There seems to be a problem with DTS ES and AC3 EX Audio tracks. They are reported as "unknown" and can not be encoded or demuxed/remuxed.
Even if selected, BluRip reports "No audio streams selected" when pressing "start".

Source is a Pixar Shorts BluRay-Disc.

Won´t help much - The log is ok. But AC3 EX and DTS ES Audio tracks do not work. Stream selection windows reports "unknown" audio.

After you add a movie to a queue, is there any way way to go back to it to modify some stuff?

Also, using the SVN copy, I got an error saying that it froze. Not sure if its blurips fault so I will try it again.

Current svn might be broken. I'm working on dgdecnv support but it's a little bit more complicated then I thought..

Atm there is no option to edit the queued projects. You can save alle projects before queue and open & edit them and queue again deleting the old one..
Maybe I'll find a better solution.

BluRip doesn't remove the BluRay copy protection..
You'll need external tools to do this. There's a hint under usefull tools..

You can adjust size when using 2-pass mode. You have to specify the bitrate yourself then.
I'll add a bitrate calculator later..

Maybe when everything else is done ;)
Won't be possible to do automatic srt creation..
Goal of BluRip was automatic conversion. Would love to have a good working sup->srt tool..

Yep, would be nice to have. But i don't see the point..
If you have a 12gb file (video+audio) 50mb for bmp subs don't matter.
For txt subs you may always get error when ocr isn't working 100%. And I don't want to read and correct all subs by hand.

No, I just showed up at my PC and it was like that.

another weird thing is that after it failed, I decided to start it again. So i clicked "start". At this point everything had been already demuxed and the stream list was already populated. Whats weird is that the encoding finished, but it looks like it never remuxed anything. So in the working folder, I have the mkv file it made called <prefix>_video.mkv that seems to be complete but in my target folder is empty.

Also, the working directory button is broken in the SVN. I don't know anything about windows programming, as I am a J2EE programmer by profession, but are you looking for any help with this app?

Issue for me with the button is on line 1126 of the MainForm.cs.

DirectoryInfo di = Directory.GetParent(settings.workingDir);

If settings.workingDir is empty, then this throws an exception, so I just moved the settings.workingDir != "" to include that.

Would it be worth adding another tab, maybe for UI exceptions? How about splitting up MainForm.cs to make it a little more "manageable"?

Visual Studio is def a lot different than Eclipse, that's for sure.

Is there anything easy that needs to get done that I can take a swing at?

I think I did press the button. My screen was asleep, and I pressed enter to wake it up. The abort button has focus. Maybe an abort confirmation would be helpful.

hi....the options I am referring to are in mkvmerge...check the gui out. There you can add in info about the mkv, such as aspect ratio of the video; I often find it useful to have the aspect ratio specifed.

also, mkvmerge needs frame rate of h264 to be specified manually (usually 24000/1.001 unless interlaced). Do you pass this along in the muxing to mkv?

Atm I don't pass any options to mkvmerge. I demux video as mkv so info about framerate should not be lost?

When I use eac3to manually to demux a blu ray and it is h264 and whatever audio, when I use mkvmergui it tells me I manually need to specify the frame rate of H264 as mkvmerge cannot detect the frame rate as it is (unlike VC-1 which it can detect the frame rate). Try it out with mkvmerge gui frm the mkvtoolnix package and you will see this. So I suspect you will need to add this into your gui for the user to add. In 99.9% of cases (unless interlaced) the frame rate will be 24000/1001.

That is, remove the "Convert audio from DTS to AC3" and have it "Convert Audio to AC3" This way TrueHD, etc. (all audio) will be converted to AC3. I do this for my media center...as I think "high def audio" is a waste of space. Would make your program a be more elegant as well.

You could parse the h264 stream using h264_parse and analyze the VUI Parameters to get the framerate.

I don't know how this program works but if the stream is encoded with --aud then it would be beneficial to use eac3to to do the video muxing to MKV. eac3to will read the VUI parameters and write the fps header in the MKV.

According to madshi:

To my best knowledge mkvtoolnix' elementary stream muxing is inferior compared to eac3to. I've found several bugs in mkvtoolnix' elementary stream muxing, none of which are present in eac3to.

Or output MKV from x264.

clicking on minimize when encoding doesn't send BluRip completely to the system tray two instances of BluRip are created one in taskbar other in the system tray can it send it completely to the system tray please
also can you add a option to disable auto cropping and pass cli switches to DGIndexNV before it runs i rather have it run hidden -h and use it's cropping before BluRip creates the .avs and starts to encode:)

when demuxing TrueHD files can you make eac3to demux the stream as .thd+ac3 rather then just .thd so the core .ac3 is decoded and included in the output as-well thanks;)

If you don't use the untouched audio button, all audio is converted.
All ac3 types are stored as ac3 (not ac3hd) and if you check convert dts 2 ac3 all DTS types are stored as ac3, too. You can also set the bitrate for the ac3 files.

eac3to demuxes to mkv - not raw video stream. So the fps info should be stored in the mkv. x264 output is also mkv.
I hope there is no need for some extra framerate handling.
