I know. But they haven't change anything and keep the old dep once. "How did they do that?". That is a big question. :D

Does the Rec. Rate affect to bitrate or not?

There is a way for doing it! You just need easySUP tsMUXER and BDedit. You need to find de Playlist MPLS of the main movie. Add the MPLS into tsMuxer just add the subtitle with in (BD SUP in easySUP) mux it like Bluray Folder. Then find the CLIPinfo of the real movie of the origin bluray and change it whit the new one. But keep the code name the same! (00003.clpi = 00003.clpi) do this the same with the movie m2ts. Now BDedit. find in Bdedit the playlist of the main movie. And on your right sight you must find the subtitle box to add on 1200 is the first, 1201 is the second.. then you must save or mux it? And i think your done.

But if this is not clear xD i can make a tutorial if you want one.

I am trying to add a subtitle to a movie where no previous subtitle existed. I have successfully created the .sup
and muxed it using txmuser, replaced both the Clpi and m2ts in the original. I am not clear as to what should be done in BDedit. I am enclosing a screenshot of BDedit. The added subtitle shows up in the Programinfo as "PID 1200, PG eng"

Any help you can give me to complete this so I can have see the muxed subtitles will be deeply appreciated.

@sonate

You have declared sub in mpls?
if not mark PG in STN part of corresponding mpls, and click +
http://members.aon.at/video.digital/submark.png

adjust mPID and attrib

http://members.aon.at/video.digital/subadj.png

@minhjirachi
it is contrary
Bitrate affects Rec. rate (== mux rate)
If Rec. rate is too low buffer will underflow
Bitrate itself is set by encoder

Thank you so much for such a fast reply. I now have it all working as it should be.

Is there a way in BDedit or another tool to have the movie start with the subtitles automatically on, but allowing you to turn them off if so desired?

Again, your help is most appreciated, Greg

Even though the english subtitles timings are correct, the movie itself starts with a time stamp of 10 minutes. All the chapters are obviously off. If there is anyone who can help, I would appreciate it very much. See the attached screen shots.

Solved it, and then found that the newest version of TsMuxer prevents the problem in the first place. Again to all of you, thank you so much for the help.

I'm having a really hard time adding subtitles and audio to a tv series blu-ray.

I've done it many other times with other titles but this one is specially tricky. It ONLY has the big MPLS file that includes all the episodes.

So what I did was I used tsmuxer to remux the m2ts with the new subs and audio. Used the CLPI that tsmuxer outputed and replaced the old m2ts and the old clpi.
Since Tsmuxer doesn't support branches I've edited the big mpls file to add the new subtitles and audio but something doesn't work and the disc won't play passing episode 2.
I guess this might have something to do with the time stamps somehow.

Anyway, so I tried to just mux the m2ts and go into bdedit and add the subtitle and audio to the m2ts. So my problem is: when I press apply to CLPI it won't create a new stream.
It just updates the old ones.

Any idea how can I work this problem out?

EDIT: Got ask this too.

On BDEdit official website at the "3. CLIPINF" part it says:
"You can edit the ClipInfo fields and the ATC delta entries.
Right click to change mode (Edit/Read only), Insert makes a new entry Shift-Delete deletes an existing one."

I just can't. There's absolute no way to edit clpi information.

Does anybody have the same problem? Or know a possible solution?

Hi everyone, can someone help with a bluray structure with the following description:

The Bluray contains 8 episodes of a series, i want to add a subtitle track and a additional audio track, that was done in tsmuxer (replaced the M2ts and clipinfo for every episode), the problem is: the bluray has only a MPLS with all the episodes, not a individual MPLS to replace with the one generated by tsmuxer...

I want to know what is the parameter to edit for a perfect playback of the playlist? actually TMT or Power DVD only plays the 1st and 5th episodes, the duration of the playlist is right, bur the other episodes only shows a black screen.

You has the same problem...

Hope someone has some comment about how to edit this kind of BD-Disc's

Here I have a blu ray where I replaced English subtitles for the previously existing Japanese subtitles using TSmuxer. Only problem is that they were on by default on the original disc and remain so in the edited disc. Even though I can switch them off after the movie starts, is there a way I can use BDedit to turn them off by default so they don't go on in the first place and I can still enable them when I need to?

Yes, and very easy. Open the BDMV and in the right hand pane find 0000C00X (x=the sub number, 1-7). Then just change the "c" to an "8" and save. Sub will still be available via the menu.

Below example I did for Terminator 2, which had forced Japanese sub 0000C002. This shot is after I made the change.

Thanks to Deank for this info ! (who, BTW, hasn't been on the forum in over 2 years)

Your 3 screen shots are still pending approval, so I can't see them yet.

Here's the shot with the "c002" setting that's forcing the sub : (line highlighted in blue)

On by default means forced. As opposed to being part of the movie image permanently, which is called "hard coded". At least that's my understanding.

BTW, I can see my images in your quotes as well as in my posts

Your screen snaps are now visible.

In screen #1, you need to change lines 19, 21, 27 and 29. Highlight 19 first and then on the bottom, where you see "Hex", put your cursor in the 2nd box and change the "C" to an "8".

Do the same for the next 3 and then click"Save" on the left. Nothing in your 2nd 2 screenies.

When I get home later I'll make the changes and will be very happy to have learned something while getting this movie to work properly. It's amazing how many really good movies exist only in European and Asian collections.

Your issue would have been solved in the first 10 min. I'm sure there must be a reason, but it is frustrating.

How to add delay in a IG Menu?

I have tested the more obvious options and other more complicated:

- modify the "IN time" value from PLAYLIST/SubPath

- modify the "presen. st." value from CLIPINF (using a HEX editor because BDedit don't has option to edit)

- modify the "IN time" value from MENU (using a HEX editor because BDedit allow to edit this value but when you MUX the .m2ts or SAVE a .mmu file, this change is ignored)*

Anyway, none procedure works.

I need modify one IG Menu. But it is of this kind of IG Menu that is combined with audio and video files in the same .m2ts, and also has a delay.

Well, as every body knows, BDedit has another bug with this kind of .m2ts where te IG Menu is combined with more files. You can't MUX or SAVE the IG Menu (well, you can, but the file is corrupt).

So, to solve it I use and alternate menu and I change the PLAYLIST/STN type from "PlayItem" to "SubPath" option of the original .mpls file.

Ok, now the menu works well, but... has the original had delay, I need to apply it too... and this is my matter.

Can someone help me?

Thanks

* I have repoted yesterday this bug to the creator of this software.

First time using BDedit. I am using v0.39b because I can't find v0.40.

Made a disc backup with MakeMKV.

In BDedit, go to Playlist tab, selected the mpls I wanted from the dropdown, scrolled down to the last segment that I wanted to delete, pressed Shift-Delete, and the unwanted segment disappeared from the list. Pressed the Save button. Quit BDedit.

Now tried to open the disc backup with MakeMKV, and it opens just fine... except it skips the modified playlist.

In BDedit, after I modify the playlist, if I navigate in the dropdown to another playlist and then back to the playlist that I modified, it does display the modified playlist, but it also gives an Access Violation error.

Any ideas? Seems simple enough, and hopefully I'm just missing something that I need to do, because modifying playlists and removing unwanted segments would be my primary use for BDedit and it would be SO useful to be able to do this.

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

Is it just me, or does editing the positions of buttons in BOGs not seem to save when saving out either a .MNU or muxing a M2TS for an IG menu? I can get around it by using a hex editor, but I'm wondering if anyone else has the same problem, or I'm just using it wrong.

Hello, I have been using BDEdit for many years to edit BR structures.

Recently I moved from Win 8.1 to Win 10 and find BDEdit no longer works for me.

I have tried versions 0.38/0.40 and I get an "Access violation error" when opening the program and worse when looking through structure I get "Invalid OP Code" for everything so I cannot tell what is what and I cannot get to any of the commands such as "Set Stream\Set System".

I use the program to "turn on my" main subtitle by default using the "49153" setting.

I have it set to admin rights, I turned off DEP for them, and I tried opening in win 7/8 modes, tried multiple different BR structures nothing works.

I thought it might no be able to work under W10 but here are threads from 2018 so surely some on here have it working in W10?

Got this figured out in case someone runs into this;

I recalled I had this issue before but I had no idea what the issue\fix was so went through this thread and found answer on pgs 34\35.

If you try to install 0.38 it enters incorrect registry information and will not start right (access violation error) so you need to install an older version first and then 0.38 to get it running correctly.
