I don't understand your point.

Ahaaaa...
After digging out the old email you sent me (Oct 2012) I sussed out where I was going wrong. It must be me who's "barely conscious" ;)
I've not used the license generator in years--how and where??? I see nothing in Changes or the Readme or .htmls or website about how to actually do this (and I get Error Invalid License! when I try to open a file).
:(
EDIT: Bah, I found it by going thru old emails. May I respectfully suggest adding some clues to Readme or Changes e.g. "Find the email you got from me with your User ID and goto neuron2.net/licensing.html and enter it there along with the new Machine ID (from DGIndexNV's About dialog)".
It worked btw...

Guys, I need some testing...
Everything here is 5 by 5.

May I respectfully suggest adding some clues Of course you may. I'll do it when I make the release. Thank you for the suggestion and for your testing.

Everything here is 5 by 5. You forced me to Google for that one. That doesn't happen very often for me, so congratulations, and thanks for your testing.

:p No problem. Always looking forward to testing out things.

I went live with 2047.
Next I will update my other tools. In the meantime, use the old license file for them. The license generator works with both licensing schemes.
As soon as I receive the first license count reset request I will reset everybody to 0.
Thank you everybody for your interest in my tools and for your assistance to improving them over the years.

Thank you neuron2.
My timeshifted viewing pleasure depends on your tools, every day.

Since version 2047 I can't save a project anymore. It shut down (crashs?).
Step by step:
I load mpls file
I click on Audio -> Audio demux to select the audio files I want
I click File -> Save Project
It seems a window wants to appear but it closes immediately. It doesn't happen on 2046.
My version comes from the MeGUI Updater. The AVS Script Creator from MeGUI works fine with DGIndexNV.
Tested with 2 BluRay movies on Windows 8.1 64bit.

Did you make a new license as required after updating to 2047?
If so, try to open some other file, like a VOB or TS. What happens with those?
The only thing significant that changed was the licensing method.
Morku
24th June 2014, 17:57
Yes, I did. Without the license, DGIndexNV doesn't allow me to select audiostreams.
It also crashs with VOB and mp4 files and it crashs without choosing audio streams before.

Yes, I did. Without the license, DGIndexNV doesn't allow me to select audiostreams. That sounds very odd, as you should get a license violation popup if you open a stream without a valid license.Did you download 2047 from my website? If so, please send me an email with your user ID, a snapshot of your Help/About dialog, and attach the license file you made.
Please state your OS and nVidia card type and driver version. 32 or 64 bit DGDecNV?
When you open a VOB, when exactly does it crash? Please give full step-by-step.
Meanwhile I will try to recreate this with a bluray.
Morku
24th June 2014, 18:13
No, I got the license violation popup, so I generated a new license, saved it and it works fine until I click "Save Project". It doesn't matter if I select mpls, vob, mp4 file. The program always crashs when I want Save project or click F4. Opening a videofile is no problem.
Do you still want my user ID and machine type?
I have GTX480 with driver version 337.88 on Windows 8.1 64bit and latest updates.

No need for the licensing info.
32 or 64 bit DGIndexNV? I want to make a debug version for you.
Also, try deleting the INI file.
We're going to need to work closely on this, so if you can stick around and respond promptly it will be much appreciated.
EDIT: Seems you can't stick around. :(
Morku
24th June 2014, 18:45
32bit version coming from the MeGUI Updater (dev server).
Deleting the ini didn't help, but I found something out. When I open DGIndexNV twice and leave the one version in background, saving the project works on the other window. Thats weird.
Sorry, I had to clean the kitchen, but now I have time :P
I will do a video to make the situation clear.
EDIT: Hm... I can't reproduce the trick with opening twice... ô.o

Video not needed, I know the scenario from another user. Just please stay online until I give you a debug version. Thank you.

OK download this:
http://neuron2.net/misc/DGIndexNV_Morku.exe
Install Dbgview from my website, all the way at the bottom of the Mine page.
Start Dbgview and set a filter to Include Morku. Then run DGIndexNV_Morku and make it fail. Post the results from Dbgview here. We will know what direction to go in from the results.
EDIT: after you hit F4, does it crash immediately, or only after hitting OK in the dialog?
Morku
24th June 2014, 19:08
If you are interested: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q3k5df0inou70p6/DGIndexNV.mkv
How do I set the filter? Include: DGIndexNV_Morku.exe or Exlude: DGIndexNV_Morku.exe? I don't know how to use. Have to be Dbgview.exe in the same folder?
EDIT: How you can see, immediately after pressing F4.

As I said, put
Morku
(not DGIndexNV_Morku.exe) in the
Include
box.
The executable can be anywhere. You have to start it before DGIndexNV_Morku.

No, that's OK, I expected that. Please re-download DGIndexNV_Morku and do it again. Each time I add new traces to get closer to the problem.
Thank you for your patience and assistance.

Please close and re-open Dbgview each time, or do Edit/Clear display.
Please double check it. Your video didn't match the trace.
Wait for another version please...

Looks like GetSaveFileName() is failing (sporadically, on Windows 8/8.1). Please re-download and try again.

It's a Microsoft problem. I am looking for a workaround.
Guest
25th June 2014, 14:33
I have another attempt. Please re-download DGIndexNV_Morku.exe and test it. The traces were removed so don't bother with Dbgview, just tell me if it still crashes.
Morku
25th June 2014, 15:11
No, it doesn't crash anymore. It's working now :)
Morku
25th June 2014, 15:14
Oh, wait, no. It crashs when I click on "Desktop".
Here you can see again: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xelk4njihn5tbtk/desktop.mkv
I also realised, that the program detects the fps of the mov file wrong. The preview window says in title 25fps. But it's wrong. It's 29,97fps.
Guest
25th June 2014, 15:24
Please re-download again. Does it crash now only when you click on Desktop? If so, I may know what is happening (permissions problem).
DGIndexNV does not support MOV! Don't test with MOV files.
Morku
25th June 2014, 15:30
It still crash when I click on Desktop (btw. I changed path of my Desktop to D:\Sonstiges\Desktop). The window just disappear, no error message.
(Now testes with mpls again ^^)
Guest
25th June 2014, 15:35
Can you please read and answer my specific questions?
Again: Does it crash now *only* when you click on Desktop? Try to save to some innocuous location.
Don't use MOV!
Morku
25th June 2014, 15:44
It doesn't crash on the other 4 buttons (history, bibliothek, pc, network). Only on Desktop DGIndexNV vanish. When I click on PC, than Desktop in the windows, it doesn't crash.
But it also crash, when I open my "Sonstiges" location on my PC. D:\Sonstiges. It's the place, where Desktop is located.
And I said: Now tested with mpls again
When I don't open D:\Sonstiges and save in D:\. It's working. No crash.
Guest
25th June 2014, 15:51
Well, that's your workaround for now. Don't save to your Desktop location. I will continue investigating to see if that can be fixed.
By the way, I can't read German, so images like that are no use to me, unless you translate the message for me.
Guest
25th June 2014, 16:32
One more attempt. Please re-download and test.
Do you have any PDF files in the Desktop directory? Can I see a listing of that directory?
Guest
25th June 2014, 16:43
Also, go into folder options/view and click off Show popup and file info for desktop. Does that stop the crashing?
Morku
25th June 2014, 17:06
Behaves like previous version. It vanish/crash when I click on Desktop and it shows up a crash popup when I open D:\Sonstiges
If you mean this option: http://s7.directupload.net/images/140625/6yay3j7r.png it doesn't make any difference. Still crash when I disable, click on "Übernehmen" and try. Yes, it's german, but the position and layout of that options should be in any other language the same.
Yes, there are pdfs on my Desktop.
[list of a desktop]
It's a mess :D
In my download folder are pdfs, too. It doesn't crash, when I open my download folder.
Guest
25th June 2014, 17:59
When you changed the tooltip option, did you apply it also to your configured desktop folder?
There are rumors this is due to PDF files. If you can temporarily move them out and retest it would be interesting.
If neither of those leads anywhere, I would have to say you have a workaround. Anything more will require you to talk to Microsoft. I have exhausted known things found on the internet, and without being able to reproduce it, I cannot attach OlyDbg and trace it myself.

Since version 2047 I can't save a project anymore. It shut down (crashs?).
...
It seems a window wants to appear but it closes immediately. It doesn't happen on 2046.
@neuron2
Did you figure out why it works with 2046?
Morku
25th June 2014, 18:36
I moved all pdfs out in another folder (and no subfolder of desktop) and it's like always. It crash when I click on desktop. The folder option should be functional on all folders, including desktop.
Maybe I switch back to 2046 until there is a solution. This version works fine.
