i'm not clearly understand what do you mean.

you can get the film's time by any player.
the time in the calenter is in the following format:
d:hh:mm:s.ms
eg: 56:31.123 -> 56 minutes and 31.123 seconds.
1:26:12.123 -> 1 hour and 26 minutes and 12.123 seconds.

Suggestion: How about an option to disable auto closing in 30 seconds of the report dialogue after an encoding session - the one which states starting/ending time and how many success and failures?

Often enough, there are errors where 1st pass can't even be started and ERM will skip the problematic task. If I leave the encoding overnight, the dialogue box closes and I have to manually check all my files on the harddisk to ensure nothing screws up during the process.

Thank you.:sly:

you can check the file "producer.log" for details, and make sure you have checked "create log" at Global settings dialog.

Um.. yeah I know about the log, but it's pretty troublesome to open up explorer & navigate to the correct directory to view the log. How about a button to view the logs in the GUI?

Thanks.

SO shaded means not used correct? So if I want to use new rate control it has to be checked, then what he difference between not used and disable isn't it the same thing.

Is there any way to save audio only as *.m4a (like RealPlayer 10 GOLD does as default) or *.mka for RealAudio 10 respectively *.rm for RealAudio 8?
Could this be implemented in the future?

Btw. I've tried to encode with RealAudio Lossless but it fails everytime.

The producer is just superb-no doubt. I can split rmvb files with the editor-can't figure out how to join. All trials have failed.

clone83
19th October 2004, 07:29
you can join with ermp, just open up the first half of what u want to join and then go to settings and select paste, then click on add and find the other half that u want to paste in and then press ok. Now Press start and that should work....

P.S sorry if that it hard to follow but im in a rush. And by the way when is there going to be a new version out???

Hello Redcheek ,

October 20, I have download your last ERMP the version 1.82 on the Chinese site: http://www2.fixdown.com/soft/15866.htm, for a friend.
As all those that sustain you, my colleague is also very happy to your work.
Good work and good continuation. ;)

RealVideo 10/9 Codec Properties Dialog

right of encodeAllFrames and with B Frames under it

Ooo How did I miss that?

BTW, what does the option encode all frames do? Is ERM not encoding all frames now? Is this recommended for encodig anime?

Thanks.

encodeAllFrames is recommended to always be enabled. for medium to high bitrates it does not really matter, but at low bitrates, the RealVideo encoder will by default skip frames in order to maintain the bitrate. This is the way it has always been -- nothing to do with Easy RM Producer.. For medium to high bitrate, encodeAllFrames is just to make sure /all/ frames are always encoded, and none skipped "by accident".

some questions are what does

chroma mode desison, best psnr mode, and low bitrate boost.

shaded: default
checked: enabled

Hi :)
Thanks for your nifty tools.
- Here's some report for you:

(1) Easy RealMedia Tools.exe seems to try to write a "job file dump" as f:\test.txt, and will get an error if, for instance, there is no "F" drive in your computer. It seems that the tool works perfectly without this test.txt, but it would be always interesting to check the job file generated by the GUI. So, it'd be nice if I could set the path for this test.txt as one of the global settings.

Let me also note that the current feature is potentially risky, if you have a very important file called f:\test.txt already and your tool will overwite it without asking.

(2) In the Settings | Specify a File Name | Browse... you get the GetSaveFileName box, where the Filter is only (*.rm)... I'd like to see *.rmvb there, and probably Def Ext should be *.rmvb because almost all ppl would use .rmvb if not .mkv.

That's it. Keep up your good job :)

Just curious, what if you enable encodeAllFrames and also Dropdupe? or is it a different thing?

Before I discovered Easy RealMedia Producer a few days ago, I came across a piece of french software called NexusRV10 that seems to be a hack of Easy RealMedia Producer. When I opened this soft with Resource Hacker to attempt to translate it from French to English for my personal use, I noticed there were several dialogs in the resources section that don't show up when you run the program. One of them is titled Easy RealMedia Editor and there are some others as well that are all exact clones of the dialogs that are activable in ERM and there is nothing in NRV10 that is not in ERM. The website of this man is very pretentious. You might want to check this out at : http://users.skynet.be/NEXUS6/nexusrv10.htm

thx for notice
i'v downloaded nexusrv10 and check it out.
i found that nexusrv10 is really a copy of Easy RealMedia Producer(v1.62) with Resources been hacked.

A translation of my message on NexusRV10 board :

"NexusRV10 is copied on RealMedia Producer 1.62 with only little modifications of the interface that anyone is able to achieve with Ressource Hacker without knowing anything about programing. Nexus is a thief. He steals the hard and generous work of someone else and let believe he, himself is the author of it. Disgusting character!"

I'd like to encourage you posters and users of Easy RealMedia Producer to spam his forum with similar messages especially that Redcheek may not have the material means of enforcing legal action if this pig does not comply with removing his stolen product from the web. Thanks.

Hi!
I just updated Easy Real Media Producer to latest version (1.84) but I still get this errors:
***********************************************************
*** 2004-12-15 20:14:32 New Session Start. Jobs:1 ***
---2004-12-15 20:14:32 Start Encode Job 1, (C:\reality-tv.avs)->(C:\reality-tv.rmvb)!
,Error,None,2004/12/15 20:14:33,0,Failed to Set Property: Key chromaModeDecision Value 1
,Error,None,2004/12/15 20:14:33,0,Failed to initialize video codec 04VR
,Error,None,2004/12/15 20:14:33,0,Job failed to start encoding
---2004-12-15 20:14:33 Job Encode Failed(C:\reality.avs)!
*** 2004-12-15 20:14:33 Session Finished. Finished:1,Success:0,Fail:1.
****************************************************
What the hell is that line with 04VR means? I've always thought that RealVideo 10 has RV40 fourcc. Am I right? And how to fix this problem. Cause i need this app working and now i have to use command-line producer. It's hard for me, I like GUI.

Sirber

You need to update your dll "erv4.dll" :)

karl_lillevold
15th December 2004, 20:00
strange, 1.84 should already come with erv4.dll (1206 version) that supports this flag (chromaModeDecision)

Hi, I'm trying to set correctly rv10 parameters in ERMP but it's quite hard. Does anybody have recomended settings for "usual" encoding like :

anime low bitrate
movie low bitrate
movie high bitrate...

thanks lot!

@ sirber : I'm glad to see that you're t realy leaving doom9 for unite video : you're on both forums.

1.have you ever selected 'Locate producerSDK'
try un-selected

2.try uninstall ermp and re-install ermp-v184 full version.

Maybe because HelixYUV codecs not installed? I noticed in ERMP 1.83 installer did not contain helixyuv codecs.

Uncheking "Locate producer SDK" doesn't helps. I have the Helix YUV Codecs installed and it gives the same error. Maybe I need to import some keys into registry to get rid of the "Failed to Set Property: Key chromaModeDecision Value 1" error? And why I have to download the latest version of full product and not to download only update?

karl_lillevold
16th December 2004, 19:24
The error you get indicate that ERMP is somehow not using the latest version of the encoder DLL, which might be caused by an older Helix Producer SDK being registered on your system.

A couple of things you can try:

1) Search for all copies of helixprodctrl.dll. You will probably find more than one. Open cmd line window, cd to folder, and type 'regsvr32 /u helixprodctrl.dll' for all of them. Un-install and re-install ERMP.

2) Last resort, search for all copies of erv4.dll on your system. Replace all with the latest (1206).
