into Menu tab indeed works !
All good here for 2 of 7 BDs.
The other BD's menus, containing some good candidates of "Main/Sub TS for Time based slideshows" are still unavailable.
Just checked: these are the JAVA discs, so no wonder... I hadn't thought that I had the majority of them.
Worth writing a guide, I think.
By someone who uses it more than I do, obviously ;-)

I have a problem with changing the playlist OUT time on blurays using BDedit. When I set the edit mode and I click on the OUT time the numbers disapear. After I then fill in the numbers the length column gives a false number that can not be adjusted. To show you this behaviour I have made a few screen shots. This happens only on my laptop but with ALL blurays. On my desktop BDedit is working as it's supposed to.
Does anyone see this on his/her pc too?
Has anybody an idea what is going on and how to remedy this?

Your pictures are still not approved, but a remote guess:
In the past I happened to see local update faults of desktop screens regarding small input pane areas differing with software, differing with systems.
A certain window of TheBat! "Menü Navigator" shone through other appliations
(with The Bat 5 (7 too ?.. forgot) on my Win7U64, no longer with TheBat! 9 on Win10Pro64).
You may try to switch Aero/non-Aero, compare graphics drivers etc.

I've been using the last version to try to add UHD videos into a Bluray UHD with menus created with DVDFab, it worked but the HDR is lost. There's any way to solve this problem? If I play the m2ts directly from the USB port of the Bluray player the HDR is working
Hi Pel9,
noticed than when editing the PGs for a BD3D there is no change in the STN_Table_SS. This impact the link between PGs and respective 3D-plane numbers.
Was wondering it might be possible to implement such change so to generate a compliant mpls.
In my case I add some subtitle stream so would be convenient for me to find in the STN_Table_SS, for each new subtitles, a pre-set additional 0x FF 00. I can then change FF myself.
Changes should be the following, i/ Length of ExtensionData, ii/ Length of the STN_Table_SS, iii/ Starting point of the SubPath_entries_extension , iv/ remaining Length of the STN_Table_SS within the STN_Table_SS itself – sofar in all cases 2bytes per PG –, v/ include 0x FF 00 per PG (byte #23 of the STN_Table_SS onwards)
Hope t is possible and thanks beforehand in any case.

I'm new to BDEdit and it seems I'm having trouble with something that should be fairly straightforward; combining two playlist files.
I have a Blu-ray in which the movie is split over two MPLS playlist files, each one pointing to a different M2TS video file. Together the two M2TS files make up the whole film. To play the entire film, the player plays the first playlists and then loads and plays the second. There is a small pause as the second MPLS loads, which slightly alters the duration of the film.
How do I use BDEdit to combine the two playlists?

Hallo,
I generated my first bluray disk using TMPGEnc Authorinc Works 6. (Holyday video.)
It has several tracks with about each 4 chapters and menus for the tracks and chapters, some with several pages.
I put also a "play all" button on the menu.
Note: there are no java or jar files.
So far ok. But on the last track I put "extras". I now wished that "play all" would stop before this last track.
(Usually comercial disks dont play the extras in this case.)
Also I would like that it would not fall from one chapter to the next at this track, but return to the menu.
I thougth first that there would be a playlist for each button and I could simple remove some entries from them. But it seems it is not so easy.
Could someone me give please some hint?
I tried to understand bdedit but there are some things I did not figure out yet. Especially how the buttons (menu or remote control) are assigned to the pgcs and the playlists.
(I have some experience with pgcedit, but bluray and bdedit is new to me.)
Thanks

Oh sorry, I was only passing by and wondering if I should upgrade, being on 0.51b6
But I would draw some conclusion from
https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=135561
maybe Post #17, Playlist -> STN -> PlayItem
If I find time I will look through what I have got multi-angle.
Ratatouille has beeen mentioned, (papers, recipes, inscriptions appearing in different languages matching the preferences).
IIRC it was just the choice of playlist which swapped the other stream in.
And the DVD-A BD multiangle test projects I had muxed did it similar IIRC.
For a fulltime 9-angle project I had 9 .m2ts of similar length laying in STREAM folder.
m2ts makes it rather simple compared to DVD-Multiangle where the VOB indeed had to be muxed interleaved.
Just checked Ratatouille:
At certain points in the timeline playlist 00001.mpls splits into 3 angles
and can swap stream segments of same length in:
inscriptions, paper tearouts in FR,IT,DE.
This is for non-seamless, I guess.

Does anyone know if the latest Version can convert BD V2 to BD V3 (UHD) files (playlists, clipinf, ...)
It seems there is no resonable priced UHD authoring software so I thought of doing a BD in MultiAVCHD and replace the streams with UHD from TSMuxeR. But then I have a mixture auf BD V2 and BD V3 files besides the wrong filesizes (which could be corrected with BDEdit).

Conversion of BD v2.00 to v3.00
The UHD BD is a different version (3.00) of the BD-ROM standard and this version needs extra extensions for the UHD info.
The first step is you need a Disc-info extension in the index.bdmv then for every PlayItem you need HDR metadata in the corresponding mpls’ extension.
After those you have to change the STN table video stream properties and the clipinfo properties too.
Also need to change all the version numbers from 2.00 to 3.00 in the bdmv, mpls, clpi and bdjo files.
The latest version of BDedit adds the Disc-info extension to the ndex.bdmv and the HDR metadata extensions to the mpls files and changes the version number in all files.
What you need to do manually is changing the video properties in the STN table, then apply the changes to the CLPI files.
The feature was never tested I need feedback to improve/finish this function.

Great work, I tried with old version of tsMuxer to create Blu-Ray v2.00 structure from UHD disc, tested 3 titles, after mux I used new option in BDedit to convert v.2.00 to v3.00, I set manually Table STN HDR, BT 2020 and CLPI file changes.

You can copy and paste an existing mpls, rename it and use it.
It is faster (and more reliable) than create a blank one and fill it up with data. You also has to create a corresponding clpi file too.

Can you test with an existing JAVA based bluray?
Making a IG/Blank bluray structure HDR/DV compatible was already possible. (Obviously with this new added function now is just perfect)
So the main challenge for this function is bringing back to life and making old java 1080p blurays compatible with new UHD HDR/DV releases.

Hi AVX, in the java structure, BDedit only modifies the *.bdjo files inside the folder with the same name, leaving the JAR folder intact.
With java programming the CERTIFICATE folder is also important, I tried with a title simulating manually (modifying the files with hexadecimal editor bringing them to v2.00) using BDedit after to bring the files to v 3.00, and everything works.
If you have other ideas how to try, please leave me your opinion.

Hi, tested Casino Royal (2006) BD
Converted the Java BD to UHDBD with BDEdit
Replaced main stream, clpi and mpls with Tsmuxer
Replaced 200 in id.bdmv of CERTIFICATE folder with 300 via hex editor.
The result is a black screen in the disc loading step.
If i use original CERTIFICATE , a play button appears on top right corner and then black screen but nothing else.
I do not get a loading error tho like i used to.

Have you changed the video stream properties?
It should be HEVC, 2160p, HDR10 or HDR10+, and BT.2020
There is s new checkbox at the end of the video properties line, if you check it the changes you made will apply to all PlayListItem.

I only use tsmuxer to generate UHD HDR clpi, mpls and m2ts for the main film.
I could change if directly in BDEdit but i always use TSMUXER to get perfectly compatible files.
In this case (Casino Royale JAVA 1080p BD) after converting the structure to v3 with BDEdit, the BD did not properly load in my dedicated player (got a black screen and that is not a loading disc error) so i could not really test if the film displayed HDR metadata correctly.
Where is the check button again?
