I am looking for a way to add an m2ts back into the full (java) BD, after the following processing:
*I have stripped audio streams
*I added 2 subtitle (sup) streams
*I re-encoded the AVC video with x264
I am still pretty unclear on what the best way to edit/reauthor all of this is.
Can I replace the original m2ts and use BDedit to edit the structure somehow to remove the blanked audio and recognize the new sup files? If so how?
MultiAVCHD will do all these for you.

The change log references a version 0.40 with a date of 12/22/2012. Is this version slated for this date or was a version .4 released on 12/22/2011? If it was I cant seem to find it to download it. All I get is 0.39b.
Or is this an interesting way that Pelican9 is saying that there will be no more updates because the world will have ended on 12/21/2012. LOL.:readguid: :D :readguid:

Hi,
I need you help.
I have Shrek in 3D. I can reduce the 50Gb disc in 25Gb (with menu and bonus).
I convert SSIF to MVC file.
Copy 3D disc in 2D disc.
Replace 2D files (M2TS, CLPI and MPLS) with 3D files.
BD player can read this. But I do not know the function for him to read it in 3D.
In BDEdit, I put Move GPR4059, PSR31 and SetOutputMode 1.
TV detect 3D but don't display it in 3D.
Can you help me ?
Thanks

Pelican,
AnyDVD HD has recently introduced a Speed Menu option that replaces all Java menus with simple (HDMV?) playlist access menus.
The menus created are very simple and can't identify the purpose of each track, so it leaves an opening for the customer to be able to edit the track labels manually to make them more descriptive, if only such a tool were available.
I haven't used BDedit before, but wondered whether it could be used to edit these menu labels.
I noticed that BDedit has a menu display and edit feature, which could be very useful for showing people what the Speed Menus look like without requiring a Bluray player to be installed on the PC. Consequently, I downloaded BDedit 0.39b and opened a Bluray structure created with Speed Menu activated. Unfortunately, whilst BDedit displays data for all the other tabs, the menu tab shows nothing at all. I expect the HDMV menus it creates are different to what BDedit expects.
Would it be possible for you to modify BDedit to work with Speed Menu? I think this would create an awesome combination for the consumer to create customised simple menu access to Bluray titles.

I can't change the size myself.

Ok so here's the thing, i've got this blu-ray from Immortals (2011) and the only thing i can access through the menu is the settings. However, i know there's extras on it like an alternate opening, deleted scenes, etc cause i could see it through both BD-Rebuilder and just opening the m2ts files.
The "sad" thing is, it's no FOX title so it's not a matter of simply editing a small xml file in the BDMV\JAR\99999 folder as the JAR folder of the disc is empty.
The disc in question has 23 m2ts files labeled 00000-00022.
Now my question is does anybody know how to use BDEdit so i can fix the menu to a retail one.
Mine is an Region B disc (belgium ofc)

Hi!
Should I say, "I told you so" way back in early December?
http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1544876&postcount=23
I believe that what they've done on this Universal release (and others) is to remove ALL links from the Java menus to the rest of the disc, except, of course, the primary movie. I think properly re-linking everything would be a MAJOR undertaking that, in my opinion is not worth the effort.
Two suggestions if video "extras" (Excluding things such as "UControl" and "PIP") are truly important to you:
1) Use "multiAVCHD" to create a separate menued disc of the "extras"
2) Avoid purchasing "Previously Viewed" Blu-rays marked as "Rental"...
Ch3vr0n
31st March 2012, 23:46
That's the thing, they weren't marked as rental. The box insert said retail, it just came from a rental store that's all. I don't mind doing a major undertaking if somebody would walk me through it ^^. that being said i did find a temp solution. Anydvd Speedmenu created entries for the deleted scenes & stuff. Not entirely what i'm after, but it works for now. I'd still love the full menu though

If you purchased them as "New", you certainly have the right to insist on an exchange for FULLY FUNCTIONING DISCS, including all "Extras".
I'd suggest that on the other hand, if you purchased them from a rental store as "Previously viewed", you should have fully anticipated what you'd be getting - It's surprising to me that a release as recent as "The Immortals" is already appearing for sale as "Previously viewed"...

For the amount of effort involved in completely re-linking the menus, you are probably better off with the Speed Menu option.
Alternatively, if you can find a download for the untouched Bluray rip, perhaps you can extract just the menus.
IIRC, this title was causing a lot of issues with rips.

@setarip: i purchased a retail box (atleast the insert said so) but it was previously viewed, so yeah i knew i was taking a risc. You're right that they normally don't sell such blockbusters as soon as they did but i'm good friends with the store and a regular (read weekly) customer. Really wanted one so he asked the head office of the chain if he could sell me one. No i didn't pay full price either, only payed € 5 (wich is their standard for previously viewed discs). So it's not like i lost a ton of cash.
@IanD: No they didn't, but tried the content from the backup folder and its the same as the main one. I'll see if i can't find that alternate route :)

I m looking for 2 things I want to do with my Blu-Ray 3D .iso collection:
1.
Add subtitles to a 3D Blu-Ray .iso. I ve read somewhere that there are possibilities to re-encode the 3D .iso to a .mkv or .m2ts with a possibility to add subtitles. However, I looking for a remux option so the video from the original 3D .iso is not altered in any way and that the end result is a 3D .iso. So to sum it up I m looking for 3D .iso => 3D .iso+subtitle
2.
Remux (NOT re-encode!) a full 3D .iso (approx. 45-50Gb) to max 25gb (so only movie, no menu s or chapters needed).
Can BDedit do one of these two for me? 1. is the most important I m looking for!

I've got no idea, even for a simple thing such as embedding srt files it's a complicated process. First you'd have to demux the 3d disc and here the problem already starts. The 2nd eye stream technically isn't really on the disc, it's the same file that's referenced twice but only once physically on the disc. Thats why if you rip a 3D disc to folder structure it rips the 2nd eye stream also and you end up with a disc too big to burn back to a blank. Assume for a second it will be possible, then CloneBD or whatever it will be called, would have to convert the SRT subtitles to PGS (the type used in blurays), that requires OCR. Then you'd have to remux it back into 1 or both streams, then find a way to rebuild the disc and reference the same file twice though it physically only exists once, then burn it to a disc.
DVDCrap (what i like to call that rubbish from fengtao) does have the option afaik to rip a 3D disc to an mkv or something but it doesnt have the ability to add subtitles in the process. Another program like TMPGenc or something would have to do that, provided the software even supports 3D streams. Even if it does there's no guarantee the 2D subtitles would even be readable in the 3D remux. Catch the complicated things for a relatively "simple" thing?
Anyways. Back on topic now.

I used multiAVCHD to create a 19 title Blu-ray using the title-list menu. When any of the first 12 titles completes, it returns to the first title menu page with the first title button highlighted, ready to select the next available title. However, if I go to the second menu page to select any of the 7 remaining titles on that page, upon completion of any of these titles it returns to the first menu page with the first title button highlighted. I then have to proceed to the second menu page again to be able to select another title from this second page. :(
Can BDedit be used to change the default return to menu page to be the second menu page when selecting any title from within this second menu page?
Also, can BDedit be used to have the next sequential button be highlighted after completion of a title?
Any suggestions and instructions are most welcome! :)

I need to be able to edit the PTS start time of an IG Stream. Is this possible with BD Edit?
Basically I have a motion menu with an IG stream that starts at the beginning of the menu and I want to set the PTS start time of the IG stream to 10 seconds, so that the button highlights do not appear until after an intro sequence. Can anyone advise on how to achieve this?

Morning guys,
I've been reading quite a lot (maybe not enough) in this thread to find a way to turn on subtitle by default. What I learnt from great guys here is that I need
1) to find the right command
2) to insert SetStream 4951x, 0 command just before the command above.
The outcome?
1) The one created by Tsmuxer: always work
2) Some doesn't work at all (K-19 the Widowmaker) - subitle is still off by default
3) Some understood it wrong (The special forces) - it doesn't matter if I set it as 49512, 49153, 49154 etc, it always turns on the second subtitle.
=======
PS: I could not find any documentation on BDedit here or in the developer's site, and please give me instructions.

I see that item number 4 on your playlist (00005.m2ts) doesn't have subtitles, try to add 2 dummy subtitle streams to it and see if it helps.
In theory, all m2ts in a playlist should have the same number of audio and subtitle streams.

I'm trying to get a short background menu clip to loop before the main movie (remux) starts.
And then if I hit the "next" button , I'd like the movie to play.
The clip command is : Play PL 1
When I insert a line after this with Jump Title 1 and a Imm value of 1, the loop can't be stopped, it just continues.
Is there a command I can enter to stop the loop and continue to the main movie? (I'm assuming this is possible, of course)
Edit: Clip is 58 sec long with a chapter set at the 58s mark.

Hi.
I made a simple BD folder using TsMuxer containing a single .mpls, .clipi, and .m2ts.
For some strange reason TsMuxer is setting the SequenceInfo start time to 0:10:00:00 and adding 10 minutes to the end time/length of the clip 2:12:17:824 where the correct lenght of the clip should be 2:02:29.....
This is causing a 10 minute delay before the stream will actually start playing.
Any chance editing of the SequenceInfo time stamps can be added to BDedit? or any other way to correct the timestamps?
Thanks for a Great Utility

It's not Tzmuxer that's doing that, it's bdedit. And, it always does.
Are you actually seeing that 10min delay or are you just assuming that it is. Because mine always play properly with the correct chapter breaks.
If you want to, you can edit them. Playlist tab, bottom left, you can edit any of the tiimes you like. Hit "save" and done.

I am Actually seeing the delay...
Basicly My movie is split into 2 segments, the 1st runs for approx 2.5 minutes containing the opening credits duplicated in multiple languages.
The 2nd segment is the rest of the movie which has a running time of 2:02:29.651.
"see attatched file"
In the above pic the sequence start time is set to 10 minutes and the end time to 2:12:17:824
Which yields a difference of 9 minutes and 48 seconds between the actuall running time and the end time.
During playback in powerdvd the fist segment plays fine, then PowerDVD will freeze for 9 minutes 48 seconds before starting playback of the 2nd segment.
The navigation bar and position time will continue to tick along, but picture remains frozen for the time stated above.
I have now managed to edit the sequence times using a hex editor, however that did not resolve the above issue, so i'm at a loss.
Will try a different authoring program other than TsMuxer.

I'm new to BDedit so sorry if this is a dumb question: When a Button instigates the playing of a video, the navigation commands of the player work, ie the video is interruptible. However if the playing of a video is instigated by a program then the only option is to completly stop the Blu-ray playing. For example, instigation via the SetNVTimer command. Is there a way of making such a video interruptible?
I presume that Pelican, or someone else, has not been able to remux a menu back into an m2ts file?

Hi,
does anybody know what the files in the backup directory (inside the BDMV folder) are for?
In the Options tab of BDedit there is a button called "Save to Backup dir". When saving e.g. a playlist or a clipinfo, corresponding files in the backup directory are also updated, if the button is checked.
I do not notice any difference in the functionality of the BD whether the files in the backup folder are changed or not.
Is it advisable to activate the option "Save to Backup dir"?

I assume the backup is the same as the bup file on DVDs. It is just a backup in the event the main files are not able to be read due to a scratched or smudged disc. I don't know for a fact that this is the case.

Is there any possibilty to remove those forced subs with BDEdit.
The Subs are not hardcoded, the are called with some command.

15th January 2013, 20:38
Do you have menus, extras, etc? If not, I know that when I want to make subs forced, there's an easy procedure.
If yours were made the same way, I'm sure they can be easily reversed.
Under the BDMV tab, right side, look at the "command" line. If you see "set stream 49154, 0" , that is the command that's forcing the sub. Highlight that line and press the (-) sign to remove. Then press "save", bottom left. If you make a mistake or this screws something else up, just restore the back up files that bdedit always creates.
If not, maybe someone else can chime in. Good luck.
