I was looking at this soft, BDEdit and I would like to know how to "kill" a playlist, like 00000.m2ts, still playable and by-paseable, like you "kill" a title in PGCEdit. I was looking in this thread and I could not find any clear reference to my question.
Thanks in advance

An m2ts is not a playlist, but I think I know what you mean. For non BD-J titles it's a simple as removing references to the playlist (MPLS). On BD-J titles, the file still needs to by physically present unless you modify the JAR and it's signatures (which I guess you're not going to do). In this case you replace the MPLS with one that refers to a M2TS/CLPI with the shortest time you can get away with.
Clown_BD BD Copier (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=154574) does this for you in a handy GUI, so perhaps it'll save you the effort?

Rescueing old feature requests... Is there any hope to have soon the option Save/Load items from STN table that crl2007 requested or something similar to edit the STN of one PlayItem in a PlayList and with one click, copy it to the rest of the PlyList PlayItems?

so i am trying to back up a series title i have that is a BD50, and i want to make 2 BD25s for my backup, keeping all menus and audio/video untouched, except for the actual number of episodes per disc.
there are 6 episodes on a disc, each episode has its own m2ts file, but everything is contained in one main mpls.
can anyone tell me how i can split this mpls up, using either BDEdit or some other tool?
btw, I tried splitting this onto 2 BD25s with tsmuxer but the second half (second disc) for some reason plays without sound (even though if i play the m2ts files from the second disc individually in a software player, there is sound ... color me confused). first disc was fine
thanks for any help

Usually there is a mpls per m2ts, and the one mpls that has all the m2ts's is the play all feature, verse the play one episode at a time.
If you load the BD50 into multiAVCHD in Re-Author mode, you could blank half the episodes to attempt to fit to a BD25 with no reencoding. Depends on each m2ts size of course.
I have done this several times, and it works excellent!
The episode that is blanked will be removed, and if you select to play that episode from the menu, it will just return to the menu after a brief attempt to play. :)

well, there definitely isn't an mpls for the individual episodes for this one :(
can i keep the original menu and keep everything untouched (other than "blanking" 3 episodes per disc) in multiAVCHD?

I'm not sure, probably not. MultiAVCHD will complain if there is a problem.
Can't hurt to try, it won't have any affect on the source. Test with a software player first, and if it works there, test with a BD-RE for a standalone player.
EDIT:
If you load it in Re-Author mode, the mpls/m2ts files will be visible at the bottom of the window. Try to blank one at a time, and if multiAVCHD does not complain, it may work.
If there is only one mpls for six m2ts files, I don't see how it will work. If, however, you see seperate m2ts/mpls files for each episode, then you should be able to blank 3 of those and test for success!

I just successfully modified an Encore project to fix the pause that occurs at Loop Points in menus, in addition to the pause that occurs at the end of menu transitions.
Here is what I did to fix the problem:
1) Located the Playlist of each menu transition and menu intro (before the loop point), then added the clip of the menu that followed as the next PlayItem in the Playlist.
2) Set the connection condition value to 5 for the first PlayItem.
3) Rewrote some of the navigation commands of the movie objects so that the player remembered the last button selected of the transition playlist.
Using this method, the disc plays back 100% seamlessly through the loop point of a menu and after the menu transitions, without any stutter when played on a computer.
However, when played back on a standard Blu-ray player, the disc still exhibited a slight pause between the PlayItems, even with the connection condition value of 5.
Is there any way to get 100% seamless playback between the first part of a menu (before the loop point), and the second part of a menu (after the loop point) on a standard Blu-ray player?
How do commercial discs handle this? Are both parts muxed into a single m2ts and separated with a PlayListMarker? If so, how would you get the IG Stream to appear after the first part? Using the PTS time?

When I modify the blue column so that the disc will be played in a standalone player it results a 1,29 GB mpls file and if you load it again, bdedit will display an OUT OF MEMORY error.
Feature request:
Sync PTS to update itself upon modifying IN_OUT Time.

Frame is much less accurate than millisec. Even the ms is not accurate enough for display the stored values which has 1/90000s or 1/45000s resolution.

żHow can I convert from frames to time on chapter txt saved files?
For example, I have these times:
00:00:00.000
00:06:48.879
00:13:36.679
00:22:17.880
00:28:07.920
00:34:34.920
00:41:20.920
00:45:08.800
00:55:01.519
01:02:48.800
01:12:06.600
01:21:19.760
01:32:46.119
01:44:24.119
01:57:52.760
02:15:55.920
That match with these frames:
0
10221975
20416975
33447000
42198000
51873000
62023000
67720000
82537975
94220000
108165000
121994000
139152975
156602975
176819000
203898000
The movie's framerate is 25 but if divide the number of frames with it, I don't get the correct time. For example: 10221975 frames / 25 = 408879 seconds = 113 hours + 34 minutes + 39 seconds. Even if I take 50 fps it would be over.
What am I missing?
Greetings
Edit: The movie was 1080i25

Your frame numbers are hopelessly wrong--how did you arrive at them?
e.g. Frame 9801 is at 00:06:48.783 of a 24000/1001 movie.

Sorry I though the movie was 24000/1001, in fact it's 25 fps interlaced, and the frames is the info I get when I export chapters using BDEdit (in frames format).
I've done a test with a 24000/1001 movie and then frames and time match, but on 1080i25 movies they don't match.

Well it seems that it's so simple as just divide by 1000 the number of frames BDEdit reports in 25 fps movies... Silly me.

1- When adding an m2ts file to a project, you need to add both the xxxxx.clpi and xxxxx.m2ts. if there is a clip already with the same name can you just change the name on both the clpi/m2ts , or is there a change to be made in the files themselves to make it functional?
2- is there a detailed description of the field? or does someone know what is the second column labeled as "C" in playlist (as per image below)

I thought that the connection condition is how it connects to the next item in the playlist, not the previous. If so, the first play item could certainly have a seamless connection condition, where as the last item would always be 1.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

from "Sonic Knowledge – How to - Author “Seamless Branching” in BD":
To ensure playback is seamless, the “Connection Condition” property of each PlayItem
after the entry PlayItem must be set to “Seamless”.

Interesting, as I modified an Encore BD image to create seamless playback between menu transitions and loop points, and set the first playitem as seamless, and the last as not... which resulted in seamless playback from playitem 1 to 2 on a computer, but still had a slight pause on a set top BD player. I will have to test this out to see if it creates 100% seamless playback on the set top player.

I have searched this thread to find out how to "play" clips or basically anything documenting how to "see" what you are editing and can't come up with anything. I'm guessing from the rudimentary description of how this app works on the website that this app does in fact allow one to "play" or "look at" the assets contained in a BD structure. When I hit the play button for ANY type of asset listed in the app NOTHING happens. Am I interpreting "play" to mean something else??
please advise

if you meant that you can't change order of audio/subtitle tracks in playlist/clip then it's not a bug.
you already have some order in your .m2ts and without changing it in stream you CAN'T change it in .clpi
what you CAN - is to change order of tracks in playlist's STN table according to PID in .clpi...

new to BD structure edit. With this app is it possible to jump past those annoying language selection screens that always pop up at the start of Paramount blurays. Would be cool to not have to click on english button and instead have it select automatically and continue without any user input
This is my exact question
Yes, it's possible, but not easy if you are not familiar with BD structure.
If it is possible, is there a guide for this posted somewhere?

I had been trying to get this tool to do anything at all related to editing BD file structure and finally gave up on it all together. There is a "tutorial" placed on the authors' website but I have found things don't really work as advertised. Plus it seems that the author has abandoned this tool. My advice would be to find and use MultiAVCHD for BD "on the fly" structure edits. The author of that one too may/may not be supporting it anymore, and it does have bugs, but it does in fact work.

Loading a BD file structure and simply trying to follow along with the tutorial. Pressing "play" with ANY portion of the BD yields nothing. If this worked one might be able to find their way around the disk but I have never been able to make it work. It's NOT BD specific, this happens with ANY BD I load into the tool. As well the same BD's load and are editable in other tools.
