Nice! The 0.63f version works perfectly for me as well now, too.

@ehushagen
yes... i forgot to publish the changelog... 0.63f
FIXED: On avs/m2v/d2v the first audio selected is then used (thanks to ehushagen)
ADDED: PayPal button, feel free to ignore... or not :D
ADDED: If audio encoding goes bad AutoMKV will ask to continue or quit (beta, suggest from AMED)
I am VERY GRATEFULL to ehushagen for being the first in Donors List :thanks: :)

yep... no unicode support now... , i will search...
BHH
This buid -0.63f(removed link,454kB) crash always after audio encoding, the new "f"(421kB) works good. There is not a big problem for me to using only latina letters in files names, I've been waiting for unicode build :)
Edit: After succesfull queue encoding, a window of program appears again, and then I choose video file for next encoding, the window for audio file not appears, nothing happens, I can't open audio file, until I restart the application

Thanks for a great tool!
One question: I just want good quality , and I don't care how big the output is. What profile and output size should I use?
Two suggestions: first, an option in the Disk Settings list for "Don't Care About Size". Second, could you make the window border not resizable? If you size it bigger, all you get is more empty space, and if you size it smaller, you just hide controls, so Fixed Dialog is a better border style choice, I think.
Thanks again for your excellent program.

Hi,
Great GUI, I'll make a small contribution when my Xmas money gets paid into my account. :)
If I chose .avs input with 5.1 AC3 audio as 1st audio and no second audio, and set the audio to Lame stereo 128, the audio isn't encoded, it just stays like this:
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/1844/automkvaudiononencodescly7.png
until I close the window.

Fixed... anyway queue is to use for more files and than quit, not for one file job...
Two suggestions: first, an option in the Disk Settings list for "Don't Care About Size".
ADDED ! , AutoMKV will set profile and size (and width... fell free to change with to your taste!)
Second, could you make the window border not resizable?
FIXED, thanks for suggestion !
@Tailschao
the audio is being normalized... is normal that "seems stopped"... try with a shorter sample :), you will see what i mean
about donate button: is just missing image or the button ?
@ALL
update www.64k.it/andres/data/a/AutoMKV063g.exe
ADDED: "Don't care about size" in size list, selecting this preset the profile (xvid or x264) will switch to quality encoding (suggestion by ottar)
FIXED: using queue more time without restarting automkv (thanks to vOjToL)
FIXED: border in no more resizable (thanks to ottar)

Thanks for giving us the quality encoding mode!
I have one more tiny bug to report: the checkbox for Episodic DVD is misspelled as "espisodic".
You are very responsive. Take a break for Christmas - you deserve it.

about donate button: is just missing image or the button ?
Yes, it's missing: http://www.mm.pl/~vojtol/automkv/automkv.jpg but the button is working :)
When input audio is mp3 mono, output is mono too, even preset is: lame, stereo. I know, mono to stereo it's a not big difference, dimension of result file is the same...but for standalone player is the difference, sound playing only for central speaker, not left&right.

I have a movie that I was encoding using the CQ Xvid profile. The audio was way out of sync (by about a minute). I tried a second movie and had the same problem. These are both movies that encoded properly in 62c. I then tried the first movie in CQ x264 and the audio was in sync.
What do you want me to look at?

What are people's experiences with using dvr-ms files? I tried loading one this morning, and it just made BAutoDeint hang at 18% although the hard drive was still crunching away on it.

Thanks for this excellent GUI.
After many tests, I could not manage to get autoMKV to autocrop without using the resize function.
I am using the fixed bitrate option for all my encoding. I have the impression that it works with fixed file size but not with specified bitrate.
Thanks,

I could not manage to get autoMKV to autocrop without using the resize function
just set width to full width... usually 720... anyway with next update will be possible to select in width list "AutoCrop Only" :)
about bitrate problem: could you please post a log ?

once you know how to deinterlace it you can apply in deinterlacer text box the deinterlacer used string :)

When i try and manually play the Resmovie.avs it gives me this error
Script Error: expected function name following '.'
(D:\dead_mans_chest1\video_TS\temp\Resmovie.avs, line 72, column 27)
it seems that this line is causing the problem,
LeakKernelDeint(order=bff.,sharp=true)
i have tried to remove the . in the the above line, then the error changes to
i don't know what "bff" means
(D:\dead_mans_chest1\video_TS\temp\Resmovie.avs, line 72)
Is there any chance you could have the compression test added to the simple error checking as you have done with if the audio encoding fails, if AutoResize movie size: = 0, ERROR Message problem with avs.

Converting an episodic DVD to MKV only gets chapters for the first title on the DVD.
Input has three episodes, the first with 14 chapters, and the other two with seven chapters each. Output has the first 14 chapters correct, but no chapters for the rest of the file.

Just one IFO file. There are four PGCs, length 0:21, 1:30:59, 45:01, and 44:44. The MKV I get out has the right length (3:01:17), but the chapter points are the ones for the longest title (the 1:30:59 one). The chapter points are wrong, though, because they start from 00:00, not from 0:21.

Anyone know how to make a file for Zune with AutoMKV? The specification says it will play a H.264 format in a .m4v file.
So, I have tried to make a *.mp4 file in the using CE-mainprofile and then renaming it *.m4v. But the Zune it won't load it.

Dunno what i'm doing wrong but it can't seeme to get by when AVIMux starts. It crashes badly and the whole encode is terminated.
Right after it builds "audio.mp3". It quits with a error stating "audio.mp3" is busy, and both winXP and AVIMux errors and whole encode terminates.
Using a .ts source as input, using the analog sound in it.
Which of all 300 :) logfiles should i post ?
Also choosing AutoMKV not using DGIndex but ProjectX is somewhat broken, even if i choose "use ProjectX" it is still using DGIndex.

@fogbav.... some more information ???
@weaver what are the specifics (width/height/bitratre/level...) of Zune ?
BHH
Well in one place it says this.
"Windows Media Video (.wmv): Main Profile, CBR or VBR, up to 1.5 Mbps peak video bitrate, 320 x 240 pixels, 30 frames per sec., with Windows Media Audio up to 192 Kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo audio; Simple Profile, CBR, up to 736 Kbps video bitrate, 320 x 240 pixels, 30 frames per sec., with Windows Media Audio up to 192 Kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo audio."
and in another it says
" Video
Windows Media Video (.wmv): All bitrates and resolutions
MPEG4 (.mp4, .m4v, .mov): Simple Profile, all bitrates, and resolutions
H.264 (.mp4, .m4v, .mov): Baseline and Main Profile, all bitrates and resolutions"
But the more I look at it the more I think that the first choice is for the Zune Handheld and the second is for Zune Player on the PC.
So, can AutoMKV make wmv files that will work?

1) if you set resizer to NONE the movie will not resized or autocropped
2) if you set resizer to NOT NONE (any other resizer) and width to 720 (or less) le movie will be autocropped (and resized)
3) if you set resizer to NOT NONE (any other resizer) and width to AutoCrop Only the movie will be only autocropped

with the new bsn.dll it works like a hell to encode AC3 Audio even if there is the change from 2/0 AC3 to 3/2 AC3 (commercials). No DelayCut or Bepipe is nessecary (Bepipe brings up dangerous errors when AC3 Format is changed --- resulting in a 5KB big AC3 Track)

re download 0.63l
added in codec audio "custom bat"
you must put into \temp created (or already present) the file mkvmaudio.bat and (if nedded) mkvmaudio2.bat
MUST BE NAMED AS I WROTE.
in those bat file the encoder must procuced or audio.xxx (mp4/mp3/ogg) or audio2.xxx
so
start /low /wait /min .\exe\besweet\besweet.exe -core( -input ".\tmp\film.mp2" -output ".\tmp\final\film_en.aac" -logfile ".\tmp\final\film_en.aac.log" ) -azid( -s stereo -c normal -L -3db ) -bsn( -vbr 0.2 ) -ota( -g max )
must be followed by mp4box audio.mp4 -add film_en.aac
and
AC3 :
start /low /wait /min .\exe\besweet\besweet "BeSweet.exe" -core( -input ".\tmp\film.ac3" -output ".\tmp\final\audio.mp4" -logfile ".\tmp\final\film.ac3.log" ) -azid( -c normal ) -bsn( -vbr 0.2 -6chnew ) -ota( -g max )

Best practice is to set up a virtual pc in VM with minimal codexes installed so no filter is interrupting the other.
War on pc is when you install a filter mega pack as ACE or something like this.
And ... if programms crashes (hard crashes) check your memory with Memcheck .... and try to rar about 20 Gig on your HD and do a verify over the archive ...
(only some tips 4 instable pcs ... don't be angry about the tips ok ?)

First, i'm not the only one with this problem, a buddy of mine has *exact the same problem*.
Second, NO megapack's or any other strange "codec-packs", found on pages with 500 pop-up-naked-ladies are installed here. Only the ones needed. No more, no less.
I have 2 gig's of ram, the harddisc i use to encode to has ~300gig free.
