I think I have to insert/delete a record synchronously in the PlayListMark when I insert/delete PlayItems...

Edit:
Fixed (I hope). Try v0.38b3

PlayListMark maintenance will be the next step... until that you can do it manually.

I've tried to update several times from BDedit and directly downloading from your web and I still get 0.38b2 (but it detects new 0.38b3)...

I've uploaded again.
The size should be 2.344.960 bytes

Now I've been able to download and test it :)

And... I works perfectly: setting connection_condition to 5 (as in commercial blu-rays) to added PlayItems play them seamlessly.

:thanks:

Try to run as an admin.

thats not an option in XP, you can run as another user but the account I use to run it is an admin account.

as an experiment I tried it on my HP windows 7 laptop. Same error message, even when running as administrator.

Maybe it would be useful if you post your system specs and operating system. It would be more easy for Pelican9 to find the problem. For me, on win 7 x64 works like a charm.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a i7 processor with 8gb ram. I get an access violation at 0055A894 in module bdedit.exe. Read address at 00000000. I tried running as administrator as well. No luck. Using McAFee firewall with bdedit at full access. Blu ray programs include Anydvd HD, DVDFab Blu RAY Copy, and BD Rebuilder. All work flawlessly. Any help would be appreciated.

I noticed that BDEDIT gets this access violation if it can't get exclusive access to the file. For example if I have a CLPI or MPLS open at the same time in a hex editor.

I also have the violation problems on several computers, xp and win7. All of which are new installed windows and the program works fine on my old installations. I had found an older version on one of my computers and try to upgrade it to 38b3 but unfortunately that didn't work. To make the matter worse, it overwrote my older version and now I can't work with BDEdit on that computer anymore.

Edit: The program did not actually delete the old version but renamed it. So the 0.35 version is recovered!

Hello friends!! this is my first time here, i currently using Bd rebuilder for pass BD50 to BD25.

So, like you know, BD rebuilder just have options "Movie Only" (without menues) and "full backup" (obviously all staff even that we don't want)

Here is my question, BD rebuilder at the moment can't eliminate the extras, so, there is some tools that i can use for eliminate extras and after can use in BD rebuilder for encode the movie and menues?

Thankyou for you time

I've got similar specs to you, Win 7 64bit, 6gb Ram, i7 920. I'm getting exactly the same errors too, I tried run as administrator but it makes no difference.

Edit: tried it also with Win 2000 SP4, XP Pro 32bit SP3 with exactly the same hardware... and getting exactly the same errors again.

I'm getting the access violation when I start BDEdit before I open any files. 0.38b3 is the first version I used and got the errors the very first time I ran it. XP 32bit.

I solved the Access violation at address 0055A894 in module BDedit.exe. Read of address 00000000 error on my system.

Problem:
When I execute BDEdit I get the Access violation.
The GUI is missing text and opcodes are invalid.
There is no 10 second delay.

Solution:
Delete the registry entries (as tymoxa suggested previously) [HKCU > Software > Pelican Software]
Run an old version of BDEdit (I used 0.17) and then close it.
Run BDEdit 0.38 and the access violation should not appear, the 10 second delay should return, and the opcodes are not corrupt.

Compare the registry entries of:
Clean (No Pelican entry) --> BDEdit 0.38
Clean (No Pelican entry) --> BDEdit 0.17 --> BDEdit 0.38

You will see a number of entries with different values.

So I did a test and exported the registry of the BDEdit entry after running 0.17. I then deleted the BDEdit entry. This time I imported the registry instead of running BDEdit 0.17. BDEdit 0.38 worked with no errors.

I think this confirms the 0055A894 Access Violation is due to incorrect registry values that BDEdit 0.38 creates if it is run for the first time on a system.

the only versions I can find are the latest and 31b. unfortunately your fix doesn't work with 31b. any idea where I could get 17? or maybe you could post the reg differences so I could delete the reg keys manually that are giving the problem?

thanks

I think there's a bug with playlists: I you delete the last PlayItem and it doesn't have an associated PlayListMark, then when the playlist is saved it will get corrupted... The workaroud is create a dummy PlayListMark asociated to that PlayItem and then you can savely delete it.

If the PlayListMark list is empty then, the problem doesn't show up.

Greetings

When I try to load an m2ts menu, I get a "Stream read error." message box. It happened with everything I tried (Watchmen, Sherlock Holmes...). I'm using BDedit v0.39b.

What does it mean?

EDIT: The movies I tried were ripped with DVDfab. It happens in 2 different PCs, both with Windows 7 x64 (Spanish).

I've read the info on the bdeit home page and am not sure how to do what is probably a very simple thing.

I've backed up my Expendables Blu-ray so it only contains a single M2ts main movie/DTS MA .

What I'd like to do is take the discs DTS MA logo clip,~14s, and make it play first, followed by the movie, just like on the disc.

Is there a simple way to do this, with bdedit, or should I be using some other program for this purpose ?

@rapscallion

Hi!

Have you tried using tsMuxeR (set to "Blu-ray") to simply load the logo clip and then "Join" (Not "Add") the main movie?

Its very easy to edit BDMV structure with bdedit.
First of all... you have to make "blu-ray" of your dts logo clip with different compared to main movie numbers of playlist/clip:
http://i13.fastpic.ru/big/2010/1210/ca/c03e637e175f5cc8bee1c50007d9e6ca.jpg (http://i13.fastpic.ru/big/2010/1210/d4/99556954ddb9bdf36b3ad17379cc6fd4.jpg)
Then copy stream/clipinf/playlist folders to bdmv folder with Expendables remux. After that you need to edit .bdmv files with bdedit: you have to add link to playlist with your "dts logo clip" before main movie playlist.. If you're made remux of movie with tsmuxer then right position to insert new link will be here:
http://i13.fastpic.ru/big/2010/1210/6f/bafc8a9330f02c78500f9ec887742c6f.jpg (http://i13.fastpic.ru/big/2010/1210/df/df2038df55f96ccc8e4e5b428f0ae9df.jpg)
here you have to insert new line with command "Play PL (number of "dts logo clip" playlist )"
Save changes and try to play folder.
PS: sorry for bad english.

@rapscallion

Hi!

Have you tried using tsMuxeR (set to "Blu-ray") to simply load the logo clip and then "Join" (Not "Add") the main movie?
Hi setarip!

Yes, I actually tried that several months ago (I've done a lot of joining with streams that had the main
movie in multiple m2ts's-in fact this one has 27). Tsmuxer wouldn't process it and the error was
" not enough buffer for parse video stream. Current frame..." Whatever that means.

So I kind of forgot about it until I saw the clip again in this movie. It's a little strange in that the clip's
frame rate is 29.970 and 1080i. When played in TMT it loops continuously.
Maybe that's why tsmuxer couldn't process it and it needs to have it's own m2ts ?

You'd think that DTS would have made it 1080p/23.976fps, no looping.

@tymoxa .....Thank you, I'll give that a try and let you know if/how it works.

@rapscallion;
For a movie only with an intro clip played first, you could use multiAVCHD. Load your intro clip first and then the main movie, select play consecutively. I think you will need to have all / both clips be the same audio type and video resolution.
If you set a menu, then the clips can have different properties.

rapscallion
10th December 2010, 18:50
@capsback, Yes, I believe that's the problem, completely different framerate and resolution. No menu.

Pelican9 Do you think that in the future BDEdit's IGS support will include in-mux IGS streams ?

I think I can extract the IGS from an in-muxed m2ts but I'm afraid I cannot mux back...
I don't know too much about muxing... The existing menu mux feature is a miracle... :)
